Achilles tendon rupture risk appears to be higher in women's artistic gymnastics compared to other collegiate sports, however little is understood about personal, training, and performance factors potentially associated with this elevated risk. We aimed to illustrate the change in the foot external eversion moment of habitual rearfoot strike runners when they immediately change their foot strike pattern to an anterior foot strike pattern. Eighteen healthy males participated and were instructed to run with their habitual foot strike pattern and a modified (anterior) foot strike pattern. From the three-dimensional coordinates of running (250 Hz) and the ground reaction force (1000 Hz), the foot external eversion/inversion moments were calculated. The purpose of the study was to find out the relationship of Javelin throw performance on peak vertical Ground Reaction Force (GRFv) at last third step, at penultimate step and at delivery step and release velocity at the instant of release. Twelve national level male javelin throwers performed six trials of javelin throw with adequate rest between trials. The Qualisys 3D mocap system were synchronized with four force plates to capture the delivery phase. This study addresses the challenge of accurately estimating Horizontal Ground Reaction Force (hGRF) from Vertical Ground Reaction Force (vGRF) in the Counter-Movement Jump (CMJ) test. While vGRF is pivotal for quantifying vertical jump height, understanding hGRF provides insights into horizontal propulsion and overall jump efficiency. Athletes (n=40) who participated in the AIU Athletics championship were asked to perform the Counter-Movement jump in Kistler force plates. The force data was measured through bilateral Kistler Force plate model 9287CA with dimensions 1200x600x100 and analyzed using MARS software. The purpose of this study was to determine if an acute bought of reactive agility training (RAT), exemplified by a Mirror Drill, leads to decreases in biomechanical risk factors typically related to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. 3D motion capture data and forces were collected during pre-training and post-training test sessions which involved an unanticipated 45^o cuts on both left and right limbs; Participants completed an acute bout of RAT using a Mirror Drill in between testing sessions. We aimed to examine whether the lower limb joint kinematics related to the vertical stiffness differ between the early and the late phases of the 400-m sprint. An inertial measurement unit was used to collect the step-to-step whole-body kinematics during a 400-m sprint from twenty male collegiate track and field athletes. This study showed that larger knee flexion and ankle dorsiflexion angles were associated with larger vertical stiffness during the late phase, whereas there are no relationships between the vertical stiffness and lower limb joint kinematics during the early phase of the 400-m sprint.
