There are many methods to measure the suction and saturation point of any soil and the most used is Tensiometer. The objective of this research is to investigate a new trend to measure the saturation point and suction by using soil moisture content sensors (SMCS) and compare the procedure with tensiometer for the granular soil. The soil in this study has been prepared at three relative densities (5%, 35% and 75%) used. In the present work, analysis of wear behavior, tensile and thermal properties have been done for two sets Poly Methyl Methacrylate samples which is reinforced through licorice particles and pomegranate peels particles. This work reports on the incorporation of Flint and Kaolin rocks powders in the cement mortar in an attempt to improve its mechanical properties and produce an eco-friendly mortar. Flint and Kaolin powders are prepared by dry mechanical milling. The two powders are added separately to the mortars substituting cement partially. The two powders are found to improve the mechanical properties of the mortars. Hardness and compressive strength are found to increase with the increase of powders constituents in the cement mortars. The strict new regulations to reduce the sulfur content of fuel require new economical and efficient ways to remove the sulfur from the organic sulfur components. In the current work, sulfur was removed from the actual crude oil containing 2.5 wt.% from southern Iraq, specifically the Halfaya Oil Field was studied using adsorption desulfurization with activated carbon (AC). The effects of different operating conditions, including the dose of AC (0.2-1.0 gm), time (15–120 min) and temperature (30–50°C) were investigated. In this paper, a new design of the model reference control scheme is proposed in a class of nonlinear strict-feedback system. First, the system is analyzed using Lyapunov stability analysis. Next, a model reference is used to improve system performance. Polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) was dehydrochlorinated by alkaline-solution (NaOH) in determining molarity (3.0 M) followed by grafting with acrylamide (AM) monomer onto dehydrochlorinated PVC (DHPVC) backbone by free-radical graft copolymerization to produce new grafted polymer referred as graft 3M. This research work presents a nonlinear finite element investigation on the behavior of high strength fiber reinforced concrete beams. This investigation is carried out in order to get a better understanding of their behavior throughout the entire loading history. The three- dimensional 20-node brick elements are used to model the concrete, while the reinforcing bars are modeled as axial members embedded within the concrete brick elements. The compressive behavior of concrete is simulated by an elastic-plastic work-hardening model followed by a perfectly plastic response, which terminate at the onset of crushing.
