System And Method For Knowledge Reuse From Infrastructure Interaction Exhaust And Cross-Agent Behavioral Metadata Inference, Eric Zavesky

Defensive Publications Series

A system and method for cross-agent behavioral pattern learning and knowledge reuse from infrastructure interaction exhaust. The system passively captures interaction traces from multiple actors - including autonomous agents, semi-automated processes, and human users - as they interact with databases, APIs, and infrastructure endpoints through heterogeneous surfaces. A semantic inference layer analyzes captured traces to infer properties beyond raw telemetry, including organic field discovery, relevance weighting, prompt-level field alias mining, role frequency and sensitivity determination, and retry-aware intent detection. A pattern sanitization module strips individual actor identity and raw data values while preserving role-scoped organizational tokens, producing parameterized patterns with …

Rachel's Quest, William Lindsey Mcdonald Sep 2026

Rachel's Quest, William Lindsey Mcdonald

Correspondence

Letter from William Lindsey McDonald to Rachel, with an unlisted last name, in response to the question "who is Piedmont?" McDonald's answer endeavors to stretch across time and becomes philosophical at times. To the outsider, it would appear that McDonald was answering an inquiry about the Piedmont plateau region within the Eastern United States, a relevant subject for a local historian who often described geography. However, McDonald is instead telling about the somewhat humorous existence of an "old owl" that inhabited his childhood.

Immigrant Women’S Experiences Of Living In An Abusive Relationship: A Narrative Inquiry, Fay M. Dastjerdi, Sassan Issari, Zipora Rahmanov, Elizabeth Sombilon

International Nursing Research Congress (INRC)

Immigration has become a reality in most parts of the world for different reasons. Iranian immigrants ranked sixth in acquiring Canadian citizenship and eighth in being admitted as permanent residents (Bains, 2024; Risdon, 2024). Most immigrants experience some degree of loss and disassociation after being dislocated. Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) impacts people of all genders, ages and socioeconomic, racial, educational, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds; however, women experience this form of gender-based violence at much higher rates, most often perpetrated by men (Statistics Canada, 2023 & 2025). IPV presents a significant public health challenge affecting diverse demographic groups, including immigrant women …

Sla Elastic Resin Curing Test Data, Richard Amesimenu, Johnson Nwogu, Haijun Gong

Faculty Datasets

3D printing via stereolithography (SLA) enables high-resolution polymer components, but as-printed parts may exhibit incomplete polymerization and reduced mechanical performance. This study investigates the effects of UV post-curing time on SLA-printed elastic photopolymer resin. Specimens were evaluated using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), uniaxial tensile testing (ASTM D412 Type C), and Durometer Type M hardness testing. Results show that increased post-curing enhances crosslink density, tensile strength, elastic modulus, and hardness, while extended curing may reduce ductility. An optimal post-curing window balancing stiffness and flexibility was identified. Testing datasets include DSC (dsc/), tensile testing (tensile/), and hardness testing (hardness/) results for uncured …

Toward Reliable Compressive Strength Prediction Of Marble Powder-Blended Concrete: Comparative Machine Learning And Shap-Based Interpretability, Shamal Abdullah Mohammed, Aryan Far H. Sherwani, Nzar Shakr Piro

Polytechnic Journal

The production of conventional concrete has a significant impact on the environment, primarily due to the cement (C) component. To mitigate this impact, binders with reduced environmental footprints were used in concrete mixtures as a partial replacement for C, including powders of industrial byproducts. Waste marble powder (WMP) is one such alternative; however, its incorporation causes complicated interactions with cementitious materials, making the compressive strength (CS) prediction difficult. This study developed and evaluated four predictive models (multilinear regression (MLR), full quadratic regression (FQ), M5P tree, and artificial neural network (ANN)) using a dataset of 306 WMP-blended concrete mixes from 16 …

Publications and Research

The 2026 State of the Unions report finds that while union density remains strong in New York, membership rates remain largely unchanged, despite renewed organizing, successful strikes and strong public support for labor. Union density stands at 20.5 percent in New York City and 20.9 percent statewide, more than double the national rate of 10 percent, yet well below levels recorded two decades ago. The report also examines the persistent divide between public- and private-sector unionization, the industries and workers sustaining organized labor, and the forces limiting growth. A special section considers Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s labor-friendly record and the opportunities …

Implementation Of Asynchronous Mentor Education Modules To Improve Mentoring Competency, Elvira Sayfutdinova Sep 2026

Implementation Of Asynchronous Mentor Education Modules To Improve Mentoring Competency, Elvira Sayfutdinova

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Student Projects

Background & Significance: Structured mentorship supports new CRNAs as they transition to practice, fostering confidence, job satisfaction, and professional growth. The WashU Medicine Department of Anesthesiology (WUDA) launched a CRNA Mentorship Program in 2022, but it lacked standardized mentor education, leading to inconsistent mentor preparation and variable mentoring practices.

Review of Literature Findings: Structured mentor education improves mentoring competency across healthcare settings, yet the literature specific to CRNAs remains limited. Asynchronous, self-paced formats reduce barriers to participation for busy clinicians, but no prior study has evaluated a fully asynchronous, prerecorded mentor-education format for CRNAs.

Methods: This pre-/post quality improvement (QI) …

Background & Significance: Intensive care unit (ICU) patients often face serious illness or terminal diagnoses requiring invasive monitoring and life-sustaining treatments. Palliative care (PC) supports patients and their families by focusing on improving quality of life, goals of care, and symptom management. It is estimated that 14-20% of ICU patients in the United States could benefit from palliative care consults (PCCs) with potential savings of $6 billion per year. Nurses caring for these patients face unique ethical challenges and may develop secondary post-traumatic stress, emotional strain, burnout, and compassion fatigue.

Review of Literature: The review of literature supported a structured …

Implementation Of A Learning Module To Reduce Advanced Practice Provider Preceptor Burden, Michelle Bloom Sep 2026

Implementation Of A Learning Module To Reduce Advanced Practice Provider Preceptor Burden, Michelle Bloom

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Student Projects

The transition of advanced practice providers (APPs) from student to provider, or from an experienced provider to a new organization or location, has been identified as a high-stress period with potential turnover for new-hire APPs. APP preceptors play a key role in this transition. Limited time to teach during the clinical day and a limited knowledge base among new hires were two of many factors associated with increased preceptor burden. A brief online educational module that provided pre-clinical, organization-specific education was proposed to improve new-hire APPs’ knowledge base and reduce preceptor burden, among APP preceptors working in a 36-bed surgical/burn/trauma …

From Retrieval To Generation: Building And Evaluating An Ai Accompanist For Piano Duets With An Anticipatory Music Transformer, Sai Ruthvik Uppala

Masters Theses

Systems that accompany a live musician, such as ACCompanion, work by retrieval: they hold a written accompaniment and stretch its timing to follow the soloist, so they can only accompany music whose second part already exists as a score. This thesis asks whether that second part can instead be generated, and specifically whether a machine learning model can write an accompaniment for a piece whose score it has never seen. A player performs the primo, the melody; a model produces the secondo, the accompaniment; and a score follower places the generated notes against the live performance. If this works, a …
