As semiconductor manufacturing scales past the 32 nm threshold toward atomic-scale devices, physical variability has emerged as a paramount challenge threatening computing efficiency, system predictability, and hardware longevity in warehouse-scale datacenters. Nanoscale device scaling introduces severe process variations—such as Random Dopant Fluctuations (RDF) and Line Edge Roughness (LER)—which manifest at the architectural level as a 30% dispersion in core operating frequencies and up to a 10× disparity in sub-threshold leakage power. A method is disclosed in which a real-world site is photographically captured by an uncrewed aircraft (or ground platform) carrying survey-grade GNSS (RTK) positioning; reconstructed as a photorealistic three-dimensional scene representation (such as a 3D Gaussian splat) in a metric frame bound to an Earth-fixed geodetic datum; and then used as the authoring environment for camera moves, such that a keyframed, cinematically parameterized virtual camera path composed inside the reconstruction is (a) validated and compiled into a machine-executable flight mission that a real aircraft flies at true coordinates, (b) certified for obstacle clearance against a conservative geometric over-approximation derived from …

Fuzzy inference systems have demonstrated considerable promise for EEG-based cognitive state monitoring in neurodegenerative conditions. However, two design decisions significantly influence system performance and clinical applicability: the choice of inference architecture (Takagi-Sugeno vs Mamdani) and the method of rule and membership function generation (manual expert-driven vs data-driven automated). This paper presents a comparative analysis of both dimensions in the context of an EEG-based Alzheimer’s disease monitoring system operating on the ds004504 OpenNeuro dataset (88 subjects: 36 AD, 23 FTD, 29 HC). Background: Transgender women experience a disproportionate burden of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) globally and in Thailand. Integrating gender-affirming care into sexual health services may improve uptake of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) testing, treatment, and prevention. Cost data are essential to inform program planning and policy decisions regarding inclusion of such services within Thailand’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) system.

Background: Patients with congenital heart disease who have previously undergone right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) surgery frequently require repeat valve replacement later in life. While transcatheter pulmonary valve replacement (TPVR) offers less invasive reintervention compared with surgery, its high device cost raises concerns about affordability under Indonesia’s National Health Insurance Program (Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional).
Objectives: To compare the cost-effectiveness of surgical pulmonary valve replacement (SPVR) versus TPVR in post-RVOT surgery patients, and to estimate the TPVR price threshold for cost-effectiveness from a societal perspective.

Fatty acid ionic liquids (FAILs) are a class of ionic liquids (ILs) with relatively low toxicity and potential applications in biological systems. This study examined the interactions of tetramethylguanidinium decanoate, tetramethylguanidinium octanoate, choline decanoate, and choline octanoate with lipid membranes, proteins, and nucleic acids. Membrane leakage experiments using model lipid vesicles showed that decanoate-based FAILs produced greater membrane permeabilization than octanoate-based analogues, consistent with their higher membrane permeability. These effects were stronger for the ILs than for decanoate alone and occurred below the critical micelle concentration (CMC), suggesting that micelle formation may not be essential for membrane disruption. While revisiting ecogothic perspectives (Conesa, 2024), a topical turn is made toward understanding interconnected fear responses to uncanny landscapes as a factor of previous and new traumatic events. The International Journal of Ecopsychology (IJE)

Perceived discrimination has consistently been shown to be associated with diminished mental health, but the psychological processes underlying this link are less well understood. The present series of four studies assessed the role of a history traumatic events in generating a proliferation of discrimination stressors and threat appraisals, which in turn predict psychological distress (depressive and posttraumatic stress symptoms) (mediation model), or whether prior traumatic events sensitize group members, such that when they encounter discrimination, the link to stress-related symptoms is heightened (moderation model). Each year, SC TEACHER administers the SC Teacher Exit Survey to public PK–12 classroom teachers who are leaving teaching positions in their districts. The survey provides insight into departing teachers’ next steps, the factors that contributed to their decisions to leave, and the conditions that might encourage some educators to remain in or return to South Carolina public education.
