Background and aim: Duodenal atresia (DoA) is a congenital condition that is characterized by complete or incomplete duodenal obstruction. This condition needs urgent surgical intervention that carries risks of postoperative complications especially in low-birth-weight babies and with associated comorbidities. The success rate of the surgical procedure was reported to be higher than 90%. This case study details a neonate’s clinical course reporting the challenge in the management of delayed stricture and malnutrition after the primary surgery.

Helicobacter Pylori Infection’S Impact On Thyroid Dysfunction And Serum Interleukin-6 Levels, Mohamed M. Sehree, Ashraf R. Salem Al-Safar

Helicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative bacterium associated with peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer. The study aimed to evaluate its prognosis and its relationship to sex, age, thyroid function, IL-6, and blood groups. 120 blood samples were collected from patients with gastrointestinal disorders at Al-Salam Hospital in Mosul between May and October 2024. The samples underwent clinical examination, including anti-H. pylori antibodies (chromatography and IgA ELISA to confirm active infection), thyroid hormones (Minvidus), interleukin-6 (ELISA), and blood typing using serological techniques.

This article assesses Tanzania’s level of compliance to international COVID-19 preventive measures, with a focus on the political, economic, and socio-cultural factors that influenced the adherence. A qualitative research approach with descriptive design were adopted. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 28 purposively selected participants, including healthcare workers and government officials from Dar es Salaam and Dodoma. Moreover, relevant documents from health sector were reviewed. Thematic analysis was performed using Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS). This study provides a comprehensive exploration of the unique challenges and needs experienced by IDPs, synthesising existing literature to offer critical insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers striving to improve the mental health and psychosocial well-being of forcibly displaced persons. The purpose of this research was to examine if there are any variances in a female athlete’s ability to produce power, that could be correlated with the menstrual cycle phases. The study observed three elite female athletes throughout 13 weeks, collecting relative propulsive power and relative braking power data from their vertical jump performances which occurred multiple times a week. Due to a history of violence, dispossession, and racism, Native American tribes in California face structural disadvantages and inequities with respect to water rights. At the same time, tribes lack meaningful legal remedies to gain access to the water resources necessary to maintain their ways of life. One key issue is that California water agencies traditionally did not consider tribal water uses when implementing water quality control laws, leaving such uses unprotected. This study aims to analyze the fast-food consumption behavior among physically active college students in a university in Beijing and provide a scientific basis for future nutritional education and intervention strategies targeting this population. A simple random sampling method was used to select 850 undergraduate students from a sports-focused university in Beijing. Data on fast-food consumption were collected through a self-administered questionnaire. Introduction Gestational weight gain (GWG) is an important indicator of maternal nutrition to be monitored during pregnancy. However, there is no evidence-based tool that can be used to monitor it across all geographic locations and pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) categories. The WHO is undertaking a project to develop GWG charts by pre-pregnancy BMI category, and to identify GWG ranges associated with the lowest risks of adverse maternal and infant outcomes. But what happens when these individuals become so accustomed to trauma that they can no longer recognize it as such? This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of African American daughters who grew up with absent fathers, examining how this experience influenced development, relationships, identity formation, and resilience. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, six central themes emerged: (1) father-daughter relationship, (2) emotional and psychological impact, (3) identity and development, (4) social and relational outcomes, (5) decision-making and achievement, and (6) resilience and adaptation. Each theme was interpreted through the lens of attachment and social learning theories with a biblical worldview.
