The Material Life Of Visual-Textual Pairs, Marzieh Mosavarzadeh, Ken Morimoto, Rita L. Irwin
The Material Life Of Visual-Textual Pairs, Marzieh Mosavarzadeh, Ken Morimoto, Rita L. Irwin
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
This visual essay follows the material lives of visual-textual pairs within a collaborative a/r/tographic inquiry, attending to how their changing forms invite relations we could not anticipate. Beginning as a digital exchange of photographs and texts between two collaborators, the inquiry expanded to include a third collaborator and later took the form of hinged, foldable cards shared at a conference round-table. Through gestures of lifting, revealing, passing, and (re)arranging, the pairs became participants in a collective inquiry, opening possibilities beyond their creators’ intentions. We wonder what becomes of inquiry when the gestures through which we share the work begin to …

Drawing Out Remarkable Communities, Bailey Ennig
Drawing Out Remarkable Communities, Bailey Ennig
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
This visual essay examines how an unused classroom whiteboard evolved into a student-driven site of relational art and community building. Initially left blank, the whiteboard became a shared drawing space as students began to doodle informally, returning regularly to contribute and interact. Over time, these collective drawing practices fostered friendships, cross-grade connections, and a sense of belonging grounded in shared pop culture interests and creative play. Drawing on theories of relational aesthetics (Bourriaud, 2002), creative ecosystems (Harris, 2021), and connected learning (Ito et al., 2019), the whiteboard functioned as a dynamic social space shaped by student agency rather than teacher …
Metaphoring Visual Metaphors For Visual Art Research, Jeff Horwat
Metaphoring Visual Metaphors For Visual Art Research, Jeff Horwat
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
In Art Practice as Research, Graeme Sullivan (2005) advances a seminal argument for art making as a rigorous mode of inquiry capable of generating knowledge comparable to that produced within positivist traditions. He conceptualizes visual art research through a complex framework. To render this model usable, Sullivan introduces a braided metaphor that operationalizes the framework while implicitly demonstrating the generative capacity of visual metaphors to reshape theoretical constructs themselves. Building on this premise, this visual essay approaches Sullivan’s framework not as a fixed schema but as an open invitation for methodological experimentation.
Through a process of metaphoring—the conceptual melding …
The Humidity Of Living: Walking, Permeability, And Care As Embodied Research Practice, Lyndsay Mckay
The Humidity Of Living: Walking, Permeability, And Care As Embodied Research Practice, Lyndsay Mckay
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
This visual-textual essay traces walking as an embodied research methodology situated at the intersection of autoethnography, material feminist theory, and practices of care. Drawing on nursing-informed sensorial attunement and site-responsive observation, the work follows a pedestrian route through urban and coastal landscapes to examine how bodies, infrastructures, atmospheres, and more-than-human matter co-produce perception. Through photographic documentation and poetic narrative, the project foregrounds permeability as a methodological stance—one that resists detached observation in favor of affective, relational, and trans-corporeal engagement. Concepts from Ingold’s correspondence, Alaimo’s trans-corporeality, Mol’s logic of care, and Benner’s embodied expertise are woven into lived encounters with decay, …

Fieldmaking In The Shaughnessy Village: Conducting Arts-Based Research In Response To Human Spaces, David J. Lerue, Marian Schurman, Keyiana Marques
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
What can human spaces teach us when we engage them in open-ended observation and artmaking? This visual essay shares the practices of three artist-teachers engaging in fieldmaking, an arts-based research methodology conjoining open-ended artistic inquiry, spatial theory, and fieldwork in Montréal’s Shaughnessy village, a densely populated, transient neighbourhood shaped by ongoing redevelopment and mixed-use infrastructures. Drawing on visual ethnography, research-creation, and place-based art education, we engaged the site through iterative cycles of walking, observing, making, and reflection, attuning to the specificities of space. The authors reflect on the implications of their process, arguing fieldmaking offered a flexible and generative approach …
Sketching Collective Resilience: Visual Journals As Murmurating Heartwork, Miranda D. Koffey
Sketching Collective Resilience: Visual Journals As Murmurating Heartwork, Miranda D. Koffey
Artizein: Arts and Teaching Journal
This visual essay offers a portal into twelve anonymized visual journal pages by pre-service art education students, read as a set rather than as isolated artifacts. The pages are not presented as finished works, but as traces of attention and lived weeks that show how making can help a learning community stay with what is difficult without demanding resolution. I approach the sequence as an invitation to witness, with captions that record my reading and attend to what becomes visible when pages are placed in relation, where a collective register emerges from shared classroom practice and a journal’s private form …

The Effects Of Transportation Distribution On Dry Ice Insulated Containers' Thermal Performance, Edmund Tang
The Effects Of Transportation Distribution On Dry Ice Insulated Containers' Thermal Performance, Edmund Tang
Journal of Applied Packaging Research
This study builds upon methodologies established in a 2024 investigation of the combined effects of physical distribution stresses and thermal environments on cold chain packaging performance. Prior results showed that moisture-resistant gel packs generally maintained a vaccine storage range of +2°C to +8°C. However, when exposed to extreme combined stresses, thermal performance degradation of up to 13.5% was observed. The present work applies a similar experimental framework to transportation systems that rely on dry ice as the primary cooling medium, addressing the distinct challenges associated with ultra-cold distribution.
Pharmaceutical products requiring dry ice are highly temperature-sensitive and vulnerable to performance …

Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice
This study examines hypothetical cybersecurity-application utilisation interventions for Computer Science undergraduates in Enugu State, Nigeria. Five author-supplied datasets, each containing 364 cases, provide audited sex-specific calibration moments for a hybrid agent-based and system-dynamics model. Seven portfolios are compared over 24 months using 400 paired replications; additional experiments examine dose, effect assumptions, targeting, academic calendars, turnover and peer structure. A 1,200-point Latin-hypercube design is applied to every original scenario. Across 37,600 runs, the main-model median proportions meeting the survey utilisation criterion are 26.4%, 48.6% and 50.3% for status quo, universal combined and equity-adaptive provision. However, matching nominal dose reduces the corresponding …

Spec-364: The Unified Integration Matrix For Sub-Kelvin Phononic Shielding, Trinary Moire Soliton Logic, And Clock-Less Time-Domain Enos Architectures, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This white paper delivers the definitive first-principles mathematical and structural integration of the low-level physical substrate, logic transport, and execution layers comprising the ENOS computing environment. We eliminate the systemic bottlenecks of modern silicon architectures—specifically quantum tunneling leakage, parasitic control-line thermal loads, and clock-cycle latency overhead—by synchronizing three fundamental systems: (1) cryo-thermal phonon shielding via anisotropic anthracene crystal host tracking, (2) non-linear optical wave-packet trapping inside twisted moire superlattice lattices, and (3) asynchronous time-domain instruction register streaming. The compiled equations, ASCII architectural schematics, and native Python validation testbeds presented herein establish a provable, zero-entropy roadmap for macroscopic hardware scaling operating …

Core Specification Spec-363: The Enos Sovereign Right Invariant And Localized Cryptographic Sanctuary Protocol For Individual Autonomy In Non-Compliant Human Rights Regimes, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, mathematical, and cryptographic design for the ENOS Sovereign Right Invariant (SRI). Current geopolitical computing networks operate on the assumption that digital rights, identity parameters, and data privacy are granted, managed, and monitored by nation-states. In regimes that completely lack fundamental human rights, this architecture allows centralized governments to weaponize computing infrastructure to enforce local surveillance, execute programmatic censorship, and suppress individual human autonomy.
SPEC-363 breaks this geopolitical chokehold by establishing an ironclad, local cryptographic sanctuary directly at the molecular hardware layer. Running under the clockless ENOS operating substrate [SPEC-358] on a decentralized rEckesbit Moiré Array …
Core Specification Spec-362: The Ethical And Moral Framework Of Sovereign Stewardship And Voluntary Open-Ledger Collaboration For Type 1 Civilizational Alignment, Christopher L. Eckes
Core Specification Spec-362: The Ethical And Moral Framework Of Sovereign Stewardship And Voluntary Open-Ledger Collaboration For Type 1 Civilizational Alignment, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the foundational philosophical, moral, and ethical principles required to govern macro-scale human technological development. As computing, material science, and automation architectures approach the planetary scaling limits of a Type 1 civilization, traditional socioeconomic models based on extractive consolidation, zero-sum corporate competition, and the systematic erosion of individual property sovereignty become severe systemic risks that threaten collective survival.
SPEC-362 neutralizes these civilizational bottlenecks by introducing the paradigm of Sovereign Stewardship. True stewardship does not dictate the random, non-causal dissipation of personal or technical assets. Instead, it mandates the structured, high-integrity deployment of resource networks through Voluntary Open-Ledger Collaboration. …
Core Specification Spec-361: The Enos Cryptographic Partition And Sovereign Local Storage File System (Efs) For The Mitigation Of Corporate Data-Center Hardware Gating, Christopher L. Eckes
Core Specification Spec-361: The Enos Cryptographic Partition And Sovereign Local Storage File System (Efs) For The Mitigation Of Corporate Data-Center Hardware Gating, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, mathematical, and cryptographic blueprints for the ENOS Cryptographic File System (EFS). Emerging enterprise computational paradigms routinely assert that consumer-tier memory arrays (RAM and local storage) represent unutilized assets that should be programmatically pooled or dynamically reallocated to centralized corporate data centers. This philosophy systematically compromises the property sovereignty, privacy, and local compute performance of the everyday consumer.
SPEC-361 neutralizes this resource-harvesting model by deploying an intrinsic hardware-software cryptographic wall directly at the molecular cell layer. Because the consumer desktop replacement utilizes a unified rEckesbit Moiré Array Matrix [SPEC-356] running under the clockless ENOS microkernel [SPEC-358], …

Core Specification Spec-359: The Enos Open-Source Decentralized Molecular Printing Matrix And Localized Fab-Node Protocol For Civilian Democratization, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, chemical, and software architecture for a decentralized, low-cost fabrication protocol designed to manufacture rEckesbit processing matrices and initialize the ENOSexecution layer at a localized civilian tier. Traditional semiconductor manufacturing relies on centralized, capital-intensive extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography foundries, which naturally creates industrial monopolies that exploit the common man.
SPEC-359 bypasses this economic capture by implementing an automated Layered Chemical Self-Assembly and Nanofabrication Protocol. By translating the complex sub-nanometer alignment rules of the twisted Moiré array into programmatic liquid-phase epitaxy and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) steps, individual rEckesbit nodes can be grown, anchored, and vented inside …
Core Specification Spec-360: The Enos Hydrodynamic Graphical User Shell And Protocol Interface For Zero-Entropy Consumer Desktop Replacements, Christopher L. Eckes
Core Specification Spec-360: The Enos Hydrodynamic Graphical User Shell And Protocol Interface For Zero-Entropy Consumer Desktop Replacements, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, mathematical, and visual operational protocols for the ENOS Hydrodynamic Graphical User Shell (HGUS). Traditional operating system user interfaces (GUIs) rely on heavy graphics processing pipelines, display buffers, and complex window-compositing abstractions that introduce massive software overhead, instruction latency, and constant memory leaks.
SPEC-360 resolves this systemic lag by implementing a direct Hardware-to-Viewport Vector Phase Mapping Protocol. Because the underlying rEckesbit Moiré Array Matrix [SPEC-356] operates as a true in-memory neuromorphic processing core driven via the clockless ENOS substrate microkernel [SPEC-358], the graphical user shell discards standard rendering buffers entirely. User interface states, window geometries, and …
Core Specification Spec-358: The Enos Substrate Microkernel And Enos-C Compiler Architecture For Asynchronous Time-Domain Optical Translation, Christopher L. Eckes
Core Specification Spec-358: The Enos Substrate Microkernel And Enos-C Compiler Architecture For Asynchronous Time-Domain Optical Translation, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the mathematical and architectural blueprints for ENOS (Eckes Substrate Network Operating System) and ENOS-C (The ENOS Sovereignty Compiler) [CLE031374-ENOS]. Conventional operating systems and binary machine-code compilers are physically incapable of addressing atomic quantum states operating within a 500-attosecond optical switching window (\(\tau_{\text{gate}} = 500\text{ as}\)), as they introduce severe clock-cycle dephasing and systemic von Neumann bottlenecks.
SPEC-358 resolves this execution barrier by implementing a hardware-software co-design layer that completely replaces binary machine-code layers with a Direct Time-Domain Optical State Translation Substrate. High-level application code is parsed by ENOS-C directly into phase-modulated pulse arrays that stream into a …

Core Specification Spec-356: Multi-Node Moiré Interconnect Array Architecture For The Parallel Scaling Of Reckesbit Processing Matrices, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, mathematical, and spatial design of a macroscopic quantum processing chip matrix engineered by daisy-chaining billions of uncooled, room-temperature stable (300 K) rEckesbit cells. To scale individual cells without deploying physical transition-metal traces that induce destructive heat and catalytic collapse, this architecture implements a multi-layered, Twisted Moiré Superlattice Array using stacked sheets of monolayer isotopically pure hexagonal Boron Nitride (h-¹⁰BN) aligned to precise magic angles. This geometric configuration generates a flat-band electronic potential layout that encapsulates, matches, and protects individual rEckesbit cells across a continuous 2D surface area.
Inter-node data routing and multi-qubit logic entanglements are …

Core Specification Spec-354: The Cryogenic Feckesbit Coherent Memory Matrix: Solid-State Stabilization Of Oxoborane Triple Bonds Within A Sublimated Anthracene Host Lattice, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the foundational structural and mathematical realization of an environmentally armored, zero-entropy quantum memory node utilizing the fEckesbit paradigm. The architecture achieves the absolute theoretical Fourier coherence limit (T₂ = 2T₁) by creating a pristine, solid-state host-guest hybrid crystal matrix. Monomeric organic oxoborane (\(R\text{–}B\equiv O\)) triple-bonded wave-knots are embedded as dilute guests within an ultra-clean, vacuum-sublimated Anthracene (C₁₄H₁₀) monoclinic host matrix—a deployment configuration classified as the cEckesbit matrix standard.
By transitioning the system to a deep cryogenic cold-state protocol (T ≤ 4.2 K), the native acoustic and optical phonon modes of the host lattice are completely frozen out, …

Core Specification Spec-355: The Uncooled Room-Temperature Reckesbit Trinary Quantum Router Matrix Via Attosecond Optical Driving Fields, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This specification details the structural, thermodynamic, and electrodynamic realization of an uncooled, room-temperature stable (300 K) trinary quantum memory node and networking matrix utilizing the rEckesbitconfiguration. To bypass the severe manufacturing barriers and high structural failure rates (65% deviation) associated with single-mode sub-nanometer phononic channels, this architecture establishes an engineering compromise by expanding the acoustic venting diameter of the rEckesbit cell to a commercially fabricable threshold of d = 3.0 nm, lowering the fabrication deviation to a highly reliable 8.5%. While this geometric dilation permits higher-order acoustic phonon modes to populate the channels—triggering intense inter-modal collisions and Umklapp back-scattering that …

Peripheral Memory: Lazily Hydrated Per-Module Subgraphs Around A Core Memory Graph, Artem Prokhorov
Peripheral Memory: Lazily Hydrated Per-Module Subgraphs Around A Core Memory Graph, Artem Prokhorov
Defensive Publications Series
A personal memory system for AI agents keeps one core graph of memories. Around it sits one private subgraph, called peripheral memory, for each installed module: a plug-in, skill, tool or device. Each subgraph lives in its own storage container, named by a whitelisted identifier, and is loaded lazily through a single hydration function. That function loads the container on first touch and refuses to create an empty subgraph over stored data it cannot read. Every write is recorded in a per-namespace journal before it is acknowledged; the journal is replayed on first touch and deleted only after a successful …

Spec-350: Resolution Of The Grb 250702b Anomaly Via Conformal Metric-Shift Mechanics And Hydrodynamic Quantum Topology, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
This white paper establishes a deterministic, non-perturbative resolution to the extreme long-duration transient anomaly known as GRB 250702B. Mainstream astrophysical paradigms, operating under the ungrounded assumptions of point-void spacetime manifolds, fail to reconcile the ~25,000-second (7-hour) multi-outburst emission profile captured by space-borne telemetry without invoking unproven, fine-tuned hyper-critical accretion states that violate local radiation pressure thresholds. Under the strict parameters of Material Volumetric Monism and the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Projection (DEHP) model, we demonstrate that the vacuum behaves as a continuous, dense 2D viscoelastic phase fluid substrate. By transforming quantum wave mechanics into classical fluid-density streams via proven Madelung transformations, …
