Oral Health Equivalent To Body Health, Ahmed Jameel Obayes, Abeer Mohammed Ali Al-Garawyi
Oral Health Equivalent To Body Health, Ahmed Jameel Obayes, Abeer Mohammed Ali Al-Garawyi
Muthanna Medical Journal
Oral health comprises the palate, mouth and throat lining, tongue, lips, salivary glands, chewing muscles, nerves, and upper and lower jaw bones. Chronic mouth infections were related to ``diabetes, heart and lung disease, and stroke'' in a recent research. Our oral health influences our overall health. Understanding that tooth loss is usually caused by illness or injury rather than age is a crucial first step in preventing ``dental caries and periodontal disease''. This overview of evidence connects poor oral health to systemic disorders. A number of studies have shown a relationship between dental and general health, indicating ``poor oral health'' …

Organic Cherry Pest Management, Marion Murray, Ann Mull
All Current Publications
Tart cherry (Prunus cerasus) and sweet cherry (P. avium) are important commercial crops and popular backyard trees. Tart cherries are commonly processed into dried or canned products, while sweet cherries are generally eaten fresh. Organic cherry production in the Intermountain West can be challenging because of pests such as western cherry fruit fly and arid growing conditions. However, with careful planning and appropriate management practices, it is possible to produce a good crop using organic pest management strategies. This fact sheet outlines general, pest, and disease management options.

Scheduling The Charging Of Battery-Electric Vehicles Under Heterogeneous Scheduling Constraints, Justin Whitaker, Greg Droge, Mario Harper
Scheduling The Charging Of Battery-Electric Vehicles Under Heterogeneous Scheduling Constraints, Justin Whitaker, Greg Droge, Mario Harper
Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Research
Adopting battery electric vehicles (EVs) for vehicle fleets requires scheduling charging alongside day-to-day operations. This problem is complicated by complex utility cost structures, limited battery capacity, and competition for shared charging resources. Existing methods that simultaneously schedule routes and charging neither address the full cost structure nor employ high-fidelity charging models, and no prior work analyzes fleets containing vehicles with heterogeneous routing constraints. This work addresses these gaps by combining a state-of-the-art flexible-schedule formulation with time-of-use (TOU) demand costs and a non-linear, variable-rate charging model as drawn from additional state-of-the-art works. The proposed method is validated against two state-of-the-art methods, …
