Global changes in gene expression are orchestrated by an array of transcription factors regulated by both extracellular and intracellular signals. The mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a protein kinase that ubiquitously mediates signaling networks across every cell type, in two active complexes, mTORC1 and mTORC2. By phosphorylating its downstream targets, these classically cytosolic complexes regulate protein homeostasis, metabolism, cell growth, proliferation and survival. In recent years, smart healthcare systems (SHS) spurred by the Internet of things have revolutionized how people manage their health. Despite their numerous benefits, SHS still face many challenges worldwide, including limited user motivation. This study builds on the valence-instrumentality-expectancy theory to examine the motivational factors influencing the use of SHS, while also considering the moderating role of social support. We conducted two studies— one in the United States and the other in Qatar—to assess how well the proposed model applies across different cultural contexts. Extending prior work on present others, individuals who are not physically present in writing center sessions—such as advisors, colleagues, and peers—but who directly or indirectly impact what happens during consultations (Kranek & Carvajal Regidor, 2021), we argue that attending to present others is one way to more holistically support multilingual graduate writers. This study aimed to analyze the use of Quizizz Paper Mode as an evaluation medium in mathematics learning. A quantitative descriptive method was used with 28 students as participants. The research instruments included evaluation questions, questionnaires, and structured interviews. The findings showed that Quizizz Paper Mode was effective for evaluating mathematics learning, with an average student score of 78.5 and most scores above 70. Students’ perceptions were highly positive: 80% considered the method easy to use, 85% stated that the questions were clear, and 70% felt more motivated.
