This study examined the implementation of differentiated instruction at SMA Negeri 49 Jakarta, focusing on the identification of learning needs, the application of differentiation strategies, the challenges encountered, and the solutions adopted. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Lead teachers used cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments to group students according to their initial abilities and improve instructional effectiveness. Differentiation was implemented by modifying content, processes, products, and the learning environment. Forecasting Inland Waterway Container On Barge Volume: A Machine Learning Approach Using Economic Features, Fan Bu, Heather Nachtmann

This study presents a machine learning approach to predict Container-on-Barge (COB) volume in Inland Waterway Transportation (IWT) systems, focusing exclusively on using economic features as predictors. Five machine learning models were trained using European economic features to forecast COB volume, while historical COB volume was used solely for validation and hyperparameter tuning. Among these models, the convolutional neural network combined with long short-term memory (CNN-LSTM) exhibited superior performance, achieving a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 1.08% when forecasting eight consecutive quarters of COB volume in Europe. The results demonstrate the feasibility of accurately forecasting COB volume using economic features. …

Background Home-based ironing businesses in Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta, are part of the informal sector, vulnerable to health risks due to suboptimal working conditions. This study aims to identify, assess, and control health risks through a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) approach.

Methods Research methods include direct observation, interviews, environmental measurements, health screenings, and ergonomic surveys using the BRIEF (Baseline Risk Identification of Ergonomic Factor) instrument.

Conventional approaches are significantly computationally intensive and create limitations when the data-collecting modality alters. This study evaluates the effectiveness of deep learning models in extracting and classifying key vehicle attributes, such as license plates, models, and colors, through four AI-driven components for vehicle analysis. The YOLOv8m model was used for detecting the vehicle license plate and character recognition, achieving accuracy ranging from 95.10% to 99.24%. This study analyzes students’ problem-solving skills on Work and Energy using a quantitative descriptive design, profiling performance across five indicators without causal claims. Participants were 85 students from SMA Negeri 1 Barru, South Sulawesi (30 males, 55 females) who answered five essay items scored on useful description, physics approach, specific application, mathematical procedure, and logical progression. Overall means were 57.73 (females) and 60.73 (males); an independent t-test showed p = .333 > .05 with Cohen’s d = 0.22 (small), indicating no meaningful overall difference. Barycentric interpolation, which comes from Lagrange interpolation, is a useful method in numerical analysis. In this research paper, we explain how the barycentric interpolation formula is derived and discuss its features. We compare its stability and performance with the traditional Lagrange formula. First, we show how to get the barycentric formula from the Lagrange polynomial and present it as a rational function. We also provide an estimate of the error. This study explores how Filipino Generation Z college students in Metro Manila utilize dark humor as a coping mechanism for stress management, mental health resilience, and navigating social dynamics. Drawing on a descriptive phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews with nine students aged 21 to 23 years old revealed that dark humor operates as both an emotional outlet and a cultural expression rooted in Filipino values.
