The Nfl And The Digital Era: How Social Media Has Redefined The National Football League, Lexis Brattain
The Nfl And The Digital Era: How Social Media Has Redefined The National Football League, Lexis Brattain
Whittier Scholars Program
To summarize this senior project, you can look at it from two perspectives. One being- a sports fan interested in fan engagement, or someone more interested in social media marketing. This paper shows how both work together to improve one another just the same. As the NFL transitioned from traditional marketing to a dynamic, real-time digital strategy, social media emerged as a powerful tool to reach diverse audiences and foster deeper connections with fans. By leveraging platforms, the NFL has not only expanded its global digital footprint but also redefined its presence in the entertainment industry. This report analyzes the …

Physical Activity Curriculum And Marketing Strategy For Dale Vuelta To Empower Young Girls In Mexico., Reagan A. Dodson, Eunice M. Lee
SPARK Symposium Presentations
The World Health Organization (WHO) found that nearly one-third of the world’s adult population are physically inactive, not meeting the global recommendations of at least 150 minutes of necessary physical activity per week (WHO, 2024). Adolescent girls were less active than adolescent boys, with 85% in comparison to 78%. In Mexico, 88% of girls, ages 11-17, are physically inactive (WHO, 2022). In Mexico, the stigma around girls practicing sports remains strong; gender-based violence grows by the year, and girls are often bullied, questioned, or discouraged from participating in sports (B. Möller, personal communication, September 23, 2024). Dale Vuelta, a non-profit …

Liberty University Research Week
The research titled The Impact of the Presidential Inauguration on the Hospitality Industry: An Analysis of Economic Gains for the Industry examines how high-profile political event influences the hospitality sector, particularly in terms of revenue generation, occupancy rates, and service demand. The study hypothesizes that presidential inaugurations lead to significant economic benefits for hotels, restaurants, and related businesses due to increased tourism and large-scale event planning. The central research question explores: To what extent does the presidential inauguration drive economic gains within the hospitality industry? Existing literature suggests that major political and sporting events boost local economies, particularly in tourism …

Journal of Prison Education Research
A cognitive prerequisite for education and (re)entry into the labor market is the ability to concentrate for a long period. Conducted with 39 participants, the present study examines the effect of a six-week dance-like martial arts program on prisoners’ concentration ability in an open prison in Germany (n=15), and compares their concentration ability with a control group of prisoners (n=5), as well as a treatment (n=11) and control group (n=8) of university students. Concentration ability is assessed using the d2-R concentration and attention test before, after, and six weeks following the program. The program’s participants showed significant improvements compared to …

The Role Of Gender Equity In Olympic Success Using Panel Data, Anusha Khan
The Role Of Gender Equity In Olympic Success Using Panel Data, Anusha Khan
Honors Projects in Mathematics and Economics
This study investigates whether gender equity is one of the determinants of Olympic success at the country level. Using panel data with 766 observations from six Olympic years (2012–2022), it examines the relationship between gender equity and national medal counts. Three Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) models were estimated using total, men’s, and women’s medal counts as dependent variables. While the findings vary across models, results suggest that gender equity may be positively associated with Olympic performance, though its significance is limited when controlling for other social and economic variables.
