Assessing The Assessors: A Study Of Teachers' Assessment Knowledge For Dhh Students, David R. Meek, Ashley N. Greene, Holly V. Metcalf, Erich A. Tucker, Sonia B. Arora

JADARA

This descriptive study examines Teachers of the Deafs’ (TODs) self-reported assessment knowledge, classroom practices, and preparation experiences. Using a survey based on the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PKC) framework, we collected data from 89 certified TODs across the United States. Participants expressed concerns about the limited availability of appropriate assessments for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students and challenges in adapting existing assessment tools. The findings highlight a need for enhanced assessment training in teacher …

This study conducts a comprehensive benchmarking of natural language processing (NLP) and LLM techniques for automating the classification of risk items into a generic risk category. Twelve model configurations are evaluated, ranging from classical NLP pipelines …

The Amended Statute, Jesse M. Cross Sep 2025

The Amended Statute, Jesse M. Cross

University of Chicago Law Review

As a result, the amended statute has become the central democratic text of our age—a remarkable development for a type of document unknown at the Founding. Yet the amended statute has been relegated to an after-thought in legal theory. This is incredible neglect for an essential source of modern law—one that anchors innumerable rights in U.S. society.

This Article demonstrates that, instead, the amended statute belongs at the center of public …
