To offer a compelling critique of the present, critical theory needs an account of capitalism that foregrounds its interrelation with the ongoing legacies of colonialism, imperialism, and slavery. To serve as a resource for such an account, Marx’s critique of capitalism and his theory of history need to be disentangled. This analysis revisits the problems of universality, necessity, and progress in Marx’s work in order to show how Marx’s consistently dialectical and critical account of capitalist modernity can be emancipated from the historicist framework that undergirds it.

Since the late 1970s, postcolonial theorizing and decolonizing activisms have directed attention to a taken-for-granted Eurocentrism in Marx/ism. Since the early 2000s, the explosion in available texts, published in original languages and in English translation, has enabled these critiques to develop. Scholars of Marx and activists within Marxism have sometimes responded defensively with apologetics. In this article we analyze an exemplar of this dogmatic and moralizing genre, showing how it deploys three tropes that commonly structure intellectual biography and scholarly commentary. In modern network environments, the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks poses significant risks, particularly through Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing and Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks, which exploit vulnerabilities in local area networks. Existing tools often focus on detection or protection at the client side, leaving network-wide detection and response largely unaddressed. This paper presents a novel intrusion detection tool specifically designed to identify ARP spoofing and MITM attacks in real-time within local area networks. The Wnt signaling pathway, activated by mutations in APC and β-catenin genes, plays a crucial role in CRC development, leading to the activation of inflammatory pathways involving COX-2 and iNOS, as well as the continuous transcription of cell cycle-related genes promoting CRC pathogenesis. Let $C_n$ be the group of conjugating automorphisms. V. Bardakov defined a representation $\rho$ of $C_n$, which is an extension of Lawrence-Krammer-Bigelow representation of the braid group $B_n$. Bardakov proved that the representation $\rho$ is unfaithful for $n \geq 5$. The cases $n=3,4$ remain open. M. N. Nasser and M. N. Abdulrahim made attempts towards the faithfulness of $\rho$ in the case $n=3$. In this work, we prove that $\rho$ is unfaithful in the both cases $n=3$ and $n=4$.

Virtual credit cards, or VCCs, have become standard for some insurance companies to streamline and simplify payment processes between insurance companies and dental practitioners. However, rather than making things easier, VCCs have exacerbated already difficult financial challenges for all dentists. These added difficulties include transaction fees, delays in payment processing, and additional administrative burdens. The MDA placed the issue of virtual credit cards on its 2024 legislative priorities and began to take action.

A study was conducted to assess the use of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) by dentists in Virginia and the factors influencing its adoption. The survey revealed that recent dental school graduates and those with adequate training were more likely to use SDF. SDF is valued for its ability to arrest caries and provide a minimally invasive treatment option, especially for patients with behavioral issues or severe dental anxiety. However, its use is deterred by concerns over aesthetics and effectiveness. The study highlights the need for increased training and better reimbursement to encourage wider adoption of SDF among dentists in Virginia.
