Automated Regression Testing Framework For Large Language Models, Claudio Criscione, Sebastian Lekies
Automated Regression Testing Framework For Large Language Models, Claudio Criscione, Sebastian Lekies
Defensive Publications Series
This disclosure describes a system for automated regression testing of large language models (LLMs). LLMs can be trained or fine-tuned with safety-oriented data and similar techniques to prevent undesirable outputs. However, additional training and fine-tuning can result in an LLM regressing and producing undesirable outputs. These regressions can be difficult to detect and track given the fast pace of research and development in this field. This system provides automated infrastructure and techniques for testing new versions of LLMs for regression against stored tests. The system includes integrator modules that provide a uniform testing interface for various types of LLMs and …
Defined-Trust Transport Protocol For Limited Domains, Kathleen Nichols
Defined-Trust Transport Protocol For Limited Domains, Kathleen Nichols
Defensive Publications Series
The Defined-trust Transport (DeftT) is designed to provide secure, default-deny networking for closed communities with dynamic membership and a collection-based construct that is efficient on broadcast media. Such closed communities, also known as limited domains [LDCCR], are frequently used in Operational Technology (OT) networking, in particular , in Critical Infrastructure uses. DeftT is designed to express and enforce application- and deployment-specific integrity, authentication, access control and behavior constraints directly in its protocol modules. It enables secure and completely self-contained (e.g., no external identity servers or certificate authorities) overlay networks where credentialed members can join and leave at any time. Security …
Developing A Trauma-Informed Family-Centered Care Toolkit For Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurses, Sonja A. Alli-Casella
Developing A Trauma-Informed Family-Centered Care Toolkit For Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurses, Sonja A. Alli-Casella
DNP Qualifying Manuscripts
Background: The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) may be a stressful, traumatizing, or re-traumatizing experience for parents of critically ill newborns and infants.
Problem: NICU nurses and other healthcare providers may not realize their impact on parental stress responses as neonatal care providers may not have adequate training to support adults experiencing acute emotional distress.
Methods: Strong evidence supports using family-centered care (FCC) in the NICU to promote bonding and parental involvement in caring for their infants. This manuscript aims to review current research and literature on trauma-informed care training and its impact on nurse confidence in managing dysregulated adults, …

Research & Publications
This study analyzed the transportation issues at the University of Bahrain Sakhir campus, where a bus system with an unorganized and fixed number of buses allocated each semester was in place. Data was collected through a survey, onsite observations, and student schedules to estimate the number of buses needed. The study was limited to students who require to move between buildings for academic purposes and not those who choose to ride buses for other reasons. An algorithm was designed to calculate the optimal number of buses for each time slot, and for each day. This solution could improve transportation efficiency, …

As sustainability becomes a critical factor in corporate strategy and consumer decision-making, the rise of greenwashing—where companies exaggerate or falsify environmental claims—poses a significant challenge. This article delves into the legal landscape of greenwashing in the United States and the European Union. It considers regulations specifically tailored to combating greenwashing and encouraging sustainability in those regions. Genuine sustainability practices that companies can engage in are identified and recommended. These include embracing ESG reporting, truth in advertising, transparency, certification and compliance, consistency, and accountability.
An Examination Of The Impact Of A Dishonorable Discharge Upon Second Amendment Rights., Heidi Timmerman
An Examination Of The Impact Of A Dishonorable Discharge Upon Second Amendment Rights., Heidi Timmerman
Lincoln Memorial University Law Review Archive
I participated in multiple court-martials and administrative discharges during my time of active-duty military service, primarily representing the servicemember’s command. Twenty years later, a federal criminal law course in law school drew my attention to specific consequences of military discharges. This article explores U.S. discharge policies, practices, consequences of discharge types, and the possible recourse paths. This examination started with research on discharge impacts on one’s Second Amendment right to bear arms; however, an array of discharge impacts emerged. While the U.S. Code provides discharge guidelines, each branch of the U.S. military is given a wide berth in application of the …

Adolescent Dieting And Eating Disorders: Considerations For Counselors, Josephine Sticha
Adolescent Dieting And Eating Disorders: Considerations For Counselors, Josephine Sticha
Counselor Education Capstones
A crucial time for an individual’s development is during adolescence. During this developmental stage, the media, social influences, and cultural pressures contribute to a teenager’s body dissatisfaction and disordered eating habits. Nearly 22% of adolescents engage in unhealthy weight-loss behaviors such as skipping meals, fad diets, excessive exercise, and dangerous purging practices due to experiencing weight and body dissatisfaction (Whyte & Findlay, 2004). Other factors such as low self-esteem, peer pressure, and the desire for increased social status have been known to exacerbate these behaviors. Dieting practices intensify these risks and increase the likelihood of developing nutritional deficiencies and eating …

Essays In Economic Theory, Kohei Yamagata
Arts & Sciences Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This dissertation consists of three theoretical analyses. In the first chapter "Who Takes Responsibility and Preventive Action? Centralized vs. Decentralized Risk Management in an Organization with Heterogeneous Agents," we investigate the optimal allocation of risk management responsibilities in organizations with multiple agents possessing heterogeneous preventive action costs. Extending the principal-agent framework to a multi-agent context, we analyze how a manager and agents choose preventive efforts to mitigate risks. Two scenarios are considered: (1) centralized risk management, where the manager bears all expected damages, and (2) decentralized risk management, where agents bear their own damages. Our findings show that centralized risk …

Expungement: Access To Justice Or Just More Bureaucracy? A Comparison Among The States, Meganne Lee-Rogers
Lincoln Memorial University Law Review Archive
A large percentage of the population have some sort of criminal record, whether felony or misdemeanor; however, only a small portion of Americans are aware that expungement of that record is an option. Expungement is the process of erasing a person’s criminal record from public records, such as that it is like the person was never arrested or convicted. However, there are universal limitations on this process, for example not all crimes are eligible for expungement. This Note discusses the vast array of expungement laws across the United States and the importance of these laws in providing convicted persons with …

From Beating Students Down To Building Students Up: Eradicating The School-To-Prison Pipeline, Aubrian Sanders
From Beating Students Down To Building Students Up: Eradicating The School-To-Prison Pipeline, Aubrian Sanders
Lincoln Memorial University Law Review Archive
This note examines the school-to-prison pipeline, its impact on minority children, and strategies for its elimination. The school-to-prison pipeline systematically removes minority children from the classroom. This process facilitates their entry into the justice system through school punishments, the use of school resource officers, and the harsh conditions of the juvenile justice system which has devastating effects on the minority youths in America. To correct this problem, action must be taken at every step along the pipeline to completely alter the behavior that destines the minority youth of America to incarceration. These key steps include reforming school discipline, removing school …
Begin With Lemon, Fill To The Bri With Bremerton, Stir In Trinity Lutheran, Add A Pinch Of Espinoza, And Combine Carson: A Recipe For Educational Disaster, Brittany Lezu
Lincoln Memorial University Law Review Archive
The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment has steadily been eroded over the past ten years by the Supreme Court, but it all began with the infamous Lemon test in 1971. In _Lemon v. Kurtzman_, the Court established the Lemon test to create a “clearer” standard to determine if a government policy or action directly or indirectly advanced or accommodated religion in compliance with the Establishment Clause. Over time, the Lemon test has slowly be whittled away, leaving the opportunity for revision in _Kennedy v. Bremerton_. The Court in Bremerton interpreted the clause “by reference to historical practices and understandings.” …

Biglaw's Campus Reach, Raj Ashar
Lincoln Memorial University Law Review Archive
At many top-ranked law schools, BigLaw firms are the top destination for graduating students. But their presence in the lives of law students starts well before graduation. This note documents the symbiotic relationship between law firms and top law schools, identifying ways in which BigLaw firms embed themselves in these institutions. It then attempts to explain the reason for this strong connection and identifies some potential risks of allowing firms regular access to law students. Finally, it lays out proposals for reform including the regulation of firm sponsorships and changing the recruiting process.

Study Of The Brain Anatomy Of Three Extinct Marsupials: Thylacinus Cynocephalus, Thylacoleo Carnifex, And Silvabestius Johnnilandi, Francisco Garcia
Honors Program Theses and Research Projects
Marsupials are pouched mammals that today are mainly found in Australasia and South America. Marsupials have proven to be quite intriguing to evolutionary biologists who note how some marsupials resemble placentals in anatomy due to convergent evolution, with both marsupials and placentals filling similar niches in their respective environments. As of today, studies interested in marsupial brain evolution have published descriptions of cranial endocasts for several species of marsupials, with the number of descriptions seeing a massive boost over the last 20 years with the arrival of CT imaging technology. However, no comprehensive study of brain evolution in marsupials has …

Barriers To Prompting And Shaping Techniques In Behavior Intervention For People With Autism, Olumuyiwa O. Fagbohun
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
This study investigated the barriers to effective prompting and shaping techniques in behavioral interventions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Using a generic qualitative design grounded in Skinner’s behaviorism theory as a theoretical framework, the study was focused on the experiences of 10 behavioral intervention specialists with at least 5 years of experience implementing these techniques. Data from one-on-one interviews with 10 participants were analyzed using thematic analysis to reveal three key issues: insufficient integration of contingent reinforcement, neglect of environmental settings, and underutilization of comprehensive behavioral strategies. These findings highlight the need for treatment programs to adopt a …

Mindful Design For Adolescent Minds: Moving Away From Digital Hook Models To Mindful Innovation Models, Donald R. Hendriksen
Mindful Design For Adolescent Minds: Moving Away From Digital Hook Models To Mindful Innovation Models, Donald R. Hendriksen
Masters Theses
In the domain of digital technology, an ethical issue surfaces from the design of user interfaces and applications tailored for adolescent users. Techniques frequently incorporated into these targeted systems, such as continuous scrolling, rewards for uninterrupted use, and game-like features, are increasingly linked to addictive inclinations in adolescents. Central to this issue is the stimulation these apps provide for the dopamine system. Adolescents, being in a vital phase of psychological growth, are especially vulnerable to the dangerous consequences of such designs. These effects are extensive and include a perceptible drop in academic achievement, a weakening of relational skills, and an …
A Text-Linguistic Analysis Of Deliberative Discourse In Hebrew With Review Of The Lxx Translation, Timothy C. Lang
A Text-Linguistic Analysis Of Deliberative Discourse In Hebrew With Review Of The Lxx Translation, Timothy C. Lang
Masters Theses
This thesis intends to demonstrate that linguistics, specifically the text-linguistic (TL method), may be practically applied to biblical translation and interpretation. Consequently, one may use text-linguistics to discover the biblical author’s intended meaning expressed through the structure of the text. Foundationally, the work of Robert Longacre and Kenneth L. Pike is applied. Functionally, this thesis tests the process described in the dissertation of Ewell Ray Clendenon. While the word test is used, the test is not intended to validate or invalidate the TL method. Rather, the test is analogous to that of a mathematician whereby a proof test is applied …
