In this paper, the concepts of judicial activism and judicial restraint are discussed as the way the Constitutional Court (MK) tests laws against the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD 1945). Active judges can do new things to address legal vacuums or social change, but this can trigger criticism due to the potential for exceeding judicial authority. Background: The Female Leadership Academy for Medical Excellence, members of the World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine, conducted this systematic review, which explores gender disparities in burnout among emergency physicians (EP) using the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS). Burnout is a critical issue in healthcare, particularly in emergency medicine where high stress and demanding work environments prevail. The study examined the results of the civic writing project “Letter to the Next President of the Philippines,” where grades 9-10 students were asked to write a letter to the next president about social problems that they wanted their future leader to resolve and why. The increasing rate of cybervictimization has been documented in various countries, including Malaysia. However, there is a dearth of measurement tools with sound psychometric properties suitable for the Malaysian context. To address this methodological gap, the Malaysia Cybervictimization Scale for Adolescents (MyCVS-A) was developed based on qualitative inputs from adolescents in Malaysia. It was subsequently translated into Malay (MyCVS-A-M) and Chinese (MyCVS-A-C). Two studies were conducted to examine the psychometric properties of these two translated versions. This study examines the mechanisms through which short-term parental migration affects intergenerational educational persistence, using a sample of 40,922 Indian father-child pairs from the Indian Human Development Surveys. A flexible modeling approach was used that allows for heterogeneous effects of social origins and structural features of the Indian education system on different educational transitions of the child. Results show that parental migration increases intergenerational educational persistence. In particular, persistence increases for higher educational transitions when parental migration is motivated by economic distress or when the left-behind children are engaged in household responsibilities. The two main goals of this paper are to (a) examine how entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) affects decision- making among nascent entrepreneurs and (b) examine the moderating role of entrepreneurial personality. A 2x2 between- subjects online randomized experiment was carried out. A sample of 48 Bangkok-based business school students who functioned as the study’s nascent entrepreneurs’ representatives was used to collect data for two sessions. Multiple linear regression was used to assess the research hypotheses. We assessed the degree to which individuals retain cognitive abilities from adolescence through older adulthood, and whether more education associates with better retention in some more than others, after adjusting for adolescent cognitive ability. We also evaluated whether benefits associated with education differ for those with lower or higher cognitive scores in adolescence, or women or men. Data came from the Project Talent Aging Study, and included measures of abstract reasoning, mathematics, visualization in two dimensions, and recognition memory in 1960 and 2018 (n=2,032; age range 71 to 79). This article explores academic and industry perspectives on the use of dialect, slang, and historical language in screenwriting. It offers a chronological overview of major screenwriting manuals’ treatment of dialect and slang (or lack thereof) 1946-2020. It then presents survey data of 53 currently-practicing screenwriters’ views on working with dialect and historical language in scripts, as well as their sense of possible changes in the industry regarding attitudes towards diverse voice representation on the page. Methods: This one-year prospective consecutive study was conducted in a tertiary teaching hospital, documenting all thoracentesis procedures performed in the medical wards from July 2021 to June 2022.

This study examines the complex governance dynamics affecting Indonesian Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) [village-owned enterprises], focusing on political, social, economic, and cultural pressures. Using a qualitative multi-case approach, including focus group discussions with 65 participants from West Java and West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, the study identified significant challenges: political interference, limited community engagement, economic dependence on government funds, and cultural norms that constrain BUMDes operations.
