Psychological readiness is an important factor for returning to sport successfully following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. To date, no studies have determined the effect of the number of knee surgery to psychological readiness. The primary purpose of this investigation was to determine whether the number of knee surgeries impacts psychological readiness. The secondary purpose was to examine the relationship between the number of surgeries and knee function. The purpose of this case study was to report the effects of the MyoKinesthetic (MYK) System on the pain and function of a collegiate softball player previously diagnosed with chronic non-specific low back pain and foot pain. The patient had been experiencing bilateral foot pain since childhood and conservative treatment options had failed to resolve her pain long term. Additionally, the patient had been experiencing persistent back tightness and soreness. This study utilizes a phenomenological research design to explore the lived experiences of jeepney drivers amidst the ongoing government’s initiative to phase out and modernize traditional jeepneys in the Philippines. It focused on six jeepney drivers operating in the Tarlac public transportation system, selected based on specific inclusion criteria. The Theory of Change was used to delve deeper into the findings, revealing that the government's initiatives have challenged the stability of jeepney drivers’ livelihood during the modernization transition. Their lives were in jeopardy due to this abrupt transformation. It left them powerless to adapt to the changes or boycott. The …

In Philippine society, media, particularly romance films, shapes and reinforces audiences’ perspectives, perpetuating preconceived notions and stereotypical beliefs. However, there is a lack of textual analysis within Filipino films, especially regarding female representation in media. Hence, our study explores the portrayal of female main characters in romance films. Textual film analysis, grounded in Carl Jung’s Jungian archetypes and Jean Shinoda Bolen’s female archetypes in media, was implemented on the six Filipino highest-grossing romance films from 2014 until 2019. Lower extremity injuries are very common in collegiate soccer athletes and often lead to long-term rehabilitation programs and a decline in the athlete’s overall quality of life. Using single leg hop tests to identify “at-risk” athletes before the competitive season begins could allow medical staff to implement injury prevention programs that could help reduce the incidence of lower extremity injuries throughout the season. Social anxiety disorder (SAD) affects 1% to 13% of adolescents, often placing significant demands on their caregivers. Mothers frequently adapt their behaviors to accommodate their child’s anxiety, which may impact their well-being and the parent-child relationship. This qualitative study explored the lived experiences of mothers accommodating adolescents with SAD to understand better the emotional and relational toll of this caregiving role. The problem addressed is the limited understanding of how maternal accommodation affects mothers. Mental health practitioners, educators, and policymakers may benefit from this research by gaining insight into these families' challenges and informing family-centered interventions and support services. BackgroundPhysical activity referral schemes have been used extensively as one pathway to support behaviour change in people with long term conditions. Best practice guidance, across countries, recommend that schemes use behaviour change practices. The effectiveness of these schemes is inconsistent, yet, little is known about the implementation of specific approaches, or what influences practitioner’s delivery. This article identifies five key consumer segments based on digital technology-related behavior, attitudes toward technology (ATT), and cultural values, using cross-cultural data from the large-scale World Values Survey and national data from Pew Research data, and a combination of traditional clustering, latent class analysis, and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) methods. The segments— Moderate Tech Enthusiasts, Highly Religious Traditionalists, Tech-Savvy Cosmopolitans, Secular Emancipatives, and Conservative Technophobes— reveal varying degrees of technology adoption and cosmopolitanism across cultures. Among viral myocarditis, human metapneumovirus (hMPV) is a rare causative agent with associated cardiac complications. This report provides insight into the disease progression and sheds light on reported cases from the literature. We present the clinical courses of two patients, aged 68 and 58, who developed myocarditis secondary to hMPV infection. Despite the typical severity associated with viral myocarditis in older populations, both patients experienced significant improvement in their condition and ultimately survived. This report highlights the necessity of recognizing hMPV as a potential cause of myocarditis, particularly in older adults presenting with simultaneous respiratory and cardiac symptoms. This research aims to develop an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices model and index based on sustainable finance regulation from a Management Control System Four Levers of Control (MCS-LoC) perspective. The ESG index was developed by utilizing content analysis of information disclosure in annual and sustainability reports of ten non-financial industry sectors listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2022 (640 observations). Subsequently, the effect of the ESG Index on Investment Efficiency (IE) was tested with the moderating role of Interactive Control (INTR). Despite their significant presence in the fisheries workforce, women's roles are often less recognized compared to men's. This study investigated the participation of women in beach management units (BMUs) and fisheries activities in Lake Turkana, the world’s largest permanent desert Lake. Data were collected from 200 women respondents across eight purposively sampled BMUs, focusing on gender representation, leadership roles, participation in fisheries activities, factors influencing participation, and strategies for promoting gender equity. Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted to provide an in-depth understanding of women's involvement in fisheries activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the lecture materials provided in medical schools through a diversity lens. Skin pathologies manifest distinctively on various shades of skin and physicians must be equipped with the proper knowledge to identify and diagnose these conditions accurately and promptly. For most medical students, images in prominent textbooks and lecture slides are their first encounter with disease presentations. Therefore, it is important to analyze the diversity of skin tones in the content that is being delivered. Ethnic differences may substantially influence the morphological characteristics of the ascending aorta, with potential implications for clinical assessment and management of aortic dilatation. This systematic review evaluated the impact of ethnicity on ascending aorta diameter and dilatation rates, highlighting the need for more tailored, ethnicity-specific care in cardiovascular practice. We identified 11 studies that measured ascending aorta dimensions using transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), computed tomography (CT), or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Most investigations focused on Asian, Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic populations. Data extraction revealed notable variability in baseline aortic diameters across ethnic groups.
