Beauty is often perceived as a neutral concept; however, perceptions of beauty vary across different societies. In Indonesia, for instance, beauty is frequently associated with having fair skin and a slim physique. Consequently, women who do not meet these criteria are often deemed unattractive. Furthermore, beauty is commonly linked to a woman's success. This issue is critically examined in the 2019 film in Ernest Prakasa, Imperfect: Karier, Cinta & Timbangan, which centers on the life of a young woman named Rara, who is depicted as dark-skinned and slightly overweight. The societal pressures she faces to conform to prevailing beauty …

Jurnal Ekonomi Kesehatan Indonesia
The implementation of Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (JKN) poses new challenges for hospitals as service providers. Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) Kesehatan, the program’s administrator, now routinely conducts post-claim verifications and audits after claims have been paid. This often results in claim adjustments or even full reversals of previously reimbursed amounts. This case study examines JKN claim management at a Type D General Hospital in 2022, focusing on pending claims, verification, and post-claim audits, using a systems theory framework. Key issues in pending claims include incomplete medical records (29%), insufficient supporting documents (24%), and coding errors (21%). Post-claim problems primarily …

This article investigates the relationship between foot angle and jump stability, focusing on minimizing injury risk. Here are the key points: Importance: Understanding foot angle is crucial for improving jump stability, athletic performance, and reducing jump-related injuries like ankle sprains. Ideal Foot Angle: Research suggests a forward foot angle of around 15 degrees might be ideal for many people during jumps. This angle distributes forces evenly across the foot, lowers the center of gravity, and provides more surface area for pushing off the ground. Factors Affecting Ideal Angle: The optimal angle can vary depending on the type of jump (vertical …

The plants of the genus Ferula L. have long been recognized for their significant roles in traditional medicine in the Middle East and Asia, a heritage that we deeply respect and appreciate. A diverse array of biologically active compounds, particularly concentrated in the roots of various Ferula species, accounts for their broad range of medicinal properties and applications in folk medicine. Many species within this genus are noted for their high content of phenolic compounds, which exhibit potent antioxidant activity and demonstrate substantial antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Mitigating The Risk Of Qtc Prolongation When Using Haloperidol For Acute Treatment Of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome In Adolescents And Young Adults, Sandra Merino, Lissette Tordera, Allison Jun, Sun Yang
Pharmacy Faculty Articles and Research
Background/Objectives: Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS), associated with long-term cannabinoid use, has been increasingly observed in emergency room visits as more states in the U.S. have legislatively permitted medical and recreational marijuana use. The acute management of CHS primarily focuses on antiemetic treatment and supportive care. However, both the condition itself and the antiemetic drugs, such as haloperidol, may cause QTc prolongation. Methods: We reported two adolescent cases admitted to the emergency department for acute antiemesis management of CHS who received haloperidol treatment. A literature review was performed through October 2024 for previously published cases of QTc prolongation and/or …

The Effect Of Cardio Exercises On Cholesterol, Low-Density Lipoproteins (Ldl), And Body Mass Index In Women Aged 30–35 Years, Shahad Haitham Sheet, Israa Fouad Saleh
Modern Sport
The importance of the research was achieved through practicing cardio exercises, which work to modify cholesterol levels and low-density lipids in the body, in addition to reducing the body mass index in the research sample, represented by women aged 30-35 years. The research problem lies in the fact that high levels of cholesterol and low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in the blood are among the most prominent risk factors leading to cardiovascular diseases. This health problem is especially important for women, as they face hormonal changes associated with aging and menopause, which affect blood fat levels and increase the likelihood of fatty …

Analysis Of Explosive Power In The Paddle Stroke Of Elite Rowing Athletes In Iraq, Ayad Abdul-Latif Ali
Modern Sport
The advancement of modern assistive technologies, including devices and tools, has made it essential to utilize scientific and technological progress for motion analysis and to assess the performance level of skills and movements. Among these is the paddle stroke, which relies on a two-part performance: one part above the water as an unsubmerged section, and the other part below or in contact with the water as a submerged section. This analysis depends on the body position and performance of the athlete (the rower) using the tool (the paddle). The importance of this study lies in measuring and analyzing variables such …
