Baghdad Science Journal

Deep oxidative desulfurization is a crucial topic for environmental catalysis research for producing a low-sulfur diesel. One of the effective catalysts that have been used recently for oxidative desulfurization of the refractory sulfur compound from model diesel is Keggin-type polyoxometalate. In this work, a Keggin-type catalyst TBAPW11O39, model diesel, Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and 1- methy l-3-octyl imidazolium hexafluorophosphate (OMIM(PF6)) were tested under different reaction conditions. The sulfur compound dibenzothiophene (DBT) in model diesel was captured in ionic liquid (IL) and then oxidized to produce related sulfones with H2O2 as an oxidant using TBAPW11O39, in a batch reactor. The impacts of …

On Pre Open Regular Spaces, Afraa R. Sadek

Baghdad Science Journal

In this paper, certain types of regularity of topological spaces have been highlighted, which fall within the study of generalizations of separation axioms. One of the important axioms of separation is what is called regularity, and the spaces that have this property are not few, and the most important of these spaces are Euclidean spaces. Therefore, limiting this important concept to topology is within a narrow framework, which necessitates the use of generalized open sets to obtain more good characteristics and preserve the properties achieved in general topology. Perhaps the reader will realize through the research that our generalization preserved …

On Some Separation Axioms In Soft Lattice Topological Spaces, Sandhya S. Pai, Baiju T

Baghdad Science Journal

In the realm of topology, various constraints are frequently imposed on the types of topological spaces under examination and these constraints are defined by what are known as separation axioms. Also, the separation axioms can be seen as additional conditions that may be incorporated into the definition of topological spaces. Separation axioms serve various purposes in lattice theory. They provide tools for classifying and comparing different lattices, revealing their structural and topological properties. While traditional separation axioms like T0, T1, T2, etc., still play a role, their interpretation and implications differ in the context of soft sets and lattice structures. …

The incredible progress of the microelectronics industry in the last several decades hasbeen primarily due to the progressive miniaturization and optimization of the MOSFET. However, the rate of this progress is becoming unsustainable by these means. Of several proposed replacements, one of the most popular ideas is to utilize electronic spin in logical processing. The discovery of Giant Magntoresistance (GMR) in layered thin film heterostructures and the subsequent development of Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) devices revolutionized magnetic field sensing, which allowed magnetic domains in hard drives to get much smaller. This enabled hard drives to get denser, but because current charge-based …

P2X receptors (P2X1-7) are non-selective cation channels involved in many physiological activities such as synaptic transmission, immunological modulation, and cardiovascular function. These receptors share a conserved mechanism to sense extracellular ATP. TNP-ATP is an ATP derivative acting as a nonselective competitive P2X antagonist. Understanding how it occupies the orthosteric site in the absence of agonism may help reveal the key allostery during P2X gating. However, TNP-ATP/P2X complexes (TNP-ATP/human P2X3 (hP2X3) and TNP-ATP/chicken P2X7 (ckP2X7)) with distinct conformations and different mechanisms of action have been proposed. Whether these represent species and subtype variations or experimental differences remains unclear. Here, we show …

Heavy Metals In Rural Soils: A Case Study In Jennings County, Indiana, Madeline Hill

All-Inclusive List of Electronic Theses and Dissertations

Heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, can be toxic if exposure levels are too high. People are often concerned about lead exposure from water or paint, but soil is another potential exposure avenue for many metals. While some heavy metals, including mercury and lead, are found in emissions from coal-burning power plants and from incinerators, many metals accumulate in soils from past uses (ex. lead paint, leaded gasoline, chemical spills, industrial emissions, and natural occurrences). It is important to have soil tested to check metal concentrations because consumption or inhalation of these metals can lead to permanent damage and …

Divlog: Log Parsing With Prompt Enhanced In-Context Learning, Junjielong Xu, Ruichun Yang, Yintong Huo, Chengyu Zhang, Pinjia He

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

Log parsing, which involves log template extraction from semistructured logs to produce structured logs, is the first and the most critical step in automated log analysis. However, current log parsers suffer from limited effectiveness for two reasons. First, traditional data-driven log parsers solely rely on heuristics or handcrafted features designed by domain experts, which may not consistently perform well on logs from diverse systems. Second, existing supervised log parsers require model tuning, which is often limited to fixed training samples and causes sub-optimal performance across the entire log source. To address this limitation, we propose DivLog, an effective log parsing …
