Enhancing the quality of education requires a reconstructed curriculum that includes 21st-century competencies. Citizenship education aims to cultivate intelligent and responsible citizens. One essential characteristic of a responsible citizen is their active engagement in civic duties, as demonstrated through their attitudes and behavior. This study examines the level of civic engagement among high school students in preserving local culture during the era of disruption. The research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach and collects data from high school students in Cianjur Regency, Indonesia, using a survey questionnaire. This study utilizes a qualitative approach to examine the customary practice of land pawning in Semoyo Village. This practice is based on traditional institutions passed down for generations. It involves the direct transfer of land without the need for a written agreement, witnesses, or village officials. The spirit of togetherness and trust in neighbors and relatives facilitate this practice. The borrower surrenders possession of the land to the lender, who can redeem the land within an agreed-upon time frame. The study aims to develop a Project-Based Learning (PBL) blended learning strategy to enhance the human literacy skills of students taking Citizenship Education in higher education. The research uses the Research & Development (R&D) method combined with the ASSURE model, which involves six stages: analyzing students, expressing goals, selecting methods, media, and materials, using media and materials, requiring student participation, and evaluating and revising. The study uses expert validation, questionnaires, interviews, and a pretest-posttest design to evaluate the effectiveness of the PBL-based blended learning approach. This research investigates the capacity of incorporating indigenous knowledge into the traditional craft of Batik Pekalongan to promote character education and facilitate learning. Batik Pekalongan, an Indonesian textile, is a cultural legacy extending beyond its conventional fabric use. UNESCO has officially designated it as an intangible cultural treasure. The study technique used is a qualitative literature review. Essentially, project-based learning, currently referred to as a method for citizenship education in higher education, is rooted in the concept of civic engagement, which is the most critical determinant of success in transitioning to adult citizenship. This research aims to compare the results of two learning approaches, namely the anti-radicalism value project model and the conventional model, in enhancing the commitment of young citizens. Through data analysis from two groups of classes, the experimental and control groups, we evaluated the outcomes of both learning models on the improvement of young citizens' commitment, including their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors towards the values and principles of Indonesia's constitutional democracy.
