Effects Of Preparation Method For Titania On Silica Support On Catalyst Stability For Methyl Oleate Epoxidation, Warinya Sukkaew
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Biomass is an outstanding raw material instead of fossil fuel because of its renewable and eco-friendly nature. In Southeast Asia in particular, there is an oversupply of palm oil. Converting palm oil into high-value products presents a promising solution. The major composition derived from palm oil is methyl oleate. Methyl oleate can be converted to epoxide product that is used in a broad application in the chemical industry through epoxidation. Ti-based catalyst is a promising candidate catalysts for epoxidation reactions. This work focuses on the epoxidation reaction of methyl oleate with hydrogen peroxide. For Ti-based catalysts, support is essential. The …

The Role Of Pedot-Encapsulated Mno2 For Performance Enhancement Of Zinc-Ion Battery Cathodes, Wichuda Silapasom
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Zinc-ion batteries are increasingly recognized as a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional lithium-ion battery technologies. Among the various cathode materials, manganese dioxide (MnO2), particularly the layered-type δ-MnO2, exhibits significant potential due to its advantageous structure for Zn2+ intercalation. However, the use of aqueous electrolytes in these systems poses challenges, including capacity fading after repeated charge/discharge cycles. Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), an electrically conductive polymer, is known for its properties that enhance Zn2+ ion mobility. In this study, PEDOT-encapsulated δ-MnO2 was synthesized via a hydrothermal method for application as a cathode material in zinc-ion batteries utilizing nonaqueous electrolytes. Advanced characterization techniques, notably …
Development Of A Vr-Based System For Detecting Strabismus In Patients With Refractive Errors, Salisa Buapong
Development Of A Vr-Based System For Detecting Strabismus In Patients With Refractive Errors, Salisa Buapong
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Strabismus is an ophthalmic condition affecting approximately 2% to 5% of the global population, with a pediatric prevalence rate of about 2% to 4%. If left uncorrected and untreated for an extended period, it can lead to impairment of binocular vision and eventual vision loss. Thus, early detection and correction of ocular deviations are crucial in mitigating these risks. However, primary clinical tests, such as the Alternate Prism Cover Test (APCT) and the Hirschberg Test (HT), have several limitations. These include reliance on operator skills and experience, prolonged examination time, and an unbalanced range of prism diopters. Furthermore, previous studies …

Novel Pricing Structure And Mechanism With Consideration Of Network Usage Charges For Peer-To-Peer Energy Trading In Distribution Systems Of Thailand, Surapad Larbwisuthisaroj
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
The rise of distributed energy resources has empowered consumers to become prosumers, generating their own electricity. This trend has led to the development of peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading. This dissertation focuses on two main areas: integrating network charges in P2P energy trading and determining the maximum P2P penetration levels on distribution systems while considering stakeholder benefits. Firstly, a framework for network usage charges (NUCs) and corresponding market clearing mechanisms are proposed. The NUCs comprise two key components: distribution NUCs (DNUCs) and operational NUCs (ONUCs). These charges are designed to recover energy-related and nonenergy-related costs incurred in the distribution system. DNUCs …
