Work engagement is a challenge for information technology leaders in the digital industry because employees with engagement concerns may exhibit decreased commitment and increased workplace incivility towards the organization, thereby impacting business profits. Grounded in the job demands-resource theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between human capital, relational capital, and work engagement initiatives in technology companies in the United States. AbstractNeurogenic bladder (NB) is common in patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, spinal bifida, and stroke. Many patients who have these diseases struggle to control their bladder. NB can be defined as the inability to completely empty the bladder. For managing the bladder, clinicians usually opt for using an indwelling urinary catheter for those patients. Indwelling urinary catheters are a source of infection and do not help the patient regain continence. Research findings showed that frequent toileting and monitoring with bladder scanning benefited patients with NB and helped patients restore continence. To address a knowledge gap, this new …

This case study examined the U.S. Army’s implementation of knowledge management (KM) as an integrating process within its command and control system. The research problem explored was the U.S. Army’s attempts to measure knowledge transfer using the KM Maturity Model (KM3) and KM Assessment Tool (KMAT). Researchers predicted that the United States would undergo a severe shortage of direct support professionals. This quantitative study used the Job Satisfaction Survey, Employee Empowerment Questionnaire, and Turnover Intention Scale to explore the relationship between employee empowerment and its effect on the intent to leave within the human health service industry nationwide. Herzberg's motivation theory provided the lens for the study. The study included 150 direct care staff who completed a self-administered online questionnaire. Linear regression analyses indicated that supervisor, contingent rewards, operating conditions, nature of work, and communication had the strongest negative correlation with turnover intention. Uganda’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face high business failure rates. Fifty percent of SMEs in Uganda fail during the first year of operations due to poor business performance stemming from the lack of innovative strategies and consistent policies for SMEs to guide their growth and development. Grounded in disruptive innovation theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple-case study was to explore the innovation strategies leaders of SMEs in Uganda use to improve business performance. At the selected behavioral health organization (BHO), leaders desire to improve patient safety and staff communication to provide quality mental health services. They need strategies to achieve these goals. The Baldrige Excellence Framework was used to identify the workforce challenges and practices that facility leaders can potentially use to improve performance to help achieve success, sustainability, and the mission of the BHO.
