Madura Island is one of the islands with a lot of tourism spread over four districts, such as natural, religious, and cultural tourism. And every year, various visitors visit various tourist sites in Madura, so an increase in the number of visitors has been found in multiple places. This is influenced in addition to the type of tourist attraction but also changes in tourist behavior in making decisions to visit tourist objects. Most of the researchers have applied the right decision-making with intelligence-based measurement. However, the accuracy obtained has not yet reached the optimal solution. Therefore, this study uses the …

Garbage is the residue of unused industrial production and household consumption. In Indonesia, waste is divided into 2 types, namely organic and inorganic waste. The two types of waste can be recycled in diverse ways, so they must be separated. So far, it is often difficult for the community to sort waste. This paper presents the process of recognizing and sorting waste automatically by utilizing Artificial Intelligence technology, especially Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The ANN architecture used in this study consists of 4 layers. The number of neurons in each layer consists of 3 neurons in the input layer, 4 …

Soybeans are an essential agricultural product that is one of the primary food sources in Indonesia, such as tempeh, tofu, soy milk, soy sauce, and other preparations. However, production yields, harvested land area, and soybean productivity in each district or city in Central Java Province vary widely. Differences in soybean productivity in each area are due to production factors such as area, use of fertilizers, seeds, and labor. This study tries to provide recommendations for soybean harvesting based on the distance and productivity of an area using K-means clustering and the simple addictive weighting method. In the Central Java Province, …

The students' number limitation in a classroom and the compression of face-to-face time challenge teachers to present practical learning scenarios to achieve learning objectives. This study aims to develop student learning procedures with the flipped classroom (FC) instructional model and determine its use in improving student learning outcomes. The research was conducted at a public information technology vocational high school in Malang, East Java Province, Indonesia. The FC instructional procedure development approach is based on the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) phase. The FC instructional procedure was developed in conjunction with a constructivist instructional strategy, consisting of five …

Cross-Language Information Retrieval (CLIR) is responsible for retrieving information stored in a language different from the language of the query provided by the user. Some translation methods commonly used in CLIR are Dictionary, Parallel corpora, Comparable corpora, Machine translator, Ontology, and Transitive-based. The query must be translated to the target language, followed by preprocessing and calculating the similarity between the query and all documents in the corpus. The problem is the time and accuracy of query translation. Moreover, the queries are not written as complete sentences according to certain language rules. Stemming, for example, every language has its own method. …

In the era of digital transformation, telecommunications infrastructure has become the backbone of global connectivity. Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) is a crucial part of an optical network that distributes signals to various points in the network. Maintenance and monitoring of ODCs have become essential to ensure optimal availability and performance. However, conventional approaches are often expensive and difficult to implement. The objective of this study is to develop a LoRaWAN network with the purpose of determining the required number of gateways. Additionally, the research aims to devise an IoT-basedODC device monitoring system within the FTTH network, utilizing data from PT. …

The development of software must consider usability as one of its key success indicators. Relatively few studies discuss the factors influencing usability, including users' backgrounds. The purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of user background, specifically gender, class (year of college admission), and frequency of use on the rating of usability. This research utilized a descriptive quantitative method with instruments: the usability matrix of the Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ), the System Usability Scale (SUS), the Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX), and the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The research object was the Learning Management System (LMS) …

Corn is one of the main ingredients in farm animal feed. Currently, corn is preferable because widely available and cheaper in the market than others. However, it needs quality control on corn production. The company that manufactures animal feed has certain quality standards to receive corn material. On the other hand, the quality of corn produced varies greatly. Thus, quality control when receiving corn from suppliers greatly affects the quality of animal feed. The quality of feed ingredients is classified into physical properties and analytical values. Physical properties are determined so that the resulting corn can be accepted or rejected, …

CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development
This study examines the implementation of a teleworking policy with a work-from-home (WFH) scheme from a private company perspective and its implications on the Greater Jakarta’s proposed urban rail network’s carrying capacity. Using descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, a representative percentage of employees capable of working from home was determined. This figure, found to be sixty percent, was then employed in a macro transport model simulation to assess its impact on urban rail network demand. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that sixty percent of the company's workforce can still permitted to work remotely. The model simulation conducted indicates …

CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development
Jakarta's coastal region, characterized by dense settlements and industrial zones, faces significant flood risks due to land subsidence and rising sea levels, exacerbated by human activities and climate change. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) project, which proposes embankments along Jakarta's coast for enhanced flood resilience. Focusing on the Cengkareng Drain estuary, two-dimensional HEC-RAS simulations were employed. This study incorporates various factors such as precipitation, tides, waves, rising sea levels, and land subsidence to model extreme flood scenarios. The analysis reveals key strategies to improve flood management. Firstly, introducing new pumping stations and …

Impact Analysis Of Land Use Changes On Inundation Map In The Ciliwung River Watershed, Muhammad Raihan Arkan Abiyan Zein, Evi Anggraheni, Dadang Muhamad Yahya
CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development
The rapid population growth in Indonesia’s DKI Jakarta Province has escalated the demand for housing, increasing built-up land at the expense of green open spaces, known as Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH). This shift has significantly reduced the land available for water infiltration, resulting in increased runoff and flow discharge, particularly in the Ciliwung River Watershed. This research aims to map inundation in the Ciliwung River Watershed, which is attributable to land cover changes from 1990 to 2022. The study examines flood flow discharge and inundation patterns by utilizing HEC-HMS 4.10 for hydrological modeling and HEC-RAS 6.1 for 1D and 2D …

The paper examines the challenges and opportunities in Uganda ' s Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) collection system. Data was collected through a questionnaire administered to 423 E-waste collectors and informal recyclers in Uganda and analyzed using the Partial-Least-Squares-Structural Equation Modelling approach. The study found that the system is facing challenges such as inadequate public awareness and infrastructure, and lack of Extended Producer Responsibility. However, there are also financial and economic incentives from E-waste collection and government taxes that can be used as an opportunity. The study suggests that policy-makers and waste management professionals should focus on promoting E-waste …

The U.S. has faced long-standing shortages of generic drugs, causing negative health effects and spikes in drug costs. To address these shortages, investments in critical technologies and policies to support their adoption will be needed. The success of these technologies and policies depends on public acceptance. We studied public acceptance using the mental model approach, which identifies gaps in understanding that can be addressed with communications. We began with semi-structured interviews with experts in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Based on these interviews, we developed and conducted surveys of the general public, physicians, and pharmacists. Similar strategies could be applied to improve communications …
