Stimulating Motor Competence Through Field Games: An Experimental Study On Elementary School Students, Uray Gustian, Y. Touvan Juni Samodra, Fatima Maharani Gandasari, Ghana Fiesta Yosika
Jurnal Keolahragaan
Motoric competence is a competency that requires understanding in carrying out physical activities. However, in the learning process motor competence is carried out without the support of understanding so that it results in students experiencing difficulties and confusion in executing the motor skills they have when in a different environment during training or learning. The research aims to measure the success of stimulation of motor competence by using the field games approach. The research was conducted in the pre-experimental type with the One Group Pretest Posttest Designs type. The experiment was conducted on twelve elementary school students in fourteen meetings. …

Jurnal Keolahragaan
Fencing is a sport that requires a maximum physical component so that in this study the aim was to test and find out the effect of variations in stair climbing exercises in improving floret/foil balestra fencing weapons. This study used a test-experiment with the research design "Single-Group Pretest-Posttest Design". The research sample consisted of 20 people, coming from students (elective course (MKP) Fencing) of a state university in eastern Indonesia (male and female) who were then divided into training groups through random sampling technique. The balestra fence measurement tool for floret/foil type weapons uses the Kuhadja fencing skills test. Pretest …

Integrating Analytical Thinking Skills Into Physical Education To Improve Student Learning Outcomes, Jusuf Blegur, Yusi Riksa Yustiana, Agus Taufik, Muhamad Ilham, Sefri Hardiansyah
Jurnal Keolahragaan
In the education curriculum in Indonesia, physical education is a medium for developing the potential of student learning outcomes in a comprehensive (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) and sustainable manner. However, at the same time, teachers have not maximized analytical thinking supplements in learning and mastering student movements to optimize their physical education learning outcomes. This research used quantitative methods to examine the effect of analytical thinking skills on student learning outcomes. The participants were 24 elementary school students (mean age = 10.17+0.38) who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data on thinking skills were collected using instruments and rubrics …

Jurnal Keolahragaan
Physical literacy has four components, one of which is the physical component. Increasing the physical component requires learning strategies implemented through physical education, one of which is the traditional Lombok game, which is an effective learning process for children. This research aims to test the effectiveness of traditional Lombok games in increasing physical literacy in elementary school students. This study used the Quasi Experimental Design research method (pretest and posttest control group design) involving 66 class IV students. It consists of two groups, namely, the control group and the intervention group. The intervention group (n = 33; 50% boys and …

Microplastics, recognized as emerging contaminants, have been detected in numerous rivers globally. This study focuses on the Ciliwung River in Jakarta, examining the influence of seasonal variations—specifically the rainy and dry seasons—on microplastics' concentration, types, and colors. Sampling was conducted during November 2022 (dry season) and March 2023 (wet season) using a plankton net for water (10 liters) and an Ekman grab sampler for sediment (400 mililiters). Microplastic abundance was analyzed following the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) adaptation method, and their material characteristics were identified using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) testing. Results revealed a notable seasonal impact: …

The Impact Of Adopting Digital Twins In Urban Development, Mohammed Ali Berawi, Perdana Miraj, Mustika Sari
CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development
The construction industry, which plays a pivotal role in urban development, has undergone a significant transformation in recent years. This transformation is largely marked by the rise of digitalization, a phenomenon fundamentally altering how we design, construct, and operate our urban environments. At the forefront of this paradigm shift is the notion of Digital Twins (DT), which entails a dynamic and virtual representation of tangible assets. Urban development has witnessed a growing adoption of this innovative approach to improve cities' infrastructure planning, construction, and management. Digital Twin enables real-time simulation and monitoring, enhancing performance and more informed decision-making. Therefore, implementing …

Creating Interconnected Outdoor Green Infrastructure In The Case Of Aksum Historical Sites, Ethiopia, Guesh Hagos Gebru
CSID Journal of Infrastructure Development
This study investigates the state of outdoor green infrastructures (GI) in Aksum, Ethiopia, employing qualitative and quantitative approaches to address the disconnect between the expanding urban fabric and sustainable green space development. Sentinel satellite imagery and public perception surveys revealed a fragmented landscape of green spaces, including underdeveloped areas like heritage sites, cemeteries, churches, public spaces, stream fronts, and roadside spaces. Quantitative analysis using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Normalized Difference Built-Up Index (NDBI) indicated limited healthy vegetation and a built environment predominance. NDVI values ranged from +0.1 to +0.5, suggesting the presence of grass and shrubs, while …

The trustworthiness of qualitative data has been debatable, yet it has strong support from its supporters. However, the importance and worth of qualitative data cannot be undermined. This paper presents a critical review of the trustworthiness of the qualitative data. The degree of trustworthiness of qualitative research can be measured by ensuring the credibility, transferability, dependability, and conformability of research design, process, and action. The guarantee of trustworthiness in qualitative research is more complex than in quantitative research due to its subjective nature. Many researchers and experts denied the generalizability of qualitative research. However, few researchers, like Guba (1985), developed …

However, there are also financial and economic incentives from E-waste collection and government taxes that can be used as an opportunity. The study suggests that policy-makers and waste management professionals should focus on promoting E-waste …

The U.S. has faced long-standing shortages of generic drugs, causing negative health effects and spikes in drug costs. To address these shortages, investments in critical technologies and policies to support their adoption will be needed. The success of these technologies and policies depends on public acceptance. We studied public acceptance using the mental model approach, which identifies gaps in understanding that can be addressed with communications. We began with semi-structured interviews with experts in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Based on these interviews, we developed and conducted surveys of the general public, physicians, and pharmacists. Similar strategies could be applied to improve communications …
