The Khong-Chi-Mun was a partially realized irrigation project in Northeast Thailand under the “Greening Isaan” plan of development. Afterward, the Thai government revived it in 2012 under the new name “Khong-Loei-Chi-Mun” (KLCM) This new mega-project aimed to improve water access to the region to increase agricultural rice production and answer to a rising worldwide food demand. Social studies education constitutes a diverse aspect of the human ecosystem that needs external resources to enable effective tuition and learning in the classroom. Using external resources has been a significant challenge for Ghana’s junior high school teachers. Given this, the study explored the integration of community resources in teaching social studies in a selected junior high school in the Adentan District in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. ความรู้ ทัศนคติ ที่ส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเจ็บป่วยจากความร้อนในคนประจำเรือสินค้าไทย, ณัฐธาวินี หรดี

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาความรู้ ทัศนคติและการปฏิบัติที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเจ็บป่วยจากความร้อนในคนประจำเรือสินค้าและปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับการปฏิบัติที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเจ็บป่วยจากความร้อนในคนประจำเรือสินค้า วิธีการศึกษา การศึกษาเชิงพรรณนาภาคตัดขวาง ณ จุดใดเวลาหนึ่ง ในคนประจำเรือไทยที่ทำงานในบริษัทเดินเรือสินค้าในกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 246 คน โดยส่งแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ชนิดตอบด้วยตนเองไปยังอีเมลล์ของคนประจำเรือไทย ซึ่งประกอบด้วยข้อมูลปัจจัยด้านบุคคล ปัจจัยด้านงาน ด้านความรู้ ทัศนคติ และการปฏิบัติที่เกี่ยวกับการเจ็บป่วยจากความร้อนในการทำงานบนเรือ ผลการศึกษา ความรู้และทัศนคติส่งผลต่อการปฏิบัติฯ โดยทัศนคติและความรู้ที่ดีจะมีการปฏิบัติฯที่ดี อย่างไรก็ตาม ทัศนคติมีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับการปฏิบัติฯ มากกว่าความรู้ และพบว่ามากกว่าครึ่งหนึ่งของกลุ่มตัวอย่างมีความรู้ ทัศนคติ และการปฏิบัติฯ อยู่ในระดับน้อยถึงปานกลาง โดยปัจจัยที่สัมพันธ์กับระดับการปฏิบัติฯ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ได้แก่ ระดับการศึกษา กลุ่มตำแหน่งหน้าที่ ประเภทเรือ ลักษณะเวลาการทำงาน และ การทำงานที่ต้องสัมผัสกับแหล่งกำเนิดความร้อนอื่น และยังพบว่า ระยะเวลาการทำงานที่ต้องสัมผัสแหล่งกำเนิดความร้อนอื่นที่มากขึ้น สัมพันธ์กับคะแนนการปฏิบัติฯที่ลดลง สรุป ดังนั้นจึงควรมีการพัฒนา ให้ความรู้ เสริมสร้างทัศนคติ เพื่อนำไปสู่การปฏิบัติฯที่ถูกต้อง และควรมีมาตรการในการป้องกันการเจ็บป่วยจากความร้อนในคนประจำเรือสินค้าไทยในสภาวะอุณหภูมิโลกที่สูงขึ้น

พฤติกรรมเอนเอียงกลุ่มใน คือ แนวโน้มของปัจเจกบุคคลในการเลือกปฏิสัมพันธ์กับผู้ที่มีตัวตนหรือสถานะบางอย่างเหมือนกันกับตนเอง หรือ “กลุ่มใน” มากกว่าผู้ที่มีตัวตนหรือสถานะบางอย่างต่างกับตนเอง หรือ “กลุ่มนอก” ปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าวเป็นหนึ่งในสาเหตุให้เกิดการเลือกปฏิบัติและพฤติการณ์ทุจริตเชิงระบบอุปถัมภ์ขึ้น และในประเทศไทยปัจจุบันยังพบว่ามีการใช้เส้นสายและระบบอุปถัมภ์เกิดขึ้น โดยมีสาเหตุมาจากการใช้ช่องทางความสัมพันธ์ที่มีลักษณะเป็น “กลุ่มในและกลุ่มนอก” เช่น การใช้ความสัมพันธ์เชิงเครือญาติ สถานะทางสังคมต่างๆ เช่น สถาบันการศึกษา รวมทั้งทัศนคติหรืออุดมคติต่อบางอย่างที่มีร่วมกัน งานศึกษานี้จึงถูกจัดทำขึ้นเพื่อสำรวจคุณลักษณะ และรูปแบบความสัมพันธ์ที่เด่นที่สุด โดยการใช้วิธีการเศรษฐศาสตร์ทดลองในรูปแบบเกมเผด็จการ ผลการศึกษาสรุปออกมาได้ว่าอาสาสมัครมอบเงินจำลองให้ตัวเลือกที่เป็นเครือญาติมากที่สุด ซึ่งมีความเป็นไปได้สูงว่ามีอิทธิพลทางสังคมเกี่ยวกับการตอบแทนบุญคุณ นอกเหนือจากนี้ ผลทางสถิติให้ผลว่าผู้ที่มีความถี่ในการมีพฤติกรรมเอนเอียงกลุ่มในที่สุดคือเพศหญิง โดยเฉพาะผู้ที่มีภูมิลำเนาอยู่นอกกรุงเทพมหานครฯ และปริมณฑล

การเคลื่อนที่ของตะกอนในแม่น้ำสายหลักของลุ่มน้ำเจ้าพระยาตอนบน, เมธาฤทธิ์ แนมสัย

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการเคลื่อนที่ของตะกอน ในแม่น้ำสายหลักของลุ่มน้ำเจ้าพระยาตอนบน ประกอบด้วย แม่น้ำปิง วัง ยม และน่าน ในการศึกษาได้ใช้ข้อมูลอุทกวิทยาย้อนหลัง ตั้งแต่ปี 2464 ถึง 2562 และข้อมูลสำรวจการไหลของน้ำและตะกอนในปี 2561 และ 2562 การวิเคราะห์การเคลื่อนที่ของตะกอนในแม่น้ำแต่ละสายได้ใช้วิธีการทางสถิติทั่วไป วิธี Mann-Kendall (MK) และวิธีโค้งทับทวี (DMC) ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ปริมาณตะกอนรายปีเฉลี่ยที่สถานีอุทกวิทยาใกล้ทางออกลุ่มน้ำของแม่น้ำปิง (สถานี P.17) วัง (สถานี W.4A) ยม (สถานี Y.16) และน่าน (สถานี N.67) ประมาณ 0.82, 0.26, 0.35 และ 1.88 ล้านตัน/ปี ตามลำดับ โดยการเคลื่อนที่ของตะกอนในแม่น้ำทั้ง 4 สาย ส่วนใหญ่เคลื่อนที่ในลักษณะแขวนลอยเป็นหลัก ยกเว้นแม่น้ำปิงด้านท้ายน้ำของเขื่อนภูมิพลที่เคลื่อนที่เป็นตะกอนท้องน้ำ ผลการศึกษาความผันแปรในเชิงเวลาของปริมาณตะกอนรายปี พบว่า หลายสถานีมีแนวโน้มลดลง ได้แก่ สถานี P.1 ของแม่น้ำปิง สถานี W.16A, W.1C และ W.23 ของแม่น้ำวัง สถานี N.5A, N.7A, N.8A และ N.67 ของแม่น้ำน่าน และแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา ที่สถานี C.2 ในทางกลับกันที่สถานี Y.1C และ Y.16 ของแม่น้ำยมกลับมีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น ส่วนผลการศึกษาความผันแปรของปริมาณตะกอนในเชิงตำแหน่ง แสดงให้เห็นว่า ปริมาณตะกอนรายปีเฉลี่ยเพิ่มขึ้นตามระยะทางจากต้นน้ำไปยังท้ายน้ำ อย่างไรก็ตามปริมาณตะกอนในแม่น้ำยมและแม่น้ำวังมีการลดลงในแม่น้ำตอนล่างใกล้ทางออกของลุ่มน้ำ ผลการศึกษายังพบว่าการก่อสร้างเขื่อนภูมิพล กิ่วลม แม่จาง กิ่วคอหมา และฝายแม่ยม ไม่ได้ส่งผลอย่างมีนัยสำคัญต่อปริมาณตะกอนในแม่น้ำใกล้ทางออกลุ่มน้ำของแม่น้ำปิง วัง และยม ในขณะที่ใกล้ทางออกลุ่มน้ำของแม่น้ำน่านมีปริมาณตะกอนเพิ่มขึ้นหลังจากการก่อสร้างเขื่อนสิริกิติ์ แต่ปริมาณตะกอนกลับลดลงหลังจากการก่อสร้างเขื่อนทดน้ำนเรศวรและเขื่อนแควน้อยบำรุงแดน นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ปริมาณตะกอนที่สถานี C.2 หลังจากการสร้างอาคารชลศาสตร์ขนาดใหญ่ทั้ง 8 แห่ง ลดลงเพียง 31 เปอร์เซ็นต์ของปริมาณตะกอนก่อนก่อสร้างเขื่อนภูมิพล …

Digital Sustainable Livelihoods And Displacement: A Study Of Myanmar Mixed Migrants In Mae Sot, Thailand, Thinn Nadi Soe

This study explores how digital tools enhance sustainable livelihoods for Myanmar mixed migrants in Thailand and examines how digital resources integrate into livelihood strategies for self-reliance and socio-economic well-being using a modified Sustainable Livelihood Framework. Insights from key informants’ experiences, and stakeholder perspectives reveal that mixed migrants leverage strong human and social capital, showing adaptability and resilience, which can lead to sustainable livelihoods with digital engagement. However, major challenges in financial stability, digital access, natural resources, and social inclusion require further support.

Given the threat of a worsening climate crisis, there is a strong need for community and ecosystem resilience. Diverse urban agroforestry systems have the potential to accomplish both and meet many of the objectives outlined in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska’s climate action plan. Additionally, Berlin, Germany could provide an effective model for Lincoln in this regard given the city’s extensive history of established urban agroforestry systems. The objective of this study then is to develop a design for an urban agroforestry site modeled on Berlin’s allotment gardens and tailored to Lincoln’s needs. For my senior thesis project, I decided to study nitrate pollution to better understand and analyze how college students in Nebraska viewed and understood the complex issue of nitrate pollution. From my study only half of college students surveyed viewed nitrate pollution as a problem. Only 15 percent of college students test their water for nitrates, and most college students were knowledgeable on how nitrate pollution occurs. Due to the negative impacts of nitrate pollution within human health, soil health, and ecosystem function further work needs to be completed to raise awareness and knowledge on the impacts of nitrate pollution.

Short train rail lines across the United States are seeing increased national funding to reduce toxic chemical spills caused by train derailments, the most notable of which happened in February 2023 in East Palestine, Ohio. A year prior, the film White Noise (2022) featured a similar toxic train derailment incident, taking place, too, in Eastern Ohio, and featuring actors from the town of East Palestine. In considering other films featuring trains, I identified a pattern of environmental conflict, leading me to question the relationship between trains and the natural environment as portrayed in popular cinema.
