Background: Prolonged exercise can result in splanchnic hypoperfusion and elevated core body temperature (Tcore), which can contribute to gastrointestinal injury and endotoxemia. The effects of fluid temperature and carbohydrate consumption during exercise on these variables are less clear. Objectives: The study aimed to determine the effects of the temperature of water and carbohydrate drinks on intestinal epithelial injury, endotoxemia, splanchnic perfusion, and Tcore during 60-minute of moderate-intensity running. Methods: Ten participants completed four 60-minute running trials at 70% VO2max with different types of hydration: no water (NW), ambient temperature water (ATW), cold water (CW), and cold carbohydrate water (CW+CHO). This thesis presents a usability evaluation of a smart Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) dashboard interface through a cross-cultural study. The objective is to assess the usability problems and evaluate the user experience of the interface through quantitative and qualitative analysis. The study recruited 20 participants from three different countries, considering their familiarity and unfamiliarity with smart HVAC systems. The participants performed a set of tasks using the dashboard while providing think-aloud feedback. The quantitative evaluation measured effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction based on the ISO:9241-11:2018, while the qualitative evaluation focused on identifying usability issues based on participant feedback …

The visibility of female role models in science is vital for engaging and retaining women in scientific fields. In this study, we analyse four senior secondary science courses delivered across the states and territories in Australia: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Physics. We compared male and female representation within the science courses by examining the mentions of male and female scientists along with the context of their inclusions in the syllabuses. We find a clear gender bias with only one unique mention of a female scientist. We also find a clear Eurocentric focus and narrow representation of scientists. This bias …

การศึกษานี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการพัฒนาแอปพลิเคชันคัดเลือกของขวัญตามโอกาสต่าง ๆ ภายใต้งบประมาณและประเภทของผู้รับ โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์จากข้อมูลผ่านระบบ Recommendation System เพื่อค้นหาของขวัญให้เหมาะกับงบประมาณและความชอบของผู้รับ รวมทั้งศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในเชิงพาณิชย์ จากการสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่อยู่ในช่วงวัยทำงานและมีพฤติกรรมซื้อของออนไลน์ พบว่ามีปัญหาในการที่ต้องเลือกซื้อของขวัญภายใต้งบประมาณที่จำกัด ซึ่งนำไปสู่การออกแบบและพัฒนานวัตกรรม เพื่อตอบโจทย์ทั้งผู้ให้และผู้รับนอกจากนี้ยังช่วยประหยัดเวลาในการค้นหาของขวัญ ทำให้การเลือกซื้อของขวัญเป็นอะไรที่ง่ายและสะดวกสบายมากขึ้นและคาดหวังว่าจะสามารถช่วยให้การเลือกซื้อของขวัญเป็นเรื่องที่ง่ายยิ่งขึ้น โดยมีการสํารวจและวิเคราะห์พฤติกรรม รวมถึงความต้องการในการใช้แอปพลิเคชันของกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ กลุ่มวัยรุ่นและวัยทำงานที่ต้องเข้าสังคมและมีการซื้อของขวัญในแต่ละปี จํานวนทั้งสิ้น 406 คน โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างส่วนมากจะมอบของขวัญในวันแสดงความยินดีต่างๆ วันเกิด และ วันปีใหม่ โดยประเภทของขวัญที่มอบให้มีหลากหลายขึ้นอยู่กับงบประมาณของผู้ให้และความชอบของผู้รับ และมีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับกลุ่มเป้าหมายทั้งหมด 15 คน ได้มีการให้ข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อนำมาปรับปรุงและพัฒนาต่อ โดยผู้ทำแบบสำรวจได้ให้ความสนใจในการใช้แอปพลิเคชันช่วยคัดเลือกของขวัญตามโอกาสต่าง ๆ ภายใต้งบประมาณและประเภทของผู้รับ เพราะช่วยประหยัดเวลาในการหาของขวัญได้และเป็นของขวัญที่อยู่ภายใต้งบประมาณ

เพื่อศึกษาความไม่ต่อเนื่องทางวาทกรรม การตีความของมารดา และกลวิธีการประกอบสร้างวาทกรรมในเชิงเรื่องเล่าต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ซึ่งมีอิทธิพลต่อชนชั้นกลางชาวไทย งานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพชิ้นนี้ศึกษาตัวบทที่มีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับแม่และเผยแพร่ในปี พ.ศ.2475-2565 อาทิ แบบเรียนภาษาไทย วรรณกรรม ละครโทรทัศน์ นิตยสาร สมุดบันทึกสุขภาพแม่และเด็ก สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ รวมถึงโฆษณา และข่าวในพระราชสำนัก ผลการวิจัยพบวาทกรรมนมแม่ซึ่งสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 5 ยุค ดังนี้ (1) ยุคก่อนกรอบการวิจัย คติทางพุทธให้ความหมายของนมแม่ว่ากลั่นมาจากเลือดในอกด้วยความรักของแม่ น้ำนมแม่เป็นสัญญะของจิตวิญญาณความเป็นแม่ซึ่งส่งผ่านจากเจ้าของน้ำนมสู่ทารก แม้แต่จากแม่นม กระนั้นไม่พบว่ามารดามีบทบาทสำคัญใด ๆ ในเรื่องเล่า (2) ยุคนมแม่อาหารตามธรรมชาติ นมแม่มีสัญญะของอาหารเชิงโภชนาการมากขึ้นและจิตวิญญาณในน้ำนมแม่ส่งผ่านเฉพาะมารดาทางชีวภาพ ไม่ใช่จากแม่นม มารดามีบทบาทมากขึ้นในเรื่องเล่าในฐานะผู้สร้างชาติและมีบุญคุณ (3) ยุคนมแม่แพ้นมผง ด้วยอิทธิพลของโฆษณาและองค์ความรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ นมผงเป็นอาหารทดแทนนมแม่ที่สามารถเติมสารอาหารเข้าไปได้ ภาพของมารดายุคใหม่จึงไม่ต้องให้นมแม่ (4) ยุคนมแม่แน่ที่สุด องค์ความรู้วิทยาศาสตร์และคติพุทธให้คุณค่าต่อนมแม่ในสื่อทุกประเภท คู่ตรงข้ามเป็นกลวิธีในการสร้างให้นมผงมีความหมายดุจยาพิษ ส่งผลให้มารดาที่เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่เท่านั้นคือแม่ที่ดี (5) ยุคแห่งการกระจัดกระจายของวาทกรรม เริ่มปรากฏการตระหนักถึงระบบคู่ตรงข้ามและการต่อรองวาทกรรมว่านมแม่ดีที่สุดแต่นมผงก็ใช้ได้หากจำเป็น ในอีกพื้นที่วาทกรรมมีการให้คุณค่านมแม่ว่าเป็นน้ำนมคน คือมีความเป็นวัตถุและไม่แฝงจิตวิญญาณของเจ้าของน้ำนม จากปรากฏการณ์บริจาคน้ำนมแม่บนโลกออนไลน์ด้วยการตีความว่านมแม่คนใด ๆ นั้นดีกว่าและปลอดภัยกว่านมโค แสดงให้เห็นอิทธิพลของสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ที่จัดสรรให้แต่ละกลุ่มวาทกรรมมีพื้นที่อุดมการณ์ของตัวเอง มารดาในยุคออนไลน์มีสถานะเป็นผู้เล่าเรื่องและมีความเป็นปัจเจกบุคคลมากขึ้นกว่าแต่ก่อน ซึ่งด้านหนึ่งช่วยเพิ่มอำนาจให้กับมารดาในการต่อรองกับปิตาธิปไตย แต่อีกด้านหนึ่งกลับพบการผลิตซ้ำบทบาทหน้าที่ของสตรีให้มีจำกัด การตีความด้านการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ของมารดามี 2 จังหวะ ครั้งแรกคือช่วงก่อนการคลอดที่สื่อมีบทบาทมาก และอีกครั้งภายหลังคลอดซึ่งประสบการณ์ส่วนบุคคลร่วมกับสื่อที่ใช้มีบทบาทต่อพฤติกรรมการให้นมและความภาคภูมิใจในการเป็นแม่ กรอบความรู้ทางคติพุทธและวิทยาการตะวันตกปะทะสังสรรค์กันตลอดช่วงเวลาทางประวัติศาสตร์ และวาทกรรมหนึ่ง ๆ จะครองอำนาจได้เมื่อกรอบความรู้ทั้งสองทำงานสอดประสานกัน ผู้วิจัยเสนอแนะว่าการสื่อสารเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ไม่ควรเน้นความหมายเฉพาะที่ตัวน้ำนมแม่ ไม่จำเป็นต้องชูภาพความสำเร็จของความเป็นแม่จากมารดาที่ให้นมแม่ปริมาณมาก แต่ควรนำเสนอมิติของความสัมพันธ์ให้มากขึ้นและสามารถให้ข้อมูลอาหารทดแทนนมแม่เพื่อเป็นตัวเลือกต่อมารดาหากจำเป็นต้องใช้

This research examines how the historical Korean drama "Under the Queen's Umbrella" (2022) portrays modern Korean society. By comparing the societal depictions within the drama with contemporary Korean society, it analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of using historical dramas to represent modern social issues. The researcher primarily uses Stuart Hall's theory of representation as a framework. The study found that the scriptwriter of the drama created a representation of modern Korean phenomena through a cross-temporal representation, highlighting the intense competition within the education system, the dynamics of parental and family institutions, and human rights issues. In 2016, Missouri released the Missouri Learning Standards (MLS) for science based on the NGSS. Like the NGSS, the MLS diverges from previous approaches to K-12 science education, shifting the burden placed on teachers to change their classroom practices to schools to provide materials, supplies, and support. Despite the increased need for time and materials to meet more rigorous standards, schools across the country have decreased the resources allocated to and time spent on science instruction, which has negative implications for student achievement. In this article, the author describes their mental health struggles tied to Black Masculinity as a (former) Black athlete. In particular, the author focuses on the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community and the ways in which Blackness, Black masculinity, and mental health battles emulate the (Black) struggle that must be. This manuscript undertakes a disciplinary self-critique of the field of implementation science, a field which attempts to bridge the gap between evidence-based interventions and their practical application. Despite the heightened emphasis on health equity and racial disparities, the field's current discourse is limited by key epistemic shortcomings. First, even though prevalence of implementation gaps between racialized groups in the United States necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the systems perpetuating these disparities, the field does not operate with a general explanation for disparities not as a failure of systems, but a system historically and structural designed to produce disparities.
