In the article we consider the Sturm-Liouville equation −y ′′+(q(x)+h(x))y = 0, 0 ≤ x < +∞, where q(x) satisfies the conditions of regularity of growth at infinity and h(x) is a fast-oscillating function. Sufficient conditions are found under which the asymptotics of solutions of the equation is determined only by the function q(x). A new method for obtaining asymptotic formulas for solutions is proposed, consisting in the standard replacement of the equation by a system of first-order equations followed by the application of the Hausdorff identity [1]

This dissertation investigates Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) stakeholder perceptions of financial incentives in Truck Appointment Systems (TAS), aiming to address the escalating congestion and operational challenges posed by peak-time truck arrival frequency. The objectives of this research are as follows: (i) To identify the factors that influence trucking companies to arrive at the CPA gate during peak hours. (ii) To evaluate stakeholder perceptions of the effectiveness of financial incentives in the TAS to reduce peak-time truck arrival frequency at Chittagong Port. This study aimed to investigate the correlation of scientific reasoning and argumentation into prospective biology teachers in plant physiology discourse. This study was conducted at September-December 2021 through blended learning. Thirty prospective biology teachers get involved as participant in this research. Scientific reasoning and argumentation intervention trough PBL and measure by essay tests. Scientific reasoning indicator follows AACU. While scientific argumentation follow TAP. This research found there is correlation between scientific reasoning and argumentation, with R value of 0.556 which means that scientific reasoning skills and scientific argumentation are moderately correlated. Part I of this paper considers the historical foundations, motivations, and evolution of veterans’ disability and employment legislation in the United States. Utilizing disability and employment as its framework, Part II then defines, describes, and critiques contemporary policies for disabled veterans in the areas of federal employment protections and uses of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) within the VA’s disability decision review process. Part III discusses the roles played by disabled veterans and the federal government in policy reform, finding that both sides act as catalysts and barriers to legislative change. The purpose of this case study is to determine the effect of diaphragmatic breathing and endurance exercise in hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) cases. HAP is a nosocomial pneumonia that occurs 48 hours or more after the patient is admitted to the hospital, without any signs of pulmonary infection at the time of initial treatment. The existence of clinical manifestations that appear, patients with HAP tend to avoid physical activity which can decrease the functional capacity of the respiratory system and have an impact on decreasing endurance. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) was enacted to prevent discrimination based on an employee’s genetic information. Although GINA undoubtedly provides employees protection from unjust genetic discrimination by employers, varying interpretations of what constitutes “genetic information” has raised legal uncertainties in how GINA is applied. We consider discrete mortality data for groups of individuals observed over time. The fitting of cumulative mortality curves as a function of time involves the longitudinal modelling of the multinomial response. Typically such data exhibit overdispersion, that is greater variation than predicted by the multinomial dis-tribution. To model the extra-multinomial variation (overdispersion) we consider a Dirichlet-multinomial model, a random intercept model and a random intercept and slope model. We construct asymptotic and robust covariance matrix estimators for the regression parameter standard errors. A seemingly uncorrelated regression (SUR) model is a special case of multivariate models, in which the error terms in these equations are contemporaneously related. The method estimator (GLS) is efficient because it takes into account the covariance structure of errors, but it is also very sensitive to outliers. The robust SUR estimator can dealing outliers. We propose two robust methods for calculating the estimator, which are (S-Estimations, and FastSUR). We find that it significantly improved the quality of SUR model estimates.
