This research provides an overview of the Thailand agreement on greenhouse gas emissions, specifically focusing on the meat industry, and examines the roles of the government, private companies, and civil society in Thailand. Research indicates that the meat industry has significant environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. Livestock for meat consumption has been a major contributor to environmental issues such as climate change, water pollution, and deforestation. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients suffer from the accumulation of toxic substances in their blood due to the loss of kidney function, which results in hyperphosphatemia. This condition contributes to hyperparathyroidism, leading to the development of chronic kidney disease-related mineral bone disorder (CKD-MBD). Additionally, CKD patients experience changes in their gut microbiota, disrupting epithelial tight junctions and allowing excessive absorption of dietary phosphate. Macrophage is vital players in the responsiveness of the innate immune system against injury or infection. Innate immune memory is the phenomenon that can either enhance (trained) or suppress (tolerized) immune response by innate immune cells during the second encounter of the stimuli such as pathogens. Previous studies reported that epigenetic regulations critically regulate both types of innate immune memory. However, a complete understanding of the underlying mechanisms is still lacking. Non-alcoholic liver disease (NAFLD) has multiple risk factors, including genetic risk factors. Patients with certain genetic variants are more susceptible to the disease. People living with HIV (PLWH) have higher prevalence of NAFLD compared to those without HIV infection. But, the evidence on genetic factors in PLWH with NAFLD is limited. Background: The genetic variants spectra of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) vary among different populations. Here we described the clinical and genetic characteristics of biopsy-proven FSGS patients in Thailand. We also used special staining in renal biopsy tissue to describe protein expression related to the variants found by whole-exome sequencing (WES). Also, a functional study in cells was studied to investigate the etiologic evidence of the variants found by WES. Phthalate esters (PAEs) have been classified as a priority contaminant due to their endocrine-disrupting properties and abundance in the environment. Previously, several PAE-degrading consortia were enriched from landfill soil. This study aimed to initially select a consortium with efficient degradation activity, to characterize based on degradation kinetics and community dynamics, and to evaluate bioaugmentation feasibility while maintaining activity through continuous transfer. It was obtained based on enriched consortium selection that LF-NK-DEHP could simultaneously degrade 92.9% 100 mg l-1 DBP and 63.4% 100 mg l-1 DEHP within seven days. Antiresorptive drugs are widely used to treat osteoporosis. A serious adverse effect of these drugs is medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). By informing and educating patients about MRONJ, providing proper dental referral, and monitoring the oral health of patients who receive antiresorptive agents, physicians can reduce the risk of MRONJ. We investigated the awareness and clinical practices of physicians in Thailand with regard to MRONJ. Physicians who prescribed antiresorptive drugs for osteoporosis filled out an online self-administered questionnaire about demographic characteristics, awareness, and practices related to MRONJ. Aerosol-generating procedures with contaminated saliva may pose a risk of disease transmission during the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 preventive measures in dental clinics have evolved in response to the pandemic situation. This research investigated the effect of this pandemic on Thai patients' knowledge, attitudes, and behavior toward dental treatment. The online survey was distributed in June 2022. There were 978 participants in the study. The results showed that most participants had accurate knowledge about the COVID-19 transmission route in dentistry. Objective: Indirect Jagged1 immobilization efficiently activates canonical Notch signaling in hDPSCs. This study aimed to investigate the characteristic of the Jagged1-treated hDPSCs-derived dECM and its biological activity on odonto/osteogenic differentiation SCAPs. Methods: Bioinformatic database of Jagged1-treated hDPSCs was analyzed by NetworkAnalyst. hDPSCs seeded on Jagged1 immobilized surface were maintained with N or OM followed by decellularization procedure, dECM-N or dECM-OM, respectively. SCAPs were reseeded on each dECM with either normal medium or OM. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. This study investigated the effects of the pitch (P) and thread shape on orthodontic miniscrew cortical bone microdamage. The relationship between microdamage and primary stability was examined. Ti6Al4V orthodontic miniscrews had custom-made thread heights (H) and pitch sizes and were classified into the following groups: HCPC (control); HCPN (with a narrower pitch); and HTPC (with a taller thread height) (HC = 0.12 mm; HT = 0.36 mm; PC = 0.60 mm; PN = 0.30 mm). Hypoxia induces reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in periodontal tissues. Superoxide dismutase 3 (SOD3) is an enzyme protecting cells from ROS. This study investigated SOD3 expression and function during rat orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) and in hypoxia-exposed rat PDL cells. OTM of right maxillary first molars were performed in Sprague-Dawley rats for 1 and 14 days (n = 6 per group). SOD3 and HIF-1α expression were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. Since the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019 (COVID-19), the development of effective vaccines to combat the infection has accelerated worldwide. While the severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) with mutations in the receptor-binding domain (RBD) with high transmissibility, enhanced infectivity, and immune escape from vaccination is also predominantly emerging. Effective vaccines against variant of concern (VOC) and optimized booster vaccination strategies are thus highly required. Free radicals are unstable, highly reactive, molecules which can cause several degenerative diseases such as mutagenesis and carcinogenesis. This research aims to study the chemical constitutents of Dendrobium virgineum and their antioxidant activity in 3 different test models including DPPH radical scavenging assay, superoxide radical scavenging activity assay and oxygen radical absorbance capacity assay. Nine compounds were isolated and determined to be two new compounds named 2,8-dimethoxy-9,10-dihydro-4,5-phenanthrenediol and 2,5-dimethoxy-7-hydroxy-9,10-dihydro-1,4-phenanthrenequinone, together with seven known compounds, which are 2-methoxy-9,10-dihydro-4,5-phenanthrenediol, gigantol, 5-methoxy-7-hydroxy-9,10-dihydro-1,4-phenanthrenequinone, p-coumaric acid, tristin, 2,5,7-trihydroxy-4-methoxy-9,10-dihydrophenanthrene and 9,10-dihydro-2,4,7-phenanthrenetriol. This study investigates the effectiveness of the UCC-IAQ program in Thai childcare centers, focusing on BRS and indoor air pollution. It involves 81 childcare workers in Nonthaburi and Saraburi provinces, Over eight hours, air quality measurements were taken at ten settings. Data on BRS and building-related factors were collected via surveys. Statistically significant differences in pollution levels were not observed between the UCC-IAQ program's intervention and comparison groups. However, the intervention group experienced a significant decrease in BRS compared to the comparison group. This thesis presents an analysis of the folk beliefs and cultural tourism in modern Vietnam through a case study of the Perfume Temple Festival. It is presumed that folk beliefs and traditional folklore have always constituted the spiritual foundation of Vietnamese people in present day society. It is found that the introduction of religions from outside Vietnam does not affect traditional folk beliefs. These religious beliefs have been integrated into Vietnamese beliefs and traditional culture. This integration contributes to the stability and harmony of modern Vietnamese society. The purposes of this mixed methods study were to 1) explore how teachers integrate out-of-class resources in Thai EFL classrooms, 2) explore how teachers conduct autonomy-supportive instruction with out-of-class resources in Thai EFL classrooms, and 3) propose a teaching guideline for English autonomy-supportive instruction with out-of-class resources in EFL classrooms. Data were collected through a questionnaire, classroom observations, and follow-up interviews. Amorphous cellulose-graphene oxide bead composites are popularly employed in water purification. However, the existing fabrication methods of amorphous cellulose (AC) and amorphous cellulose-graphene oxide (ACGO) beads are complicated with many chemical use, multi-step, time and energy-consuming. In this research, we proposed an efficient method for fabricating amorphous cellulose-graphene oxide (ACGO) beads using less chemical under a simple 2-step approach. The Land and Buildings Tax Act, B.E. 2562 (A.D. 2019), was enacted in Thailand with the aim of wealth distribution, revenue increase, and discouraging unproductive land use. However, since its implementation in 2020, in Bangkok, a notable increase in land use and land cover (LULC) changes, specifically vacant lands being converted to agricultural lands, has been observed. These changes are hypothesized to be related to tax avoidance activities.
