The Inhibition Activity Of Tert-Butylhydroquinone Towards Corrosion Of Aluminum, Copper And Stainless Steel In Biodiesel Blend B20 Alternative Fuel, Chaza Joumaa, Ibtissam Saad, Ghassan Younes
BAU Journal - Science and Technology
Tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) has been investigated as corrosion inhibitor for aluminum; copper and stainless steel in biodiesel blend B20 by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method. The results showed that the inhibition efficiency increases with an increase in the concentration of TBHQ but decreases with increasing temperature from 30℃ to 60℃. A maximum inhibition efficiency of about 61.52% for aluminum was recorded for THBQ in biodiesel blend B20 at temperature 30℃ and at a concentration of 4x10-6 M which is the lowest concentration used compared to the concentrations of TBHQ used for the other metals (copper and stainless steel). Theoretical …

The Elected Parliaments Under The Review Of The Appointed Judiciary In Egypt And Palestine, Mohamad Abualrob
An-Najah University Journal for Research - B (Humanities)
This study departs from the assumption that the Arab judicial systems in general are infused by the Egyptian judicial system, as it is one of the most ancient and deep-rooted systems in the Arab World. Not surprisingly, the Egyptian courts had been one of the first in the Arab region to review the legitimacy of the Arab parliaments after the "Arab Spring" as it is known in the Arab media. Arguing this, the most apparent example on this assumption is the decision of the Supreme Constitutional Court to dissolve the Egyptian Parliament in post-January 2011 Revolution. Arguably, the dissolution of …

INTRODUCTION: Grades 2 and 3 gliomas (G2/3 gliomas), when combined, are the second largest group of malignant brain tumours in adults. The outcomes for G2/3 gliomas at progression approach the dismal outcomes for glioblastoma (GBM), yet there is a paucity of trials for Australian patients with relapsed G2/3 gliomas compared with patients with GBM. LUMOS will be a pilot umbrella study for patients with relapsed G2/3 gliomas that aims to match patients to targeted therapies based on molecular screening with contemporaneous tumour tissue. Participants in whom no actionable or no druggable mutation is found, or in whom the matching drug …
State Revenue Dedicated For Special Purposes: A Proposed Constitutional Amendment, Mark Andrews
State Revenue Dedicated For Special Purposes: A Proposed Constitutional Amendment, Mark Andrews
Alaska Law Review
The Alaska State budget has decreased in recent years, and because of the lower price of oil, it is not expected to recover in the near term. This smaller budgetary pie may intensify the impulse to protect the funding of individual projects. However, the Alaska Constitution forbids the dedication of taxes for specific purposes. This Essay proposes a state constitutional amendment that would allow such dedications, subject to limits designed to avoid potential problems. The Essay describes the effect the proposal would have had on past decisions of the Alaska Supreme Court and compares the dedication of tax revenue to …

New Rules Of The Game: The Politization Of Community Courts In Mozambique, Molly Utter
Washington International Law Journal
After a fifteen-year civil war, the Mozambique government turned to customary justice to address the conflicts that emerged during the war by creating Community Courts. The goal of the Community Courts was to mimic their successful grassroots predecessors, the Popular Courts, and to bring justice to the people, by the people. Yet one year before the creation of the Community Courts, the Mozambican government implemented the Law on the Organization of the Judiciary, which limited formal jurisdiction to the district level and excluded grassroot courts from the official judicial structure. Grassroot courts, most significantly the Popular Courts, ceased to run …

Paging Doctor Robot: Medical Artificial Intelligence, Tort Liability, And Why Personhood May Be The Answer, Benedict See
Brooklyn Law Review
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a part of everyday life. From our phones, to social media accounts, to online shopping, AI is present and enhances our daily experiences. One area where AI has a heavy (and an increasing) presence is the medical industry. Just as humans make mistakes, so does AI. However, when a human doctor makes a mistake, they can be sued for malpractice, but when AI makes a mistake, who is to be held responsible? Because tort law was designed with humans in mind, it may be hard to apply to medical AI, who’s “black box” algorithms make their …
