The Urinary Proteomic Analysis And The Vitamin D Receptor Polymorphisms In Dogs With Calcium Oxalate Urolithiasis, Sumonwan Chamsuwan
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Calcium oxalate (CaOx) urolithiasis is one of the most common stone components which frequently occurs in both humans and dogs. Hypercalciuria is one of the predisposing factors commonly found in both people and dogs with calcium urolithiasis. The genetic factors are also involved with the pathogenesis of stone formation, and the relationship between calcium handling and vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphisms has been demonstrated to be related to calcium urolithiasis in human populations. Moreover, some urinary proteins may be involved in the process of stone formation. The present study aimed firstly to evaluate the relationship between VDR polymorphism in dog …

Enhanced Heterogeneous Network Model With Ensemble Similarities For Identifying Protein Targets Of Drugs, Piyanut Tangmanussukum
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Currently, computational identification of drug target proteins is widely used to help saving cost and time for drug discovery and development. One of the most efficient approaches is a prediction of drug-target interactions based on similarity scores between drugs and target proteins. Despite various data about drugs and targets extensively available, only chemical structures and protein sequences are mostly used to compute drug-drug and target-target similarity scores, respectively. In this thesis, the Forward similarity integration (FSI) Framework is proposed for systematically integrating multiple similarity measures to construct a heterogeneous network propagation model with a suitable similarity integration. Seven drug-similarity measures, …

Vacant Shophouse Buildings In Bangkok: The Root Causes And Strategic Options, Nabila Imam
Chulalongkorn University Theses and Dissertations (Chula ETD)
Since the old-fashioned shophouse buildings cannot act in response to the urban sprawl and changing lifestyles of Bangkok, progressively they are converting into partially vacant buildings or sometimes they go off entirely unoccupied for an indefinite period of time. A noteworthy number of fully or partially vacant shophouse buildings can be found in every nook and corner of the city. These vacant shophouses act as the "voids" in the neighborhood, posing a threat to potential housing community development, economic opportunity, environmental health, and public safety within the city. However, these so-called "voids" might offer a great opportunity for the city …
