The current study was performed to investigate the effects of hatching time and feed access time on chick quality, organ development, blood parameters, and intestinal morphology in broilers. A total of 1935 hatching eggs were incubated at 37.8 °C with 55 to 60% RH conditions. Chicks were classified according to the hatching time (HT) as follows: chicks hatched before 482 h (early HT), between 482-496 h (medium HT) and 496-510 h (late HT). The hatched chicks were randomly divided into two groups to create two feed access (FA) time: early FA and late FA. Chicks with early FA started to …

Consumption of fermented milk products especially kefir is accelerated in the population due to their high nutritional value and other health benefits. These health benefits are rooted in the composition of source material and flora of kefir grains. Therefore, the utilization of different kinds of milk as source material in kefir production directly affects the properties of kefir. In this study, changes in the physicochemical properties, microbiological profiles, antibacterial effects, antioxidant activities, sensory evaluation, and total phenolic and total flavonoid contents of kefirs obtained from donkey milk (DM) and cow milk (CM) were compared. It was found that donkey milk …

The reproductive trait of livestock is part of the most important economic traits in animal husbandry. FecB is a major gene for multiplet traits in sheep. However, studies on FecB in lamb are not clear and comprehensive. The 1-month ewe lamb of F1 generation cross between Booroola Merino sheep and Xinji fine wool sheep was superovulated. Transcriptome sequencing was performed on ovarian granulosa cells of the FecB gene wild homozygous type (++ genotype) and FecB gene mutant heterozygous type (B+ genotype). We found 306 DEGs in the ovarian granulosa cells of the two genotype (170 genes more highly in B+ …
