Broadway is booming. In a post-Hamilton world, ticket sales and attendance records for the commercial theatre industry continue to break season after season. At the same time (and perhaps not so coincidentally), litigation against theatre artists, creators, and producers has surged, especially in the realm of copyright infringement. Many theatre professionals accused of infringement in recent years have employed the doctrine of fair use—codified at 17 U.S.C. § 107—as an affirmative defense against such claims. Given the primacy of Florida, and in particular Orlando, as an urban center with an above average rate of AIDS and HIV, this study examines how the outbreak of a deadly disease can affect a community. Complicating the response to this scourge, those who were most at-risk were marginalized groups such as those in the LGBTQ community, drug users, and often people of color. As a result, those who occupied positions of political power felt little incentive to curb the epidemic and mocked it by deeming it "the gay disease." Laura Alcoba’s The Rabbit House (2008), belongs to the cannon of post- dictatorship child survivors—who themselves lived under the precarious life of militancy during Argentina’s Dictatorship (1976-1983). Bodycloth is a term coined to describe a third entity which emerges when the boundaries between body and cloth (as separate elements) collapse. This artistic research thesis analyses a variety of inter-relations between body and cloth, as well as various modes of adornment and utilisations in order to understand the performance, experience, and presence of bodycloth in performance art. This thesis includes a body of artworks including performance, video, photography and audio installation, a zine, and textile artwork, documentation of which is presented via a YouTube channel, also titled Poor Copy. This article analyzes on a new directorial approach to Venice Vanija (เวนิสวาณิช), a Thai version of William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice (written 1596–99) and translated by King Rama vi (r. 1910–1925). It aimed to create a new space and new rules that would encourage Thai audiences to embrace new perspectives by watching the performance. วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่อง การแสดงในงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการแสดงการวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการแสดงในงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช โดยศึกษาข้อมูลด้านการแสดงในงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช ณ วงเวียนใหญ่ ฝั่งธนบุรี วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้ใช้เครื่องมือในการศึกษาวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) สำรวจข้อมูลเชิงเอกสาร 2) สัมภาษณ์ ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและบุคคลอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง 3) อุปกรณ์เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศต่าง ๆ 4) เก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การแสดงที่พบในงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช บริเวณ วงเวียนใหญ่ มีรูปแบบที่หลากหลายและคัดเลือกแสดงที่มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อน้อมรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณต่อสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราช การแสดงแต่ละชุดนั้นมีเรื่องราวสื่อถึงพระราชประวัติของพระองค์ผ่านการแสดง หรือมีเรื่องราวที่เกี่ยวข้องในสมัยธนบุรี โดยแบ่งรูปแบบการแสดงที่พบในงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชที่วงเวียนใหญ่ ปี พ.ศ. 2561 เป็น 2 รูปแบบ ได้แก่ 1) รูปแบบการแสดงละคร เป็นละครอิงประวัติศาสตร์ เกี่ยวกับพระราชประวัติ ตลอดจนจำลองสถานการณ์การกอบกู้อิสรภาพสมัยธนบุรี 2) รูปแบบเบ็ดเตล็ด แบ่งออกเป็น 3 แบบ คือ 2.1 การแสดงมหรสพจีน ได้แก่ การเชิดสิงโต – มังกรทอง และอุปรากรจีน 2.2 การแสดงมหรสพไทย ได้แก่ ระบำ รำ ฟ้อน ศิลปะการต่อสู้ไทย 2.3 การแสดงดนตรีขับร้องประกอบการแสดง โดยมีสำนักงานเขตคลองสานร่วมกับสำนักงานเขตธนบุรีเป็นประธานในการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ อีกทั้งในการจัดงานเทิดพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชยังถือเป็นการร่วมกันอนุรักษ์และสืบสานประเพณีอันดีงามของฝั่งธนบุรีให้คงอยู่ต่อไป

การเล่าเรื่องและการสร้างตัวละครหลักของละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ตามแบบฉบับละครช่อง 7hd, จิดาภา ธนโรจน์

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการเล่าเรื่องและการสร้างตัวละครหลักของละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ตามแบบฉบับละครช่อง 7HD โดยศึกษาละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้จำนวน 5 เรื่อง ซึ่งออกอากาศทางช่อง 7HD ในช่วงเดือนมกราคม พ.ศ. 2562 ถึงเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ. 2563 งานวิจัยนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพทั้งการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาละครและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้ผลิตละคร ได้แก่ ผู้จัดละคร ผู้กำกับการแสดงและผู้เขียนบทละคร ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การเล่าเรื่องของละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ทั้ง 5 เรื่อง ส่วนใหญ่นำเสนอเรื่องราวที่มีแก่นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับความรักและศีลธรรมเป็นหลัก ซึ่งนอกจากความรักของตัวละครหลักแล้วยังนำเสนอเรื่องราวที่สอดคล้องกับความรักความผูกพันภายในครอบครัวด้วย การดำเนินเรื่องราวมีโครงเรื่องไม่ซับซ้อนอาศัยความขัดแย้งระหว่างบุคคล ความขัดแย้งภายในจิตใจเป็นหลัก แต่สำหรับละครบางเรื่องมีการใช้ความขัดแย้งประเภทพลังธรรมชาติและพลังเหนือธรรมชาติเข้ามาผสมผสานด้วย ส่วนมุมมองการเล่าเรื่องอาศัยการเล่าเรื่องแบบผู้รอบรู้เป็นหลักสำคัญตลอดการเล่าเรื่องราวประกอบกับการเล่าเรื่องแบบความทรงจำในอดีตของตัวละครเป็นบางช่วง เพื่อให้การเล่าเรื่องมีความสมบูรณ์มากยิ่งขึ้น การสร้างตัวละครหลัก แต่ละตัวละครจะมีทั้งคุณลักษณะของตัวละคร ได้แก่ ลักษณะทางกายภาพ ประเภทและรายละเอียดของลักษณะนิสัย และเรื่องราวของตัวละคร ได้แก่ สถานภาพ อาชีพ ลักษณะทางสังคม ความเชื่อและทัศนคติ เป้าหมายของตัวละคร ปรากฏให้เห็นแตกต่างกันไปขึ้นอยู่กับเรื่องราวของละคร โดยภาพรวมของตัวละครหลักพบว่า ลักษณะทางกายภาพของตัวละครมีความหลากหลายมากขึ้นอย่างชัดเจน หน้าตาของพระเอกและนางเอกมีทั้งแบบไทยและแบบลูกครึ่งต่างชาติ ส่วนลักษณะนิสัยของตัวละครหลัก พระเอกเป็นคนจิตใจดี สุภาพบุรุษ แสดงออกชัดเจนตรงไปตรงมา รักครอบครัวและรักเดียวใจเดียว นางเอกเป็นคนจิตใจดี ฉลาดทันคน ค่อนข้างเข้มแข็ง มีเหตุผลและแสดงออกชัดเจนตรงไปตรงมาเช่นเดียวกัน ละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ตามแบบฉบับละครช่อง 7HD พบสูตรการสร้างสรรค์ละคร 2 สูตร ได้แก่ สูตรที่ 1 ละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ที่มีสัดส่วนของโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้เป็นหลักและสูตรที่ 2 ละครโทรทัศน์แนวโรแมนติกคอมเมดี้ที่มีส่วนผสมของแนวเรื่องประเภทอื่น โดยความถนัดของผู้กำกับละครแต่ละคนมีผลต่อการสร้างสรรค์ละครแนวนี้และในอนาคตมีแนวโน้มของการสร้างสรรค์บทละครแบบเขียนขึ้นใหม่มากกว่าการใช้เค้าโครงเรื่องเก่า

Clinical Validation Of Expert Consensus Statements For Respiratory Physiotherapy Management Of Invasively Ventilated Adults With Community-Acquired Pneumonia: A Qualitative Study, Lisa Van Der Lee, Anne-Marie Hill, Shane Patman

Objectives: To conduct multidisciplinary peer-review of expert consensus statements for respiratory physiotherapy for invasively ventilated adults with community-acquired pneumonia, to determine clinical acceptability for development into a clinical practice guideline.

Research methodology: A qualitative study was undertaken using focus groups (n = 3) conducted with clinician representatives from five Australian states. Participants were senior intensive care physiotherapists, nurses and consultants. Thematic analysis was used, with a deductive approach to confirm clinical validity, and inductive analysis to identify new themes relevant to the application of the 38 statements into practice.

Many definitions of play and explanations for its existence have been brought forward in various disciplines such as psychology, anthropology, ethology and in the humanities. As an activity apparently serving no other purpose than itself, play can be simply considered a pleasant pastime. Yet its equation with fun has been challenged by artists and scholars alike. The Prospect Hill Yellow Jackets Athletic Club was an important institution in San Antonio’s West Side in the 1960’s. It was a vehicle through which the emerging Mexican American middle-class families integrated and acculturated into the American mainstream. Using images, maps, archival photographs, newspaper articles, obituaries, and oral histories, this project presents evidence on how organized youth sports played a major role in helping shape and define the identity of a Mexican American community in San Antonio and provided the foundation that spawned an engaged generation of achievers.

Diabetes is a recognized risk factor for postoperative infection, acute renal failure, ileus, and lengthy hospital stay. Optimal screening, management, and scheduling of elective surgery for diabetic patients has been shown to improve quality care, decrease complications, and increase the efficiency and lower the costs of preoperative patient care. However, surgery cancellations are common due to inadequate preoperative glycemic control and poor intraoperative glycemic control, which is a recognized risk factor for perioperative or postoperative complications.
