Microbiocenosis Of The Oral Cavity In Children With Inborn Cleft Lip And Palate, Rustam A. Amanullaev, Gairat A. Ikramov, Feruza T. Маkhkamova, Farida H. Yakubova
Central Asian Journal of Medicine
Treatment of children with ARH is one of the most difficult tasks of modern reconstructive surgery of the maxillofacial area. The problem lies not only in the correction of the anatomical defect, but also in the full restoration of the function of the structures of the palatopharyngeal region. The microbiocenosis of the oral cavity is an important indicator of the functional and metabolic activity of the tissues of the oral cavity. The modern stage in the development of dentistry is characterized by the introduction of new effective preventive and diagnostic measures, which has become possible thanks to the discoveries made …
Clinical And Functional Rationale For The Use Of Ispring Dental Gel Based On Ganoderma Lutsidum For The Treatment Of Chronic Catarrhal Gingivitis In Children, F. T. Makhkamova, S. Kh. Alimova
Clinical And Functional Rationale For The Use Of Ispring Dental Gel Based On Ganoderma Lutsidum For The Treatment Of Chronic Catarrhal Gingivitis In Children, F. T. Makhkamova, S. Kh. Alimova
Central Asian Journal of Medicine
This article provides data on the clinical and functional rationale for the use of Ganoderma Lutsidum in the treatment of chronic catarrhal gingivitis in children. It is known that due to the widespread, insufficiently accurate clinical and instrumental diagnosis and treatment tactics, this disease leads to the loss of a significant part of the teeth already at a young age, the presence of foci of chronic infection, impaired function of the masticatory-speech apparatus, which allows us to consider this pathology not only a serious medical, but also an important social problem. This article used a complex of clinical and functional …

Nutritional And Biological Value Of The Water Fortifier “Marjon”, Guli I. Shaykhova, Laziz A. Azimov, Shahzoda A. Zokirkhonova
Central Asian Journal of Medicine
At present, the factor of healthy nutrition is recognized as one of the key components of the general strategy of the WHO, according to which 60% of the causes of death of people are directly related to nutritional problems. The food formula of the 21st century is constantly consuming the products with desired properties (functional food products) and biologically active food additives along with traditional natural food products. The purpose of this work is to study the nutritional and biological values of the water fortifier "Marjon", in order to find the most rational ways to utilize it in human nutrition. …

Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction Faculty Research
The prevalence of cyanobacteria is increasing in freshwaters due to climate change, eutrophication, and their ability to adapt and thrive in changing environmental conditions. In response to various environmental pressures, they produce toxins known as cyanotoxins, which impair water quality significantly. Prolonged human exposure to cyanotoxins, such as microcystins, cylindrospermopsin, saxitoxins, and anatoxin through drinking water can cause severe health effects. Conventional water treatment processes are not effective in removing these cyanotoxins in water and advanced water treatment processes are often used instead. Among the advanced water treatment methods, adsorption is advantageous compared to other methods because of its affordability …

Neuroendocrine prostate cancer (NEPC) is a more aggressive subtype of castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Although it is well established that PHF8 can enhance prostate cancer cell proliferation, whether PHF8 is involved in prostate cancer initiation and progression is relatively unclear. By comparing the transgenic adenocarcinoma of the mouse prostate (TRAMP) mice with or without Phf8 knockout, we systemically examined the role of PHF8 in prostate cancer development. We found that PHF8 plays a minimum role in initiation and progression of adenocarcinoma. However, PHF8 is essential for NEPC because not only is PHF8 highly expressed in NEPC but also animals without …

UNESCO 2030 (UNESCO, 2015) sustainable development goal 4 highlights the need for inclusive educational practices in order to dismantle the present exclusionary practices in education. These goals are designed to ensure that by 2030, benchmarks are met requiring all children with diverse socio- economic, race and gender backgrounds receive an equitable and quality education. To meet the needs for inclusive educational practices two areas in education are under consideration: teacher training and curriculum development and implementation. This presentation will highlight the work by two professors working with their students to promote an inclusive social justice education and curricula framework.

Pathways To Stem Careers – Preliminary Findings Of A Possible Selves Intervention, Andrea Dawn Frazier
Pathways To Stem Careers – Preliminary Findings Of A Possible Selves Intervention, Andrea Dawn Frazier
Georgia Educational Research Association Conference
Riegle-Crumb, King, and Irizarry (2019) indicate that African-American, LatinX, and White college first-year students declare an interest in STEM fields at roughly equivalent rates but African American and Latinx students are less likely to persist in attaining STEM degrees. Oyserman et al. (2011) further contextualize this discrepancy by noting that students might need help in implementing pathways from aspirations to academic outcomes. A multi-year intervention aimed at supporting undergraduate African American and Latinx students in STEM seeks to usher students along pathways towards STEM degrees by encouraging development of a community of practice and engagement in practical, concrete experiences that …

Teach Us How: Love, Relationships, Resistance, Aarron Booker
McNair Research Journal SJSU
The purpose of this conceptual paper is to examine Black love in the historical, contemporary cultural, and political context. The goal of this paper is to illustrate the importance of choosing love as a means of resistance and as a practice for teaching transdisciplinary praxis. Historically, scholarship conducted on Black love did not incorporate the multidimensionality that blackness spans. It placed a focus on the relationships between Black males and females through a sociocultural lens examining factors such as Black male viability, Black male scarcity, and the impact systemic structures have on Black males. This emphasis placed on the Black …

© 2020 by the authors. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a biologically active, non-psychotropic component of Cannabis sativa whose popularity has grown exponentially in recent years. Besides a wealth of potential health benefits, ingestion of CBD poses risks for a number of side effects, of which hepatotoxicity and CBD/herb-drug interactions are of particular concern. Here, we investigated the interaction potential between the cannabidiol-rich cannabis extract (CRCE) and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), a popular dietary supplement, in the mouse model. For this purpose, 8-week-old male C57BL6/J mice received MSM-containing water (80 mg/100 mL) ad libitum for 17 days. During the last three days of treatment, …
