Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is widely used as a plasticizer in various products such as PVC-derived plastics, toys, packaging materials, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. This study aimed to investigate the effect of DEHP on spontaneous contractions of the feline uterus in vitro. In the present study, a total of 30 M. cephalus captured from the Samsun coast of the Black Sea, Turkey were examined for myxozoa infections. Different sizes of whitish and rounded cyst-like plasmodia were macroscopically detected in the liver and intestine wall of M. cephalus. Morphological and histological examinations were performed. The SSU rDNA was amplified using nested PCR and myxosporean-specific primers. The present Myxobolus species was identified as M. spinacurvatura based on the spore morphology and host/organ specificity. The aim of this study is the development of a coagglutination test for rapid diagnosis of infectious pancreatic necrosis (IPN) virus which causes an acute infectious viral disease with high mortality in young salmonid fish. Serotypes Sp, Ab, WB of the IPNV were cultivated in BF-2 cells and purified by linear sucrose density gradient centrifugation. Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) infection in camel requires extensive research, particularly the immune responses in the intestine. This study aimed to investigate the nature of the cellular populations that are driven by the immunopathological responses in the camel intestine infected with MAP at different ages. This study was conducted to determine the ultrasonographic features of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, and urinary bladder of 24 apparently healthy male and female long-tailed macaques (LTM) and the correlations of organ measurements with body weight and crown?rump length. The animals were grouped into 12 males and 12 females. Examination was performed in sedated LTM using an ultrasound machine with 6.0 MHz microconvex scanner. The productive performance and egg quality traits of hens in an organic production system in Turkey were executed in this paper. A total of 6000 hens were reared in an organic system for 72 weeks. Two organic certified houses each with a capacity of 3000 hens were used in the study. Mean egg production during the laying period was 303 eggs per hen. Laying rate was 80.24% for 72 weeks, while mortality was 8.85%. The internal and external egg quality traits were determined between 25 and 72 weeks. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of mount, year, region, and herd size on the bulk tank somatic cell count (SCC) and standard plate count (SPC) and total milk production of Holstein Friesian cows and to decide for optimum herd size in Northern Cyprus. The total number of cattle was 64,450 heads and the number of enterprises was 168 in 2016. The milk samples were collected once or twice a month from each herd. In the present study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of lactation status, days in milk (DIM), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) dose, and repeated superstimulations on superovulation response and embryo yield in Simmental cattle. This study was performed to evaluate the oxidative stress in calves with enzootic pneumonia. Ninety calves that were 2?6 months old were used in this study. Ten of these calves were healthy and used as the control group, while 80 were diagnosed with enzootic pneumonia according to the clinical examinations. The biochemical results showed that total oxidant status (TOS), nitric oxide (NO), malondialdehyde (MDA), and sialic acid (SA) levels were higher in calves with enzootic pneumonia than in the control group. The aim of this study was to obtain morphometric data by applying geometric analysis to the neurocranium of the turkey and to statistically reveal the differences between males and females using these data.
