Group-Affirmation And Trust In International Relations: Evidence From Ukraine, Eunbin Chung, Anna O. Pechenkina
Group-Affirmation And Trust In International Relations: Evidence From Ukraine, Eunbin Chung, Anna O. Pechenkina
Political Science Faculty Publications
How can states with a history of recent armed conflict trust one another? Distrust between Ukraine and Russia aggravates security fears and limits hopes for a meaningful resolution of the bloodiest armed conflict in Europe since 1994. Hostility levels have risen dramatically between the populations of Ukraine and Russia after the events of 2013–2015. Political psychology offers two competing approaches to increase trust between the publics of different countries: appealing to an overarching, common identity above the national level vs. affirming a sense of national identity. This project asks which of these approaches increases trust towards Russia among the Ukrainian …

REID (Research and Evaluation in Education)
This study aims to examine the influence of Simplified Data Encryption System (SDES) simulation on student learning outcomes in Cryptography lessons. The research employed a quasi-experiment. Data analysis to test the SDES simulation model was performed using ANOVA 2x2. The U-Mann Whitney Test was chosen to examine differences in student learning outcomes of treatment groups and control groups, while the effectiveness of the media is determined by differences in student learning outcomes between the pre-test and post-test results in the two groups. The test results show that: (1) There is a difference between the treatment group and control group, indicated …

Comparing Item Parameter Estimates And Fit Statistics Of The Rasch Model From Three Different Traditions, Bahrul Hayat, Muhammad Dwirifqi Kharisma Putra, Bambang Suryadi
Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan
Rasch model is a method that has a long history in its application in the fields of social and behavioral sciences, including educational measurement. Under certain circumstances, Rasch models are known as a special case of Item response theory (IRT), while IRT is equivalent to the Item Factor Analysis (IFA) models as a special case of Structural Equation Models (SEM), although there are other 'tradition' that consider Rasch measurement models not part of both. In this study, a simulation study was conducted using simulated data to explain how the interrelationships between the Rasch model as a constraint version of 2-parameter …

Introduction. Improved survival of breast cancer patients are not necessarily followed by improvement of quality of life. According to the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), cancer patients’ quality of life are very important to be evaluated. In Indonesia, breast cancer patients cannot be assessed their quality of life accurately because there is no valid and reliable questionnaire. This study aims to prove that the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-Breast 23 (EORTC QLQ-BR23) is a valid and reliable measuring instrument to be used in Indonesia. Methods. This study was a …
