ผลของการฝึกพิลาทีสที่มีต่อสมรรถภาพปอดและอาการในผู้ป่วยโรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้, บุลิน จิระพงษธร

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการฝึกพิลาทีสที่มีต่อสมรรถภาพปอดและอาการในผู้ป่วยโรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ป่วยโรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ อายุระหว่าง 18 - 45 ปี จำนวน 20 คน แบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ กลุ่มควบคุม ใช้ชีวิตประจำวันตามปกติ ไม่ได้รับการฝึกใด ๆ จำนวน 9 คน และกลุ่มทดลอง ได้รับการฝึกพิลาทีส 60 นาที/ครั้ง 3 ครั้ง/สัปดาห์ เป็นเวลา 10 สัปดาห์ จำนวน 11 คน โดยก่อนและหลังการทดลองผู้วิจัยทำการทดสอบตัวแปรด้านสรีรวิทยา ตัวแปรด้านสมรรถภาพปอด ตัวแปรด้านความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อหายใจ และตัวแปรด้านความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อแกนกลางลำตัว นำค่าที่ได้มาวิเคราะห์ผลทางสถิติ โดยวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างระหว่างก่อนและหลังการทดลอง โดยการทดสอบค่าทีแบบรายคู่ (Paired-t test) ที่ระดับความมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 และตัวแปรด้านอาการของโรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ นำค่ามาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลก่อนการทดลองและหลังการทดลองของแต่ละกลุ่มการทดลองโดยใช้สถิติวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบวัดซ้ำ (Repeated measured ANOVA) ที่ระดับความมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 ส่วนของการวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างระหว่างกลุ่ม โดยการทดสอบค่าทีแบบอิสระ (Independent-t test) ที่ระดับความมีนัยสำคัญที่ .05 และวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ตัวแปรด้านสมรรถภาพปอด ตัวแปรด้านความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อหายใจ และความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อแกนกลางลำตัวที่แตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ด้วยการวิเคราะห์สหสัมพันธ์แบบสเปียร์แมน (Spearman's rank correlation)ที่ระดับความมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 ผลการวิจัยพบว่า หลังการทดลอง 10 สัปดาห์ กลุ่มฝึกพิลาทีสมีค่าเฉลี่ยตัวแปรด้านสมรรถภาพปอด ได้แก่ ค่าปริมาตรสูงสุดของอากาศที่หายใจออกอย่างเร็วและแรงเต็มที่ ค่าปริมาตรของอากาศที่ถูกขับออกในวินาทีแรกของการหายใจออกอย่างเร็วและแรงเต็มที่ ค่าปริมาตรของอากาศจากการหายใจเข้า - ออกเต็มที่ในเวลา 1 นาทีเพิ่มขึ้นแตกต่างกับก่อนการทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และมีค่าเฉลี่ยตัวแปรด้านอาการของโรคจมูกอักเสบจากภูมิแพ้ ได้แก่ อาการคัดจมูก อาการคันจมูก อาการจาม อาการน้ำมูกไหล อาการโดยรวม และการไหลของเลือดในโพรงจมูกลดลงแตกต่างกับก่อนการทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และมีปริมาตรการไหลของอากาศสูงสุดในโพรงจมูกเพิ่มขึ้น แตกต่างกับก่อนการทดลอง อีกทั้ง กลุ่มฝึกพิลาทีสมีการเพิ่มขึ้นของค่าเฉลี่ยตัวแปรด้านความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อหายใจ ได้แก่ ค่าแรงดันการหายใจเข้าสูงสุด และค่าแรงดันการหายใจออกสูงสุด แตกต่างกับก่อนการทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และมีค่าเฉลี่ยตัวแปรด้านความแข็งแรงของกล้ามเนื้อแกนกลางลำตัว ได้แก่ …

วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมสุขภาพของนิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานคร และเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมสุขภาพของนิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานคร จำแนกตามตัวแปร เพศ และชั้นปีการศึกษา วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ โดยทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น แบ่งเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป และแบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมสุขภาพ ทั้ง 4 ด้าน มีข้อคำถามทั้งหมด 62 ข้อ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ นิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยที่เป็นคนไทยในกรุงเทพมหานครที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับปริญญาตรี จำนวน 480 คน การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน สถิติทดสอบที และสถิติทดสอบเอฟ ผลการวิจัย 1) นิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานครมีพฤติกรรมการบริโภคอาหารอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง พฤติกรรมการออกกำลังกายอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง พฤติกรรมความเครียดอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และพฤติกรรมการดื่มเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์อยู่ในระดับดี 2) นิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานคร เพศชายมีพฤติกรรมการออกกำลังกายดีกว่าเพศหญิงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ส่วนนิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานคร เพศหญิงมีพฤติกรรมการดื่มเครื่องดื่มที่มีแอลกอฮอล์ดีกว่าเพศชายอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 ส่วนตัวแปรชั้นปีการศึกษา พบว่า นิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานครที่มีชั้นปีการศึกษาต่างกัน มีพฤติกรรมสุขภาพทั้ง 4 ด้าน ไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ สรุปผลการวิจัย นิสิตนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในกรุงเทพมหานครมีพฤติกรรมการบริโภคอาหาร พฤติกรรมการออกกำลังกาย และพฤติกรรมความเครียดอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง แต่พฤติกรรมการดื่มเครื่องดื่มแอลกอฮอล์อยู่ในระดับดี

สิ่งมีชีวิตหลายชนิดในทะเลสร้างและหลั่งเมือกเพื่อใช้ในกิจกรรมการดำรงชีวิตและกระบวนการทางสรีระอย่างหลากหลาย เช่น การเคลื่อนที่ การป้องกันตัว และการหาอาหาร กล่าวได้ว่าเมือกมีความสำคัญต่อกิจกรรมการดำรงชีวิตของสิ่งมีชีวิตหลายชนิด โดยเฉพาะกับมอลลัสก์ เมือกจากมอลลัสก์นอกจากถูกใช้ในกิจกรรมการดำรงชีวิตของตัวมอลลัสก์เองแล้ว ยังมีประโยชน์ต่อสังคมสิ่งมีชีวิตในระบบนิเวศโดยรอบด้วย การศึกษานี้จึงมุ่งเน้นศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางชีวเคมีของเมือกจากทากทะเล Onchidium และผลของเมือกจากทากทะเลต่ออัตราการเติบโตของเบนทิคไดอะตอม เมือกจากทากทะเล Onchidium ถูกเจือจางความเข้มข้นแบ่งเป็น 100% 75% 50% และ 25% ในน้ำทะเลเพื่อศึกษาความเข้มข้นที่เหมาะสมในการเพาะเลี้ยงเบนทิคไดอะตอม นอกจากนี้เมือกจากทากทะเลอีกส่วนถูกบ่มในชุดจำลองน้ำขึ้น-น้ำลงเป็นเวลา 0 1 2 4 และ 8 รอบน้ำขึ้น-น้ำลง ก่อนนำไปเพาะเลี้ยงเบนทิคไดอะตอม 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ Navicula sp., Nitzschia sp., และ Thalassiosira sp. ผลการศึกษาพบว่าองค์ประกอบชีวเคมีของเมือกจากทากทะเล Onchidium มีส่วนประกอบหลักคือ น้ำ (82.5%) และองค์ประกอบอินทรียสารประกอบด้วย โปรตีน (40%) คาร์โบไฮเดรต (13.33%) และไขมัน (0.19%) ผลของเมือกจากทากทะเลต่ออัตราการเจริญเติบโตของเบนทิคไดอะตอมมีความแตกต่างกันในแต่ละสภาพของเมือกและชนิดพันธุ์ของเบนทิคไดอะตอม เมือกที่หลั่งใหม่และเมือกที่เข้มข้นยับยั้งและลดการเติบโตของ Navicula sp. และ Nitzschia sp. ในขณะที่เมือกที่เจือจางและมีอายุมากเพิ่มอัตราการเจริญเติบโตของเบนทิคไดอะตอมทั้งสองชนิด อย่างไรก็ตามเมือกจากทากทะเลไม่ส่งผลต่ออัตราการเติบโตของ Thalassiosira sp. ในทุกสภาพของเมือก กล่าวได้ว่าทากทะเล Onchidium อาจมีส่วนสำคัญต่อโครงสร้างชุมชนระบบนิเวศชายฝั่งทำหน้าที่เป็น intertidal ecosystem engineer ที่ส่งเสริมการลงเกาะและเจริญเติบโตของชุมชนเบนทิคไดอะตอม

This study aimed to investigate the effect of selected fibres on pasting as well as short-term and long-term retrogradation of starch in wheat flour and to investigate the quality of fibre-added white pan breads. Two soluble fibres, tara gum (TG) and k-carrageenan (CAR), and one insoluble fibre, cellulose (CEL), were added to wheat flour at different levels (1.0, 1.5 and 2.0%). Regarding pasting behaviour, addition of soluble fibres was found to cause an increase in peak, trough, breakdown, and final viscosity. Chitosan (CTS) has been widely applied as a fruit coating in commercial fruit crops to prolong their shelf-life. In the present research, chitosan coatings were applied on ‘Hom Thong’ banana fruit, an important exported cultivar of Thailand. Postharvest qualities of ‘Hom Thong’ banana were measured after coating with 1% (w/v) low molecular weight (LMW-CTS: 65 kDa), medium molecular weight (MMW-CTS: 265 kDa), and high molecular weight (HMW-CTS: 540 kDa) chitosan for 1 min. Some chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps patients undergoing endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) have unfavorable results despite proper postoperative treatments including oral and topical steroids. Steroid-impregnated absorbable nasal dressing has been shown to improve outcomes of the surgery. In some clinical practices, budesonide-impregnated nasal dressing is used together with perioperative oral steroid but the additional benefits of it are still unknown. Polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid (poly(I:C)) have been approved by FDA as a promising adjuvant candidate for the TLR3 (Toll-Like Receptor 3) activation. Anti-RANKL monoclonal antibody is a fully human monoclonal antibody (mAb) available for treatment of osteoporosis. In this study, anti-RANKL mAb was transiently expressed using the Geminiviral expression system in Nicotiana benthamiana. Moreover, the structure of plant-produced mAb was characterized and functional activity was also determined. The result indicated that anti-RANKL mAb was produced with the maximum expression level on 8 days post infiltration and estimated to be 0.5 mg/g leaf fresh weight. This work was divided into three study phases: the two-phase randomized controlled clinical trials and proteomics study. First, the phase I clinical trial aimed to determine efficacy and safety of mulberry leaves on postprandial glucose following the 50-g sucrose ingestion in healthy nondiabetic adults and to explore the optimal administered dose of 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ), the major antihyperglycemic compound of mulberry leaves. The results showed the alleviation of postprandial hyperglycemia by mulberry leaves in a dose-dependent fashion. Adverse effects of mulberry leaves included bloating and flatulence, loose stool, and nausea. In addition, 12 mg of DNJ was considered the optimal dose …

Dental caries are common oral diseases in schoolchildren. This retrospective cohort analysis was done to assess caries prevalence, risk and protective factors associated permanent caries among 433 children profiles of school children in selected primary school in Bangkok who received or did not receive a preventive program. Additionally, a cost effectiveness of the program was analyzed. Result revealed that there was high caries prevalence in deciduous teeth (1st grade) 87.2% and mean dmft 6.44 (± 4.4) and caries prevalence in permanent teeth (6th grade) 51.7% and mean DMFT 1.37 (± 1.84). Carbohydrate is a major composition in oral nutrition supplement. Modification of carbohydrate composition using tapioca resistant maltodextrin (TRM) may improve the glycemic response. This study aimed to investigate the effect of TRM and TRM containing-ONS on glycemic response, satiety, and gastrointestinal (GI) tolerability in healthy individuals. Physicochemical properties and sensory evaluation of developed ONS were also investigated. In Phase I, the peak of plasma glucose and insulin response after TRM (50 g) ingestion was lowest compared to 50 g glucose (GL) and tapioca maltodextrin (TM) in 16 healthy participants.
