Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah untuk mengungkap secara komprehensif karakteristik psiko-logis atlet atletik PPLP Papua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian seluruh atlet atletik yang tergabung dalam PPLP Provinsi Papua berjumlah 20 (12 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan). Atlet junior tersebut berada pada tingkat sekolah SMP dan SMA (17 SMA dan 3 SMP) dengan rentang usia 13-18 tahun ( = 16,6; s = 1,27). Upaya pencegahan masalah berat badan berlebih menjadi fokus utama saat ini berdasarkan peningkatan resiko kesehatan akibat overweight dan obesitas, teruatama pada anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi penyebab kenaikan berat badan pada anak usia dini dengan metode penelitian cross sectional. Jumlah subjek penelitian terdiri dari enam puluh enam anak. Teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah analisis multivariat. Hasil penelitian menujukkan terdapat hubungan bermakna (p < 0.05) antara variabel varian terhadap kenaikan berat pada anak usia dini. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa faktor rendahnya aktivitas fisik, genetik dari orang tua dan pola makan berhubungan terhadap kenaikan berat badan pada anak usia dini.

The leaves of P. scutellaria were previously studied as an antimicrobial agent. Nonetheless, this theory of antifungal activity has never been scientifically verified. This study aimed to evaluate the antifungal activity of P. scutellaria against Candida albicans. The leaves of P. scutellaria were macerated using an ethanol solvent.
