The Calculation Of Total Fragment Excitation Energy For Photofission Of Uranium Isotopes, Mojtaba Jamiati, Payam Mehdipour Kaldiani
The Calculation Of Total Fragment Excitation Energy For Photofission Of Uranium Isotopes, Mojtaba Jamiati, Payam Mehdipour Kaldiani
Turkish Journal of Physics
The total excitation energy as a function of fragment mass (TXE/A) are calculated for neutron induced fission of $^{235}$U and photofission of $^{238}$U by using the statistical model. With comparing the calculated results and the experimental data, the statistical model is modified. In new modified model, TXE are calculated by adding the neutron binding energy to the deformation energy. The calculated results using modified statistical model are in good agreement with the experimental data. Then, the total excitation energy as a function of fragment mass (TXE/A) are evaluated for photofission of Uranium isotopes.

Gup Effects On Hawking Temperature In Riemann Space-Time, Yumnam Kenedy Meitei, Telem Ibungochouba Singh, Irom Ablu Meitei
Turkish Journal of Physics
In this paper, the modified Hawking temperature of a static Riemann space-time is studied using the generalized Klein-Gordon equation and the generalized Dirac equation. Applying the Kerner-Mann quantum tunneling method, the modified Hawking temperatures for scalar particles and fermions that cross the event horizon of the black hole have been derived. We observe that the quantum gravity effects reduce the rise of thermal radiation temperature of the black hole.
Network Dynamics Reconstruction From Data, Deni̇z Eroğlu
Network Dynamics Reconstruction From Data, Deni̇z Eroğlu
Turkish Journal of Physics
We consider the problem of recovering the model of a complex network of interacting dynamical units from time series of observations. We focus on typical networks which exhibit heterogeneous degrees, i.e. where the number of connections varies widely across the network, and the coupling strength for a single interaction is small. In these networks, the behavior of each unit varies according to their connectivity. Under these mild assumptions, our method provides an effective network reconstruction of the network dynamics. The method is robust to a certain size of noise and only requires relatively short time series on the state variable …

Investigating Above-Bandgap And Below-Bandgap Optical Transition In Gabias Epilayers By Photoreflectance Spectroscopy, Ömer Dönmez, Ayşe Erol
Turkish Journal of Physics
We present optical identification of deep level defects in as-grown and annealed GaBixAs$_{1-x}$ (x $=$ 0, 0.013 and 0.015) alloys grown at different temperatures (220 \textdegree C and 320 \textdegree C) by using photo-modulated reflectance (PR) spectroscopy and photoluminescence (PL). The PR measurements are employed at above- and below-bandgap excitations, and the PR line-shape is analyzed by the third derivative functional form (TDFF). The PR at below-bandgap excitation reveals transitions at 0.757 \textpm 0.001 eV and 0.710 \textpm 0.002 eV at 30K and 300K, respectively. Franz-Keldysh oscillations are observed in all samples under above-bandgap excitation at PR measurements, and the …

Quantum Thermodynamics And Quantum Coherence Engines, Asli Tuncer Özdemi̇r, Özgür Esat Müstecaplioğlu
Turkish Journal of Physics
The advantages of quantum effects in several technologies, such as computation and communication, have already been well appreciated. Some devices, such as quantum computers and communication links, exhibiting superiority to their classical counterparts, have been demonstrated. The close relationship between information and energy motivates us to explore if similar quantum benefits can be found in energy technologies. Investigation of performance limits for a broader class of information-energy machines is the subject of the rapidly emerging field of quantum thermodynamics. Extension of classical thermodynamical laws to the quantum realm is far from trivial. This short review presents some of the recent efforts in this …

Unraveling Energy Consumption By Using Low-Cost And Reevaluated Thermoelectric Thin Films, Gi̇zem Durak Yüzüak, Seray Özkan, Ercüment Yüzüak
Turkish Journal of Physics
Energy is undoubtedly one of our most important demands whose consumption is constantly increasing and will continue to increase soon. One of the most important factors in attaining the required energy is to provide high efficiency at a low cost with the help of new technological improvements by evaluating wastes. Energy demand could be achieved for a relatively large thermoelectric power value by recycling the Peltier modules from waste ones and adjusting their properties with nanotechnology. For this aim, thermoelectric thin film modules were grown on silicon (Si), glass, and Kapton substrates with thermal evaporation method by using two different …
Weak Deflection Angle Of Black-Bounce Traversable Wormholes Using Gauss-Bonnet Theorem In The Dark Matter Medium, Ali Övgün
Turkish Journal of Physics
Inthispaper, wefirstusetheopticalmetricsofblack-bouncetraversablewormholestocalculatetheGaussian curvature. Then we use the Gauss-Bonnet theorem to obtain the weak deflection angle of light from the black-bounce traversable wormholes. We investigate the effect of dark matter medium on weak deflection angle using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem. We show how weak deflection angle of wormhole is affected by the bounce parameter a. Using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem for calculating weak deflection angle shows us that light bending can be thought as a global and topological effect.
Transfer Matrix In Scattering Theory: A Survey Of Basic Properties And Recent Developments, Ali̇ Mostafazadeh
Transfer Matrix In Scattering Theory: A Survey Of Basic Properties And Recent Developments, Ali̇ Mostafazadeh
Turkish Journal of Physics
We give a pedagogical introduction to time-independent scattering theory in one dimension focusing on the basic properties and recent applications of transfer matrices. In particular, we begin surveying some basic notions of potential scattering such as transfer matrix and its analyticity, multidelta-function and locally periodic potentials, Jost solutions, spectral singularities and their time-reversal, and unidirectional reflectionlessness and invisibility. We then offer a simple derivation of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation and the Born series, and discuss the Born approximation. Next, we outline a recently developed dynamical formulation of time-independent scattering theory in one dimension. This formulation relates the transfer matrix and therefore …
Optimization Of Collection Optics For Maximum Fidelity In Entangled Photon Sources, Kadi̇r Durak
Optimization Of Collection Optics For Maximum Fidelity In Entangled Photon Sources, Kadi̇r Durak
Turkish Journal of Physics
In this report, decoherence sources for entangled photons created by spontaneous parametricdown-conversion phenomenon are studied. The phase and spatial distinguishability of photon pairs from orthogonal crystals reduce the maximum achievable entanglement fidelity. Carefully chosen compensation crystals are used to erase the phase and spatial traces of down-conversion origins. Emission angle of photon pairs also leads to optical path difference and results in phase distinguishability. A realistic scenario is numerically modelled, where the photon pairs with nonzero emission angle gather a phase difference. These pairs can still be collected and manipulated for practical use but the collection optics adds upon the phase …

Tuning The Magnetic Field Sensitivity Of Planar Hall Effect Sensors By Using A Cr Spacer Layer In A Nife/Cr/Irmn Trilayer Structure, Hasan Pi̇şki̇n, Numan Akdoğan
Turkish Journal of Physics
Planar Hall effect (PHE)-based magnetic field sensors have recently received considerable attention due to their fascinating properties. For the NiFe/spacer/IrMn trilayer PHE sensor structures, tuning the exchange bias via a spacer layer is very crucial due to its direct effects on the sensor's magnetic field sensitivity. Here the effect of Cr spacer layer thickness on PHE sensitivity and exchange bias is investigated in NiFe (10 nm)/Cr (t$_{Cr})$/IrMn (20 nm) trilayer structures where the t$_{Cr}$ varied between 0.0 nm and 1 nm with a step of 0.1 nm. As the t$_{Cr}$ increased, we observed a fast decrease in exchange bias field. …

Quantum Gravity Correction To The Thermodynamic Quantities Of The Charged Drgt Black Hole, Gani̇m Geçi̇m
Turkish Journal of Physics
In this study, in the framework of the Hamilton approach, the quantum gravity effect on Hawking temperature, on the specific heat capacity, and on the stability conditions of the charged de Rham, Gabadadze, and Tolley (dRGT) black hole are investigated by using the tunneling processes of both charged massive scalar and Dirac particles. It is shown that quantum corrected Hawking temperature depends not only on the black hole properties but also on the properties of the tunnelling particles. It is also observed that quantum corrected Hawking temperature is lower than that of the standard Hawking temperature. Also, the specific heat …

© 2020 by the authors. Licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland. Oxidative stress-induced neuroinflammation is the prominent feature of neurodegenerative disorders, and is characterized by a gradual decline of structure and function of neurons. Many biochemical events emerge thanks to the result of this neurodegeneration, and ultimately provoke neuroinflammation, activation of microglia, and oxidative stress, leading to neuronal death. This cascade not only explains the complexity of events taking place across different stages, but also depicts the need for more effective therapeutic agents. The present study was designed to investigate the neuroprotective effects of newly synthesized benzimidazole containing acetamide derivatives, 3a (2-(4-methoxyanilino)-N-[1-(4-methylbenzene-1-sulfonyl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl] …

Copyright © 2020 Shahzad Ashraf et al. Due to unavoidable environmental factors, wireless sensor networks are facing numerous tribulations regarding network coverage. These arose due to the uncouth deployment of the sensor nodes in the wireless coverage area that ultimately degrades the performance and confines the coverage range. In order to enhance the network coverage range, an instance (node) redeployment-based Bodacious-instance Coverage Mechanism (BiCM) is proposed. The proposed mechanism creates new instance positions in the coverage area. It operates in two stages; in the first stage, it locates the intended instance position through the Dissimilitude Enhancement Scheme (DES) and moves …

© 2013 IEEE. Recent studies have demonstrated that most commercial facial analysis systems are biased against certain categories of race, ethnicity, culture, age and gender. The bias can be traced in some cases to the algorithms used and in other cases to insufficient training of algorithms, while in still other cases bias can be traced to insufficient databases. To date, no comprehensive literature review exists which systematically investigates bias and discrimination in the currently available facial analysis software. To address the gap, this study conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) in which the context of facial analysis system bias is …
