Teachers Talking In Very Young Learners Immersion Class: How They Did It, Farouq Aji Subroto, Yazid Basthomi, Utari Praba Astuti

This research aimed to describe the language used by the teachers namely teacher talk in VYL English Immersion class whose students’ age ranges from three to six years old and to describe how the language was used effectively in the class. The results showed that there were four types of teacher talk used frequently to help the teachers teach effectively in the class namely (1) giving directions, (2) giving information, (3) asking questions, and (4) praising and encouraging. Those four talks did not work alone in the class; the teachers also use gesture and demonstration to accompany the talks.

This study aimed to explore the experiences of public junior high school English teachers in Malang in conducting classroom action research in terms of the factors that contribute to their success in conducting action research. The main data of this study were collected through individual semi-structured interviews administered to 3 public junior high school English teachers in Malang, Indonesia. The maritime industry has witnessed transformational changes due to the structural developments in the competitive landscape among maritime stakeholders. These trends lead to cooperation between ports, particularly those sharing common hinterland. The article focuses on worker representative cooperation in management bodies and works councils in selected Slovenian companies, their mutual communication and degree of management inclusion activity in such processes. Multiplicative and additive noises are often introduced in image signals during the image acquisition process and result into degradation of image features. The work done by Perona and Malik in 1990 and its modified versions revolutionized the way through which noises or speckles are removed. The Perona-Malik model requires tuning of the regularization parameter to control and prevent staircase artifacts in restored images. Fermentability Of Concentrated Sulfuric Acid Hydrolyzates From Aspenwood And Pinewood, Kando Janga

The fermentability of hydrolyzates derived from two-stage concentrated sulfuric acid hydrolysis of Trembling aspen (Populus tremula) and Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) were investigated. Three types of hydrolyzates were produced at mild, moderate and high decrystallization severity conditions. Portions of each of the original hydrolyzates were concentrated by vacuum evaporation to increase the sugar fraction to simulate industrial applications. Both sets of hydrolyzates were fermented anaerobically using Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 96581. After 23 hours of fermentation, complete glucose consumption was observed for all the original hydrolyzates, with no signs of inhibition. The study explores whether blockchain technology can change the paradigm of the current financial structure and the balance of power in the international financial system. Accordingly, this study reviews the development of blockchain technology by analyzing China and Venezuela, both of which struggle to harness their technological advancement and to enhance their power in the international realm. We found that Venezuela invests in blockchain technology to create an alternative payment structure for survivability, while China’s desire is to become a global leader in global blockchain technology.

This study aimed to examine the effect of positive and negative feedback on budgetary slack and the interaction between feedback and self-efficacy on budgetary slack under a condition of information asymmetry. Preliminary researches have tested various ways of mitigating budgetary slack practices, which did not separate the effects of positive and negative feedback. This study hypothesized that positive feedback minimizes the potential for budgetary slack under conditions of information asymmetry—and vice versa. Objectives To establish the feasibility of a definitive randomised controlled trial of Systemic Autism-related Family Enabling (SAFE), an intervention for families of children with autism. Design A randomised, controlled, multicentred feasibility study. Setting Participants were identified from three National Health Service (NHS) diagnosing centres in Plymouth and Cornwall and a community pathway.Participants34 families of a child with a diagnosis of autism severity level 1 or 2 between 3 and 16 years. Convergence insufficiency (CI) is a binocular vision dysfunction in which the person has difficulty maintaining a sustained fixation on an object in the near field of view. This condition is present in about 5% of the general population and with a greater prevalence in patients with traumatic brain injury or attentional deficit hyperactivity disorder. One therapeutic intervention for CI is Office-Based Vergence and Accommodative therapy (OBVAT) which is successful in about 75% of the pediatric and young adult population. However, the fast increase in ad-blocker usage impacts publishers' ad revenue and the ad-supported free web. Faced with this problem, many online publishers choose either to cooperate with ad-blocker software companies to show acceptable ads or to build a wall that requires users to whitelist (i.e., turn off ad-blockers) for content access. A system comprised of software and on-site measurements is presented for accurately obtaining water stage data from vented or non-vented submersible pressure sensors installed at autonomous stream gauging stations. The system accounts for pressure sensor offset errors, water density, and local gravitational acceleration to produce a stage height reading which is accurate to either ±0.01 ft (±3 mm) or to the accuracy limit of the sensor, whichever is greater. A 2nd order polynomial expression for determination of water density from temperature and salinity is developed and found to be sufficiently accurate for this purpose. This research aims to analyse the impact of quarrying on the health and perception of neighbouring communities. A standard questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data from quarry neighbours in a residential neighbourhood located in the city of Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Residences were distributed based on proximity to a quarrying company, resulting in three distances divided by three equally distant radii, named as Area I (closest to the quarrying company at 630 m), Area II (730 m), and Area III (farthest from the quarrying company at 830 m). At the end of 2015, the government of Jakarta declared a river normalization program to widen both banks of the Ciliwung River and increase its channel capacity. Approximately 15 meters of inspection road was to be constructed immediately. To avoid eviction, 223 households in Kampung Anak Kali (KAKC) reduced their domestic spaces by shearing five meters off their houses, forcing them to allocate less space for daily activities, including cooking, bathing, and washing.
