A Comparison Of Emotion Regulation Strategies’ Effectiveness Under Cognitive Fatigue, Sirinapa Churassamee

This research compared the effectiveness of three emotion regulation strategies including reappraisal, distraction, and affect labeling under cognitive fatigue. In the 2 (fatigue vs. non-fatigue) × 3 (emotion regulation strategies) within-subject design, 46 participants were randomly assigned into conditions using an incomplete block design method. Self-report negative emotions and skin conductance responses to emotion-eliciting pictures were measured to compare the effectiveness of the strategies. Results showed that reappraisal was more effective in regulating negative emotions than distraction and affect labeling in both fatigue and non-fatigue conditions. Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is an established subsidy for both mothers and infants but unfortunately the rate of breastfeeding among adolescent mothers is lowest worldwide. In Myanmar, lack of study was reported on alcohol consumption, substance use and sexual risk behavior among men who have sex with men (MSM) and current study was conducted to identify patterns of alcohol consumption, substance use and sexual risk behavior among MSM in Yangon and Mandalay, Myanmar. Exposure to pollutants emitted from burning cooking fuels poses a considerable risk for human health including preeclampsia through systemic inflammation process for which carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) is an important surrogate arthrosclerosis biomarker. A cross-sectional study was performed for household survey using a questionnaire with a face-to-face interview to determine the general characteristics and water consumptions during flooding events in flood-prone communities, Pak Phanang and Chian Yai district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Thailand between February-July 2020. From a 425 household survey, 69.5% were female, two-thirds of the participants aged 46 years old and above, and had the average monthly household income at 7305.13 ± 7016.56 Baht. Most of the family-based interventions focus on assisting patients more than the family caregivers. Family caregivers of schizophrenic patients require intervention which focuses more on their strengths than on solving problems for schizophrenic patients. For this study with 127 family caregivers of schizophrenic patients in Nonsung District, Nakornratchasima Province, Thailand, 63 were in the intervention group and 64 were in the control group. The 4-session intervention was held every other week. Psychological well-being and burden of care were assessed pre-intervention, post-intervention, and at 3-month follow-up. Background: Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) is an important kidney replacement therapy that highly increased after increasing ESRD patients which required renal replacement therapy and after the Thai government promoted PD first policy under a universal coverage scheme in the year 2008. Pyrethroids are commonly used in households and affect to nervous system in children. Data on pyrethroids exposure related to neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is unknown. This study investigated the relationship between 3-PBA metabolites and GABA concentrations, and also determined the factors influencing pyrethroids metabolites among young children in urban areas. A repeated cross-sectional design was designed to collect the information on PYR insecticide exposure between wet (November – December 2018) and dry (April – May 2019) seasons. Background: The physical and psychological symptoms occurring after diagnosis and during chemotherapy have a negative effect on the quality of life (QOL) of breast cancer patients. Anxiety and depression are also linked with a deprived QOL and prognosis. This study evaluated the effect of peer support intervention on knowledge about chemotherapy, self-efficacy, empathy, consumer satisfaction, anxiety, depression and QOL of female breast cancer patients on chemotherapy in Yangon, Myanmar. Undernutrition is a major public health issue leading to morbidity and mortality in children of age under-five, especially with higher rate of prevalence in very low or low-income countries including socially deprived and marginalized group of population. This study was carried out to identify the prevalence of undernutrition and its determinants among under-five children of indigenous Thami population in Dolakha District, Nepal.
