This article presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature growth and development of “yoga”. Yoga was a traditional system of about 5000 years of history and culture. Yoga is rooted in Indian philosophy and has been a part of traditional Indian spiritual practice for millennia. The Indian sage Patanjali prescribed adherence to eight limbs of yoga. Purpose: This study sought to evaluate the scientific publications of Iranian researchers in the field of internal medicine as well as to compare them with those of the countries of the Middle East and the world within 2009-2018.
Design/methodology/approach: In this bibliometric study, the Scopus database was used. All papers published in the past ten years by researchers from Iran, the Middle East and the world in the field of internal medicine were included in the study. The study examined demographic factors as correlate of use of library information resources by undergraduates in Nigeria. One hypothesis was tested for the study and the descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study is 24,545 and 4284 undergraduate students in Delta State university, Abraka and Novena university, Ogume. This study analyses the Eosinophilia research output carried out during the year 1998 – 2017 the different parameters including authorship pattern, growth, Time Series Analysis Degree of Collaboration, Institutions’ contribution, most productivity journals were analysed. The overall growth rate of literature output is found to be positive with an increasing trend in Eosinophilia research throughout the study period. Two and more authored papers constitute majority of the contribution and degree of collaboration had a maximum value of 7.14. The result shows that research development activities are increasing in Eosinophilia research in India.

The aim of this study was to assess the information needs, sources and the challenges of information access among women in Sagnerigu district in Northern Ghana. Data was collected through questionnaire and interviews from 150 women participants in different geographical zones in the district. The study discovered that majority of women in the Sagnerigu district often need information that is related to agriculture, health and family planning issues. The purpose of this study is to analyse the department wise quantitative growth and amount utilised for printed books in Central Library Tezpur University under school of engineering. The descriptive research method was used to study quantitative growth of print collections. Data about budget utilised, and year wise quantitative growth of prints books for the period of 2012 to 2017 under study was collected from the annual reports, accession register and library statistics file. The Present Study analyzed research productivity in Journal of Documentation (JDoc) for a period of 30 years between 1989 and 2018. Web of Science database a service from Clarivate Analytics has been used to download citation and source data. Bibexcel and Histcite application software have been used to present the datasets. Analysis part focuses on the parameters like citation impact at local and global level, influential authors and their total output, ranking of contributing institutions and countries. In addition to this scientographical mapping of data is presented through graphs using VOSviewer software mapping technique.

This study attempts to analyze the quality of Ph.D theses awarded by Mahatma Gandhi University, South India in the field of Social Sciences through their in-text citations and bibliography. This is done by foregrounding the mistakes made by the scholars in their theses. In between 2017-18, the university had awarded 69 Ph.Ds under Social Sciences of which 25 theses were selected for this study. This paper examines the growth of scholarly articles produced by the University of Calicut over a period of fifty one years to identify the growth and trend of research. Data was collected from Scopus database. As of 30th September 2018, a total number of 2158 scholarly articles have been published by the university. A scientometric study has been conducted on the literature published on osteoporosis in children during the year 1950-2018. From the total literature 4837, it was found that during 2011-15, the maximum (855, 17.69%) of literatures were published and the minimum 7(0.145%) during 1950-55. The study has been done for authorship pattern and they are ranked. Journals are also ranked as per the number of articles published. Methods: The survey was carried out among all 115 librarians working in the libraries of Iran, Tehran and Shahid-Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA.
