Physician Collaboration And Improving Health Care Team Patient Safety Culture: A Quantitative Approach, Jay J. Spitulnik

Studies have found links between physician relationships with nurses, patient safety culture, and patient outcomes, but less is known about a similar link between physician relationships with allied health professionals (AHPs), patient safety culture, and patient outcomes. The purpose of this exploratory quantitative, survey study was to investigate whether physician interactions with AHPs contribute to improved patient-safety culture, AHP empowerment, and self-efficacy. Based on a theoretical framework consisting of structural empowerment, psychological empowerment, and self-efficacy, it was hypothesized that self-efficacy is predicted by structural and psychological empowerment and self-efficacy predicts a positive patient safety culture. (1) To examine perceptions of preservice teachers on the implementation of multicultural education; and

(2) To investigate the extent to which preservice teachers are willing to implement multicultural education.

Snowball sampling method was used to find the participants for this research study because part of the sample for the study was very rare or limited to a very small subgroup of the population (minorities and seniors). Rhinacanthin-C (RN-C) is a major bioactive naphthoquinone ester found in Rhinacanthus nasutus Kurz (Acanthaceae). This compound has potential therapeutic value as an anticancer agent. Rhinacanthin-C was reported to enhance doxorubicin cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells through direct inhibition of P-gp activity. However, its ability in reversing multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer cells through the down-regulation of P-gp expression, alteration of detoxification system, and increase in apoptosis proteins remains unreported. การวิจัยในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยแบบผสม โดยใช้การเก็บข้อมูลผ่านการสัมภาษณ์แบบมีโครงสร้างกับผู้ให้สัมภาษณ์ที่เป็นแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีจำนวน 19 คนที่เคยโดนโกงจากการซื้อสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลีบนทวิตเตอร์มาก่อน และแบบสอบถามออนไลน์ จากผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามที่เป็นแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีจำนวน 400 คนซึ่งเคยซื้อสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลีบนทวิตเตอร์มาแล้ว โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสัญญาณในการสื่อสารหลอกลวงขายสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลี รวมไปถึงการรู้เท่าทันสื่อออนไลน์ ได้แก่ การรู้เท่าทันรูปแบบสัญญาณในการสื่อสารหลอกลวง และความสามารถในการรู้เท่าทันสื่อออนไลน์ และพฤติกรรมการซื้อสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลีในกลุ่มแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีที่มีลักษณะทางประชากรที่แตกต่างกัน โดยผลการวิจัยพบว่ารูปแบบที่พบมากที่สุดจากการหลอกลวงขายสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลีคือ การผลัดผ่อนการส่งสินค้าอยู่หลายครั้ง จากนั้นทำการเปิดฟอร์มคืนเงินให้กับผู้ซื้อเพื่อการคืนเงินให้ผู้ซื้อที่ไม่ต้องการรอสินค้าแล้ว และหายเงียบไป ด้านการรู้เท่าทันรูปแบบเนื้อหา สาร หรือสัญญาณในการสื่อสารหลอกลวงขายสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลี ในลักษณะทางประชากรที่ทำการศึกษาทั้งในด้านอายุ ระดับการศึกษา และรายได้ พบว่าด้านรายได้ที่แตกต่างกันนั้น ไม่ทำให้การรู้เท่าทันรูปแบบเนื้อหา สาร และสัญญาณในการสื่อสารหลอกลวงแตกต่างกันแต่อย่างใด ด้านความสามารถในการรู้เท่าทันสื่อออนไลน์พบว่า ทั้งอายุ ระดับการศึกษา และรายได้ที่แตกต่างกันนั้นส่งผลให้ความสามารถในการรู้เท่าทันสื่อออนไลน์ของแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีแตกต่างกันออกไปด้วย และด้านความตั้งใจซื้อสินค้า พบว่าด้านรายได้เป็นด้านเดียวที่เมื่อมีความแตกต่างกัน จะส่งผลต่อความตั้งใจซื้อสินค้าของกลุ่มแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีที่แตกต่างกัน นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าการรู้เท่าทันสื่ออนไลน์ของแฟนคลับศิลปินเกาหลีมีความสัมพันธ์กับความตั้งใจซื้อสินค้าศิลปินเกาหลีอีกด้วย

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ (1)​ เพื่อศึกษาอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยที่ถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดประกวดมิสยูนิเวิร์ส 2018 ในประเทศไทย (2)​ เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้ของผู้ชมชาวไทยและผู้ชมชาวต่างชาติที่มีต่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทย โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ด้วยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content analysis)​ จากเทปบันทึกการถ่ายทอดสด การประกวดมิสยูนิเวิร์ส​ 2018 รอบชิงชนะเลิศ​ และใช้วิธีการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In Depth interview)​ กับผู้จัดการประกวด และผู้เชี่ยวชาญเกี่ยวกับอัตลักษณ์ไทย​ร่วมกับ​การวิเคราะห์เอกสาร (Documentary analysis)​ จากแหล่งข้อมูลที่เป็น​สื่อสังคมออนไลน์​ ได้แก่ เว็บไซต์ ยูทูบ และเฟซบุ๊ก​ ผลการวิจัย 1. การเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดประกวดมิสยูนิเวิร์ส 2018 ประเทศไทยนำเสนออัตลักษณ์ทางด้านวัฒนธรรมมากกว่าอัตลักษณ์ทางด้านธรรมชาติ ผ่านวิธีการสื่อสาร 5 รูปแบบ คือ วีดิทัศน์ การแสดง กราฟิกแบ็กกราวนด์ วัตถุที่จับต้องได้ และบุคคล โดยการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยแบ่งได้เป็น 2 ลักษณะ คือ 1. ลักษณะอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยแบบดั้งเดิม เช่น สถานที่ทางธรรมชาติ ภาษาไทย 2. ลักษณะที่ไม่ใช่อัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยแบบดั้งเดิม เช่น การไหว้ ดนตรีไทย นาฏศิลป์ไทย มวยไทย ประเพณีลอยโคม ช่อดอกไม้ จิตรกรรมลายกระหนกไทย สถาปัตยกรรมไทย เครื่องประดับไหล่ช่อฟ้า ทั้งนี้ความเป็นไทยที่ถูกคัดเลือกให้นำเสนอบนเวทีระดับโลกล้วนเป็นวัฒนธรรมหลวงหรือประเพณีหลวง (Great tradition) ซึ่งเป็นวัฒนธรรมระดับชาติหรือเป็นที่รู้จักกันดีและแสดงความเป็นตัวตนของชาตินั้น ๆ 2. ผู้ชมชาวไทยและผู้ชมชาวต่างชาติมีการรับรู้และทัศนคติแตกต่างกัน โดยผู้ชมชาวไทยสามารถรับรู้และเข้าใจอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยได้มากกว่าผู้ชมชาวต่างชาติ ในภาพรวมผู้ชมทั่วโลกมีทัศนคติที่ดีต่อการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดประกวดมิสยูนิเวิร์ส 2018 ที่ประเทศไทยเป็นเจ้าภาพ ในขณะเดียวกันผู้ชมชาวไทยมีทัศนคติต่อการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยแตกต่างกัน โดยส่วนใหญ่ชื่นชมการนำเสนออัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยบนเวทีระดับโลก แต่ผู้ชมชาวไทยบางกลุ่มไม่เห็นด้วยกับการสื่อสารอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยที่ไม่ใช่ดั้งเดิมและลดทอนความเป็นไทย เช่น เครื่องประดับไหล่ “ช่อฟ้า” ในรอบชุดว่ายน้ำ และ กราฟิกแบ็กกราวนด์ลายกระหนกไทยที่ลดทอดลายละเอียดที่สื่อถึงเอกลักษณ์ไทยลงไป

วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้ศึกษาการประกอบสร้าง “ผู้หญิงในอุดมคติ” ของสิงคโปร์สมัยสร้างชาติระหว่างทศวรรษ 1950–1980 โดยรัฐบาลพรรคกิจประชาภายใต้การนำของลีกวนยู โดยจะวิเคราะห์จากนโยบายเรื่องผู้หญิง และการออกกฎหมายที่มีส่วนในกำหนดบทบาทหน้าที่ทางเพศสภาพของหญิงและชายในสิงคโปร์ รวมถึงการต่อรองระหว่างรัฐและผู้หญิงสิงคโปร์ในช่วงเวลาดังกล่าวที่กระแสสิทธิสตรีกำลังมีอิทธิพลและนำไปสู่การปรับเปลี่ยนอุดมคติรัฐเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิงของสิงคโปร์ วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้จะชี้ให้เห็นว่าการจัดการความสัมพันธ์ทางเพศสภาพระหว่างชายหญิงในพื้นที่ครอบครัวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกระบวนการสร้างชาติสิงคโปร์ หลักจริยศาสตร์แบบขงจื๊อที่มีลักษณะแบบปิตาธิปไตยคือแนวคิดสำคัญที่รัฐบาลสิงคโปร์ใช้ในการกำหนดนโยบายเพศสภาพและดำเนินนโยบายเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิง ผู้หญิงถูกกำหนดให้แสดงบทบาทในฐานะแม่และเมีย ส่วนผู้ชายถูกคาดหมายให้ทำงานนอกบ้าน ทั้งนี้ ผู้หญิงในฐานะแม่และเมียตามอุดมคติรัฐในบริบทการสร้างชาติต้องมีคุณลักษณะอันพึงประสงค์อย่างน้อย 3 ประการ ได้แก่ มีการศึกษาดี มีทักษะและความสามารถในการประกอบอาชีพเพื่อตอบสนองนโยบายเศรษฐกิจ และเป็นมารดาที่มีคุณภาพของเยาวชน อย่างไรก็ดี ภายใต้ความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคม โอกาสทางการศึกษาสำหรับผู้หญิงที่เพิ่มขึ้น และกระแสสิทธิสตรี อุดมคติรัฐเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิงที่ประกอบสร้างขึ้นโดยหลักจริยศาสตร์แบบขงจื๊อที่เป็นปิตาธิปไตยก็ได้ถูกต่อรองจากผู้หญิงสิงคโปร์ด้วย

การศึกษาวิจัยเรื่อง “การสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ของไอดอลใต้ดินไทย และการมีส่วนร่วมเชิงการตลาดของผู้ติดตาม” มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา (1) ทัศนคติของผู้ติดตามไอดอลใต้ดินไทยต่อการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ของไอดอลใต้ดิน (2) พฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมเชิงการตลาดของผู้ติดตามไอดอลใต้ดิน (3) ความสัมพันธ์ของทัศนคติต่อการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ต่อพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมเชิงการตลาดของผู้ติดตามไอดอลใต้ดิน และ (4) ความสัมพันธ์ของทัศนคติเกี่ยวกับการสื่อสารการตลาดของไอดอลใต้ดินไทยต่อการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ โดยแจกแบบสอบถามไปยังกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 418 คนที่เป็นผู้ติดตามไอดอลใต้ดินไทย ผลการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้พบว่า (1) ผู้ที่ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่ เป็นเพศชาย ช่วงอายุ 18 – 25 ปี เป็นนักเรียน/นักศึกษา ระดับศึกษาขั้นปริญญาตรี ที่มีรายได้ต่อเดือนมีจำนวนต่ำกว่า 10,000 บาท โดยพบว่ามีปริมาณการซื้อสินค้าไอดอลใต้ดิน 2-3 ครั้ง ต่อเดือนครั้งละ 1,001 ถึง 2,000 บาท (2) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่มีทัศนคติต่อการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ในระดับมากทั้งในปัจจัย ความเชื่อใจ(Trust) ความผูกพัน(Commitment) และการสื่อสาร(Communication) และมีทัศนคติต่อกิจกรรมทางการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์ส่วนใหญ่อยู่ในระดับมาก โดยมีทัศนคติต่อการสื่อสารด้านความเชื่อใจ(Trust) มากที่สุด (3) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามมีพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมเชิงการตลาดของไอดอลใต้ดินอยู่ในระดับมาก และรวมถึงมีพฤติกรรมการซื้ออยู่ในระดับมาก โดยผู้บริโภคให้ความสำคัญกับขั้นตอนของการตระหนักรู้ถึงความต้องการตราสินค้าไอดอลใต้ดินมากที่สุด และสุดท้าย (4) ผลของการทดสอบสมมติฐานที่ 1 พบว่าทัศนคติต่อการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์มีความสัมพันธ์กับพฤติกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมเชิงการตลาดของผู้ติดตามไอดอลใต้ดินอยู่ในระดับปานกลางอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ 0.01 และมีความสัมพันธ์กันในทางบวกอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ และผลการทดสอบสมมติฐานที่ 2 พบว่า ทัศนคติต่อกิจกรรมการสื่อสารการตลาดของไอดอลใต้ดินไทยมีความสัมพันธ์กับการสื่อสารการตลาดเชิงความสัมพันธ์อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.01 และมีความสัมพันธ์กันในทางบวกอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ

Chapman & Huffman suggest that judgments of human superiority underlie our cruelty to animals. It might be useful to examine how such judgments operate within the human community. Children arguably have a potential for developing “superior” capacities but are outperformed on many tasks by animals. There is a continuum of development in children’s capacities. Perhaps there are interspecies evolutionary continua too. This highlights the complexity of reasoning about humans, animals, and moral inclusion.

Perceived control is associated with health throughout adulthood, yet has also been found to decline with age possibly due to age-related experiences of increasing losses and limitations in life circumstances. Perceived control may also be affected by individual personality characteristics, which also predict health through late adulthood. A major effect of globalization is one that occurs on the self-concept. This is especially the case for young consumers, and particularly for millennials. Despite this cohort’s idiosyncrasies, little attention has been paid to the study of their consumer identities, an important aspect of self-concept. The current research addresses this gap by examining the way millennial consumers’ global and national identities help explain two attitudinal outcomes associated with globalization: materialism and consumer ethnocentrism.
