Technology-Enhanced Pre-Instructional Peer Assessment: Exploring Students' Perceptions In A Statistical Methods Course, Yosep Dwi Kristanto

There has been strong interest among higher education institution in implementing technology-enhanced peer assessment as a tool for enhancing students' learning. However, little is known on how to use the peer assessment system in pre-instructional activities. This study aims to explore how technology-enhanced peer assessment can be embedded into pre-instructional activities to enhance students' learning. Therefore, the present study was an explorative descriptive study that used the qualitative approach to attain the research aim. This study used a questionnaire, students' reflections, and interview in collecting student's perceptions toward the interventions. The study was aimed at (1) identifying indicators for bandel attitudes in the teachings of Ki Hadjar Dewantara, and (2) finding out the results of the implementation of the developed bandel attitude assessment instrument. The study was developmental research in the affective domain using Mardapi's ten developmental steps. Subjects were selected by cluster random sampling of 392 junior secondary school students, 57 for the limited-scale try-out and 335 for the wider-scale try-out. The data analysis techniques included those for Aiken content validity, concurrent validity, and Cronbach Alpha reliability. Evaluation using computerized adaptive tests (CAT) is an alternative to paper-based tests (PBT). This study was aimed at mapping physics problem-solving skills using PhysProSS-CAT on the basis of the item response theory (IRT). The study was conducted inSleman Regency, Yogyakarta, involving 156 students of Grade XI of senior high school. Sampling was done using stratified random sampling technique. The results of the study show that the PhysProSS-CAT is able to accurately measure physics problem-solving skills. We recently identified three novel thioredoxin-like genes in the genome of the protozoan parasite Plasmodium that belong to the Phosducin-like family of proteins (PhLP). PhLPs are small cytosolic proteins hypothesized to function in G-protein signaling and protein folding. Although PhLPs are highly conserved in eukaryotes from yeast to mammals, only a few representatives have been experimentally characterized to date. In addition, while PhLPs contain a thioredoxin domain, they lack a CXXC motif, a strong indicator for redox activity, and it is unclear whether members of the PhLP family are enzymatically active. Past research has asserted that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (i.e., Mormons) have high rates of religious perfectionism. A historical investigation was performed exam- ining how the perception of perfectionism has changed within the field of psychology. The study first investigates early viewpoints (e.g., Freud, Horney, Adler, Ellis, Beck) that unanimously perceived perfectionism as negative and debilitating in an individual’s psychological adjustment. New research, which understood and measured perfectionism as a multidimensional construct, found both positive and negative components of perfectionism. Different theoretical understandings of perfectionism (e.g., behavioral, attachment, self-conscious emotions, acceptance, Big Five personality …

Salah satu teknik multiplexing yang saat ini populer digunakan untuk aplikasi akses komunikasi cepat berbasis cahaya tampak adalah Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). Meskipun lebih kompleks dibandingkan modulasi berbasis Pulse Time Modulation (PTM), teknik OFDM disinyalir dapat lebih menghemat bandwidth komunikasi karena membagi bandwidth lebar menjadi spektrum yang sempit (sub-carrier) dan saling overlap. Through the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS4 and IFLS5), this paper examined effects of individuals’ social capital on various health outcomes, analyzing specifically whether generalized trust, bridging social capital (trust in many ethnic groups, trust in many religious beliefs), and social isolation had effects on various health outcomes. Estimated results for fixed-effects models did not show significance in any health outcome variables, except for social isolation, which had a positive effect on self-perceived health. Moreover, estimated results for random-effect probit models showed that generalized trust had weak negative effect on self-perceived health, while trust in many ethnic groups had negative …

This study focused examines the dynamics of local–globalcommunication in a food-sovereignty movement by comparing peasants’ statementsin the relevant communicative spaces and official texts produced by LVC.
