Objective: This randomized controlled clinical trial aimed to compared the accuracy of implant position between static and mental Computer Assisted Implant Surgery (CAIS) in single tooth gap. Materials and methods: 52 patients who received 60 implants in single tooth gap, randomized equally into static or mental CAIS. In static CAIS group, data from CBCT scan and data from intraoral or model scan were utilised for the three dimensional virtual planning implant positioning and desiring of a three dimensional surgical guide in implant planning software. Objectives: This study aimed to i) determine the kinetic changes of immune cell phenotypes, including an exhaustion marker PD-1, in spleens of murine sepsis ii) investigate the susceptibility against secondary fungal infection after sepsis, and iii) investigate the efficacy of an anti-PD-1 treatment in post-sepsis fungal infection. Periodontium is a specialized tissue laying between tooth and surrounding bone. It functions as force cushion. In particular stimulation including mechanical force, periodontal ligament (PDL) cells which are mechanosensitive cells have the ability to secrete specific cytokines and proteins. PDL cells also have the potential to differentiate into osteoblast-like cells or fibroblast-like cells. Aim: To evaluate the effect of disking technique and resin modified glass ionomer cement (RMGI) restoration on proximal caries of primary upper incisors in tribal preschool children, aged 3-5 years, attending child development centers of Doi Tung Development Project, Chiang Rai. Methods: Twenty tribal preschool children were enrolled in this match-paired design study. Twenty-six proximal carious surfaces were randomized for RMGI restoration (control group), and 26 proximal carious surfaces were randomized for disking technique (experimental group). Previous studies suggest that periodontitis may be associated with an increasing risk of hypertension. However, data from large epidemiological studies are limited. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to examine the association between periodontitis and hypertension using data from a cohort study in a Thai population. The study population comprised of 1,378 employees of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), aged 53 to 73 years old, were categorized into no/mild, moderate, or severe periodontitis groups. This research focuses on how to use natural fibers available from agricultural residues to produce biodegradable materials such as mulch films. Green composites were prepared from natural fibers (peanut shell and bagasse fiber) and polylactic acid (PLA) together with plasticizers. The presence of plasticizers improved PLA molecular mobility as seen by the reduction of glass transition, cold crystallization, and melting temperatures. The addition of natural fibers into PLA brought down decomposition temperature when compared to PLA. A total of 50 endophytic actinomycetes isolated from fourteen plant species collected from six provinces of Thailand including Bangkok, Chachoengsao, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Pathom, Prachinburi and Suphan Buri were taxonomically studied relied on their phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics, and the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The isolates were identified as members of the family Streptomycetaceae involving Streptomyces (22 isolates), and the family Micromonosporaceae including Micromonospora (25 isolates), Plantactinospora (1 isolate) and Polymorphospora (1 isolate). The objective of this research was to study the phytochemical composition of the Okra seed extract and its in vitro anticancer activity for future pharmaceutical use. We detected active flavonoids compounds such as isoquercitrin, at an amount of 2.89 ± 1.64 % w/w. Furthermore, antioxidation testing by DPPH assay and ABTS assay, showed values of IC50 = 55.80 ug/ml and 49.04 ug/ml, respectively. The Okra seed extract’s anti-cancer activity was evaluated on cancer cell lines, indicating anticancer properties for certain forms of cancer such as cervical cancer (HeLa), liver cancer (HepG2), and most significantly for breast cancer (MCF-7). Phytochemical study of the methanol extract of the whole plant of Dendrobium scabrilingue Lindl. (Orchidaceae) resulted in the isolation of a new phenanthrene and a new bisbibenzyl namely dendroscabrols A and B, respectively, along with eight known compounds, identified as (Z)-ferulic acid tetracosyl ester, (E)-ferulic acid tetracosyl ester, gigantol, batatasin III, coelonin, aloifol I, lusianthridin and RF-3192C. The structures of these isolated compounds were determined mainly by spectroscopic data. All isolates were examined for alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity. The standardized extract of Centella asiatica ECa233 consists of asiaticoside and madecassoside. Previous studies reported various pharmacological effects of, ECa233, especially in the central nervous system disorders. The present study aimed to investigate the neuroprotective effects and protective mechanisms of ECa233 against rotenone-induced neurotoxicity in rats and in neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. In animal study, male Wistar rats were divided into five experimental groups (n=10); control, PD, PD-ECa10, PD-ECa30, and PD-EC100. This cross-sectional study was based on secondary data of Thailand Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS round 3, 4 and 5) between 2005 and 2016 and aimed to identify trends and factors associated with breastfeeding in Thailand. Subjects were selected from the three MICS surveys and then pooled together to form final weighted samples of 9757 children under 2 years for studying early initiation of breastfeeding and 2568 children under 6 months for exclusive breastfeeding. The main overall goal of this study is to investigate the application of modified chitosan as a potential vector for apoptotic gene delivery to gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR)-expressing cells (i.e. testicular cells and mammary cancer cells). This study reported Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone-modified Chitosan (GnRH-CS) nanoparticle as a promising vector for targeted gene delivery, and a GnRH peptide was used for active targeting of a transgene in GnRHR expressing cells. Retinal (retinaldehyde) is one of natural vitamin A metabolites. It is widely used in clinical dermatology such as acne, acne scar, photoaging, wrinkles, psoriasis, skin neoplasia and seborrheic dermatitis. Retinal is a pivotal key to regulate keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation in the epidermis resulting in epidermal thickening and inhibit collagen destruction in the dermis. However, topical application of retinal is still irritative to the skin and chemically and photochemically unstable. Topically applied retinal can induce a retinoid dermatitis. A total of 809 samples of pig rectal swab from slaughterhouses (n=441) and pork from retail market (n=368) were collected in the border provinces among Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Myanmar between October 2016 and March 2017. The objective of this study was to determine resistance to extended-spectrum ß-lactams (ESBLs) and colistin in Salmonella enterica and Escherichia coli. A total of Salmonella (n=463) and E. coli (n=767) were collected and determined for the ESBL-production and for the Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) of colistin and; the presence of ESBL gene and mcr gene. Amniotic membrane (AM) is the innermost fetal membrane. Due to its many known properties, human AM is a favorable corneal graft. Cryopreservation at -80ºC maintains most of biological properties. Due to shortage of supply, AM of other species are studied. The objective of this study is to explore the biomechanical and biological properties of canine AM (CAM) after cryopreservation for 7 and 30 days.
