The purpose of this study is to trace out the growth and development of social science literature in open access environment published from India. Total 1195 open access papers published and indexed in Scopus database in ten years have considered for the present study. Research publication from 2008 to 2017 have been analyzed based on literature growth, authorship pattern, activity index, prolific authors and institutions, publication type, channel and citation count have examined to provide a clear picture of Indian social science research. Purpose

This study aims to carry out a bibliometric evaluation of articles published in Pakistan Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (PJPS) from 2006 to 2015. Bibliometric study determines publication pattern and identifies research trends in a field.

Design/Methodology/Approach

All articles published in PJPS during ten years were analysed using MS Excel.

Results

A total of 951 authors contributed 1172 articles to PJPS from 2006 to 2015. Eighty-six percent authors contributed only one article each. M. Saeed Arayne and Najma Sultana were the leading principal authors with 18 and 10 articles respectively. Ninety-seven percent articles were written by more than one author. …

The article highlights how librarians and faculty can collaborate to prepare pre-service teaching students to select culturally appropriate juvenile books. Results show how the students’ misconceptions or poor knowledge about multiculturalism impact their decision in the selection of material. Changes in the content and delivery of information demonstrate how to improve the knowledge and application of cultural literacy skills by the students. This case study approaches the importance of the connection between textual and visual content in juvenile books, and how a collaborative approach between a faculty member and an academic librarian can improve the acquisition of lifelong learning skills.

Within these venues, particularly the website Tumblr, the practice of self-diagnosing is common. At present, self-diagnosing is understudied, making it difficult to determine if self-diagnosed individuals face public stigma. Blood glucose homeostasis is a critical component in the physiological health of vertebrates. Regulation of blood glucose levels is the responsibility of the endocrine pancreas, which excretes hormones to the bloodstream in response to changes in glucose concentrations. Increased cases of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancers and low HPV vaccine uptake are public health concerns that directly affect young adults and adolescents around the country. The HPV vaccine is recommended to prevent HPV associated cancers. Increased awareness and health education interventions are needed to promote the importance of the HPV vaccine and to achieve an HPV vaccine completion rate of 80% as outlined by the Healthy People 2020 goal.
