How Intellectual Capital, Knowledge Management, And The Business Environment Affect Thailand’S Food Industry Innovation, Pimsara Yaklai, Opal Suwunnamek, Chalita Srinuan
Asia-Pacific Social Science Review
In 2015, Thailand employed nearly 11% of the population in agriculture, which has always been a stable and prosperous component of the economy. Having a rich natural abundance of resources, combined with significant investments in technology, food safety, and research and development (R&D) have helped contribute to Thailand being labeled as “Kitchen of the World.” Given these priorities, stratified sampling was employed to select 246 individuals from the target population. Confirmatory factor analysis was used, followed by a structural equation model to analyze how intellectual capital, knowledge management, and the business environment affect innovation in Thailand’s entrepreneurial food industry. The …

Europeanisation Of The Polish Leniency Programme, Paulina Korycińska-Rządca
Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies
Leniency programmes in competition law make it possible to grant immunity from fines, or a reduction of any fine that would otherwise have been imposed on an undertaking who was a party to an unlawful agreement restricting competition. This immunity or fine reduction is granted as a reward for the cooperation with the competition authority and the provision of evidence of an unlawful agreement restricting competition. Legal rules regarding the application of leniency programmes have been introduced at the EU level as well as in the national legislations of numerous countries, including Polish law. The author makes an attempt to …
Can An Ideal Court Model In Private Antitrust Enforcement Be Established?, Dominik Wolski
Can An Ideal Court Model In Private Antitrust Enforcement Be Established?, Dominik Wolski
Yearbook of Antitrust and Regulatory Studies
Any discussion of private antitrust enforcement usually focuses on substantive law and proceedings applicable to private antitrust cases. Those elements are important, however, the efficacy of both public and private enforcement relies upon rules of law (substantive and procedural) along with their application. The latter constitutes a substantial aspect affecting the institutions which make decisions in private antitrust enforcement cases, namely the relevant courts. The enforcement of competition law is inextricably intertwined with the economy and markets. As a result, antitrust cases are demanding for non-specialist judges, who usually do not have enough knowledge and experience in the field of …

Different Methods Of Embodied Cognition In Pedagogy And Its Effectiveness In Student Learning, Cassandra Durkee
Different Methods Of Embodied Cognition In Pedagogy And Its Effectiveness In Student Learning, Cassandra Durkee
Master's Theses
The Mathematical Ideas Analysis hypothesizes that abstract mathematical reasoning is unconsciously organized and integrated with sensory-motor experience. Basic research testing movement, language, and perception during math problem solving supports this hypothesis. Applied research primarily measures students’ performance on math tests after they engage in analogous sensory-motor tasks, but findings show mixed results. Sensory-motor tasks are dependent on several moderators (e.g., instructional guidance, developmental stage) known to help students learn, and studies vary in how each moderator is implemented. There is little research on the effectiveness of sensory-motor tasks without these moderators. This study compares different approaches to working with an …
Psychological Presence In Immersive Virtual Environments, Steven L. Wu
Psychological Presence In Immersive Virtual Environments, Steven L. Wu
Master's Theses
Immersive virtual environments are simulated locations that attempt to create a sense of presence, or the psychological feeling that an individual is acting within the simulated environment rather than their physical one. When interfacing with an interactive virtual environment, evidence suggests that aspects of psychological presence are affected, such as time perception and situation awareness. As such, this study hypothesized presence as the construct by which immersive virtual environment usage influences time perception and situation awareness. Two levels of presence were manipulated using a monitor and Oculus Rift. Forty-one participants were tasked with a scavenger hunt in both monitor and …

One debate that has been going on for a long time and has not yet been completed is related to the relationship between religion and the state. There are two general opinions on this matter, namely that which separates religion and state life and vice versa argues that religion is an integral part of the life of the state. One way to see how the relationship between God and religion and the state can be seen in the country's constitution, whether the constitution regulates "God" and religion or not. After that, it can be found how the influence of the …

This study surveys and describes the patterns or modalities of political interference in national roadworks in the Philippines based on an examination of the literature and interviews using process-level frameworks, specifically the project management cycle and the budget cycle framework. Political interference here refers to non-legitimate interventions by politicians in government processes and programs. We argue that it is a form of political corruption. Evidence suggests that this type of interference tends to be prominent in national roadworks. Executive interference occurs at various stages of the project management and budget processes. The abuse of executive discretion in national road development …
