Barriers And Challenges To Implementing Telehealth Among Physicians And Advanced Practice Nurses In The United States, Mohammad Einolghozati
Barriers And Challenges To Implementing Telehealth Among Physicians And Advanced Practice Nurses In The United States, Mohammad Einolghozati
Health Informatics Student Papers and Projects
A recent Medscape survey among physicians to assess their attitudes toward telemedicine showed that physicians have some concerns regarding telemedicine including liability and reimbursement (Cranford, 2016). Among nurse practitioners, credentialing, reimbursement, patient privacy and the use of appropriate equipment are some of the most critical issues with telemedicine (Balestra, 2018). Healthcare providers play a crucial role in telehealth adoption because their decision to use telehealth is the first step towards the emergence and sustainability of telehealth networks.
The objective of this review is to examine the various barriers and challenges physicians and advanced nurses experience when implementing telemedicine in the …

In the modern era, wireless devices have entangled and influenced the medical space on a large scale of effectiveness. To monitor an elderly person who need medical attention in the periodic interval is very vapid using existing technologies. To conquer this, we select a unique wearable sensor, so it can be remote monitoring and data gathering of patients on the cloud through the internet of things which adds the advantages of mobility. Thus around the clock medical attention can be given to the patient by rigorous data observation before medical condition to escalate. In this work, all the viable options …

Review Of Sacred Space: Exploring The Birthplace Of Mormonism, Daniel H. Olsen
Religious Educator: Perspectives on the Restored Gospel
When I was asked to read and review Michael MacKay’s Sacred Space: Exploring the Birthplace of Mormonism, I was expecting to read a straightforward history of Fayette, New York, the story of the founding of Mormonism in Fayette, and the efforts of the LDS Church to purchase and restore the Peter Whitmer Sr. home where, Church members have been told, the Church was organized on 6 April 1830. However, I was quite surprised, as I imagine most Church members would be, to read that the location of the establishment of Mormonism is highly contested within some Mormon history circles. Some …

Puerto Ricans Keep On Growing! The Puerto Rican Population In The United States Grew At A Rapid Pace Between 2016-2017, Center For Puerto Rican Studies
Puerto Ricans Keep On Growing! The Puerto Rican Population In The United States Grew At A Rapid Pace Between 2016-2017, Center For Puerto Rican Studies
CUNY Centro, The Center for Puerto Rican Studies
The Puerto Rican population grew in the U.S. from 5.4 million in 2016 to 5.5 million in 2017. Of note is the fact that 2017 is the first time Florida becomes the state of the union with the most Puerto Ricans, according to estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau in its yearly American Community Survey. This can be attributed to three factors: migration from Puerto Rico, internal migration from other U.S. states (especially from the Northeast), and natural growth of the population (greater birth than deaths).

Metropolitan Planning Organizations And Climate Change Action, Susan G. Mason, Michail Fragkias
Metropolitan Planning Organizations And Climate Change Action, Susan G. Mason, Michail Fragkias
Urban Studies and Community Development Faculty Publications and Presentations
Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) sit at a unique nexus of government arrangements and missions that could be effective for addressing issues of climate change. Using survey and secondary data this study investigates the potential of metropolitan planning organizations to play a formative role in climate change action and policy. We examine factors that promote MPOs involvement in climate change issues by bridging two types of literatures in a quantitative modeling framework: the institutional responses to environmental change, driven by conceptualization of urban systems as social-ecological systems, and the public policy, regional planning and local politics literature. We find robust MPOs, …

Adam Scriveyn In Cyberspace: Loss, Labour, Ideology, And Infrastructure In Interoperable Reuse Of Digital Manuscript Metadata, Bridget Whearty
Adam Scriveyn In Cyberspace: Loss, Labour, Ideology, And Infrastructure In Interoperable Reuse Of Digital Manuscript Metadata, Bridget Whearty
English, General Literature, and Rhetoric Faculty Scholarship
This chapter seeks to demystify invisible work at the heart of manuscript digitization. Descriptive metadata and its curation are the unseen elements upon which image discoverability—and later reuse—depends. Seeing and taking seriously that labor, I contend, is fundamental to developing a more rigorous understanding of medieval manuscripts in our increasingly digital age.
The chapter begins by connecting major challenges facing manuscript interoperability to the deeper disciplinary histories of codicology, library studies, and digital humanities. Next, it progresses through three case studies, each of which illustrates different challenges in digital manuscript studies. Studying the Walters Art Museum metadata, I emphasize how …

The Impact Of Foreign Direct Investment On Real Wages In Egypt: A Sectoral Empirical Analysis, Hanan A. Abouelfarag, Mohamed S. Abed
The Impact Of Foreign Direct Investment On Real Wages In Egypt: A Sectoral Empirical Analysis, Hanan A. Abouelfarag, Mohamed S. Abed
Topics in Middle Eastern and North African Economies
This research seeks to empirically examine the impact of Foreign Direct Investment )FDI( on real wages in Egypt. First, we test the effect of FDI on real wages on the whole economy, and then special attention is given to the basic sectors in the economy. For this purpose, we make use of time-series Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) models utilizing annual data covering the period 1985-2014. Our results reveal that FDI positively affects the average wages in the long-run in almost all conducted models. According to the sectoral models, the highest long-run effect of FDI on wages is detected in the …
Trade And Conflict: The Case Of The Arab Maghreb Union, Rayhana Chabbouh El Asmi
Trade And Conflict: The Case Of The Arab Maghreb Union, Rayhana Chabbouh El Asmi
Topics in Middle Eastern and North African Economies
This paper explores the links between trade, conflict and peace in the Arab Maghreb countries. Since its creation in 1989, the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) has been in a lethargic state. We assume that reducing inter and intra-state conflicts would be a sound argument for the reactivation of the Arab Maghreb Union. In this paper, we will discuss trade flows between the Maghreb Union countries and highlight the pending political issues and conflicts. The results confirm that countries which are more likely to create regional blocks are naturally more open to trade and even more subject to interstate disputes. Elimination …
