Aims: This study investigated the seroprevalence and sexual risk behavior factors associated with syphilis and herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) among men who have sex with men (MSM), in Manado, Indonesia.

Methods: Serum samples and questionnaires regarding their socio-demographic and sexual behaviour were collected from 60 MSM in Manado. Samples were screened for anti-HSV-2 IgG for herpes, the Venereal Disease Research Laboratory (VDRL) and the Treponema Pallidum Haemagglutination (TPHA) test for syphilis. A cross sectional method was used in this study.

Age-based differentiation in the timing of avian migration can influence subsequent habitat use and, therefore, reproductive success. Over 2 breeding seasons, we compared arrival dates, pairing success, and fledging success for second-year (SY) and after-second-year (ASY) federally endangered Golden-cheeked Warblers (Setophaga chrysoparia) occupying areas of low (n = 9 sites) and high (n = 10 sites) warbler density. Male warblers arrived on low-density sites on average 6 days later (11 March) than high-density sites (5 March). We evaluated the thermal regime and relative abundance of native and nonnative fish and invertebrates within Kelly Warm Spring and Savage Ditch, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. Water temperatures within the system remained relatively warm year-round with mean temperatures >20 °C near the spring source and >5 °C approximately 2 km downstream of the source. Research on gender representation in folk tales has shown that oftentimes values embedded in folk tales are not in line with contemporary gender values. This paper aims at revealing the objectification of women in three Indonesian folktales turned into children’s literature, which are Si Leungli, Jaka Tarub, and Sangkuriang rewritten by a group of writers and illustrators under the name Sanggar Tumpal. Data is collected with observation, interview, and distribution of questionnaire. Validation result shows that the virtual laboratory learning media is valid to use for genetic engineering course. It shows the result of subject expert (56,3%), media expert (57,1%), and lecturer (65,6%). Students give good response in the virtual laboratory learning media for genetic engineering course.

Students’ achievement in mastering symmetry is estimated being influenced by their spatial ability. The objectives of study are to: (1) describe students’ spatial ability, (2) describe students’ mastering of symmetry, and (3) find out the correlation between students’ spatial ability and their mastering of symmetry. This research is a quantitative descriptive and correlational research. Research data were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation. Findings revealed that: (1) 40% of students have spatial ability in low category, (2) students’ mastering of symmetry included in the good category, and (3) students’ spatial ability is influenced their mastering of symmetry.

Distributed digital manufacturing of free and open-source scientific hardware (FOSH) used for scientific experiments has been shown to in general reduce the costs of scientific hardware by 90–99%. In part due to these cost savings, the manufacturing of scientific equipment is beginning to move away from a central paradigm of purchasing proprietary equipment to one in which scientists themselves download open-source designs, fabricate components with digital manufacturing technology, and then assemble the equipment themselves.
