The Channel Islands were an integral part of the Duchy of Normandy until 1204 when King John lost Continental Normandy to the French King, Philip Augustus. Jersey and Guernsey did not submit to the jurisdiction of the French King but retained allegiance to the King in England as Duke of Normandy. The customary laws of the Islands retain their Norman root to this day in spite of strong legal and cultural influences from England in the 19^thand 20Centuries. The ownership of, and rights to, coastal waters are exhibited on a cumulative scale ranging from commons-like to private use. As an example of a natural resource with complex and interlinked ecosystems, coastal waters give rise to many kinds of legal norms and pol-icy instruments. As shown by my investigation of China’s coastal waters, people are willing to pay for legal rights which guarantee exclusive access, regardless of the relatively high cost. Mixed method with sequential explanatory strategy is used in this study to collect and to analyze data. This study aims to examine the biased behavior of investor in uptrend and/or downtrend market in Indonesian stock exchange. Behavioral bias is indicated by three variables: gambler’s fallacy, halo effect, and familiarity effect. Data were collected using questionnaire and distributed to 384 respondents. First, questionnaires were analyzed using frequency distribution. Second, questionnaires were assessed using Likert scale and analyzed using one sample t-test and paired t-test to answer the hypothesis and research questions. This research is aimed to investigate the role of managerial ability as a mechanism to improve earnings quality as a mediating effect influence on firm value. The sample used in this study were non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2014. The sample were selected using purposive random sampling method. The number of sample resulted form this method are 178 companies. Recent studies of flood risk at New York Harbor (NYH) have shown disparate results for the 100 year storm tide, providing an uncertain foundation for the flood mitigation response after Hurricane Sandy. Here we present a flood hazard assessment that improves confidence in our understanding of the region's present-day potential for flooding, by separately including the contribution of tropical cyclones (TCs) and extratropical cyclones (ETCs), and validating our modeling study at multiple stages against historical observations. The TC assessment is based on a climatology of 606 synthetic storms developed from a statistical-stochastic model of North Atlantic TCs. The ETC assessment …

The subject matter of this article concerns the question of distance selling of medicinal products considered from the perspective of national legislation. The author analyzes in detail the provisions of the Polish Pharmaceutical Law and the Ordinance of the Minister of Health of 26 March 2015 on mail-order sales of medicinal products in order to find the answer to the question why pharmacists show little interest in further developing this distribution channel for medicine. The author focuses also on the analysis of the provisions governing mail-order sales of medicines in terms of ensuring patient safety.

This research was aimed to describe the knowledge and behavior of students related toSustainableReserveFoodGarden Program (SRFGP). The research was conducted in June 2016 at Miftahul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding House Central Lombok. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. Sample were collected through Purpossive Sampling technique. The number of respondents were 26 students. The result showed that the knowledge and behaviour of students related to SRFGP were very low, 26,4% and 5,8%, respectively. We need further action to improve the knowledge and behavior to implement SRFGP in environment preservation and awareness.

This was a quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The research data was from test results with critical thinking instruments that have been developed (R = 0.7319). This research aims to analyze ‘mahasiswa pencinta alam’ knowledge in utilizing survival plants. The research method was quantitative descriptive, which involved 60 respondents. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. The results showed that 54 % respondents had very low knowledge about plant survival. The respondent lack of knowledge about identification and species of plant survival and in the forest and also difficultto get information sources such as the book of survival guide in order to support their knowledge. It is required to develop a popular scientific guidance book about survival plants.

Spastic NBD is usually manifested with detrusor overactivity and detrusor-external sphincter dyssynergia (DESD). Botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) injection has been used in treating spastic NBD for long time. Montana is home to 133 documented species of mayflies (Insecta: Ephemeroptera) from 55 genera in 16 families. This study reports on the conservation status, critical habitat, and management needs of 7 mayfly species that are currently listed as Montana species of concern (SOC) and 2 species that are currently listed as potential species of concern (PSOC). Six (67%) of these listed mayflies (Anepeorus rusticus, Analetris eximia, Homoeoneuria alleni, Lachlania saskatchewanensis, Macdunnoa nipawinia, and Raptoheptagenia cruentata) are associated with the sand and gravel benthic habitats of large prairie rivers. Netleaf hackberry (Celtis reticulata) is a deciduous shrub native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. Previous field observations have shown limited numbers of juvenile hackberries in the wild. This could be due to low germination and survival rates, but field germination trials have not been done. In the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, hackberry shrubs have been shown to grow in association with boulders, likely using them as nurse objects. We conducted a survey of the bat fauna of Desert National Wildlife Refuge (DNWR) in Nevada during 2008–2014. Our objectives were (1) to determine the species present at DNWR by mist-netting at likely bat drinking areas; (2) to compare the bat fauna at White Spot Spring at DNWR to the fauna documented there in 1962–1967; and (3) to assess the possible importance of artificial water sources to bats on this highly arid landscape in relation to an ongoing drought. Normal microbiota is dominated by Lactobacillus species, and pathogen microbiota such as Gardnerella species and Bacteroides species can occur due to decrease in Lactobacillus domination. Lactobacillus plays an essential role in keeping normal vaginal microbiota in balance. Vaginal microbiota adapts to pH change and hormonal value.
