Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model-model permainan Aktivitas Luar kelas (ALK) yang layak digunakan sebagai materi pembelajaran penjas, serta efektif untuk mengembangkan ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa SMA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: (1) pengumpulan informasi di lapangan, (2) menganalisis informasi yang telah dikumpulkan, (3) mengembangkan produk awal, (4) validasi ahli dan revisi, (5) uji coba skala kecil dan revisi, (6) uji coba skala besar dan revisi, dan (7) pembuatan produk final. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model pembelajaran gerak multilateral yang dibentuk melalui permainan bola besar, serta dikembangkan menjadi panduan guru olahraga dan pembelajaran dengan konsep permainan. Penelitian ini dikembangkan dengan mengadaptasi penelitian dan pengembangan pendidikan model Gall, Gall, & Borg. Uji coba dengan skala kecil dilakukan terhadap 24 orang siswa di SD Mutiara Singaraja dan 85 orang siswa pada skala besar di SDN 1 dan SDN 3 Singaraja. Latihan pada cabang bersepeda memperhatikan intensitas dengan salah satu parameternya denyut jantung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan perubahan tekanan darah dan denyut jantung pada berbagai intensitas latihan atlet balap sepeda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 11 atlet balap sepeda Pegasus Continental Cycling Team selama periode pengamatan April-Juni 2015. Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji One Way Anova. F hitung denyut jantung dengan intensitas latihan 3,695 ‰¥ F tabel 3,316 dengan probabilitas 0,037 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan antara perubahan denyut jantung dengan berbagai intensitas latihan. F hitung tekanan sistol dengan intensitas latihan 2,372 ‰¤ F tabel 3,316 dengan probabilitas 0,111 > 0,05 menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara perubahan tekanan sistol pada berbagai intensitas latihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan: (1) tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang valid, (2) mengembangkan tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula yang reliabel, dan (3) norma penilaian tes keterampilan olahraga woodball untuk pemula. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari enam langkah kegiatan, yaitu: identifikasi kebutuhan, analisis pengembangan produk, menulis tujuan kinerja, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian, merancang dan mengevaluasi produk, serta merevisi produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan pengaruh metode latihan drill umpan konstan dan metode latihan drill umpan berubah-ubah terhadap ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja; (2) perbedaan ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja antara atlet yang mempunyai waktu reaksi tinggi dan rendah; (3) pengaruh interaksi antara metode drill dan waktu reaksi terhadap ketepatan pukulan drive tenis meja. This article considers the status of the writer at a time when publication is no longer elusive, given the immediacy of online dissemination. For those who identify as writers, it looks at the implications of blogging, social media, entrepreneurial self-publishing, and scholarly open access journals, including so-called ‘predatory’ ones. It argues for a distinction between day-to-day writing and composition, and seeks to establish a category for the writer that takes account of deliberation, craft, and readership. It juxtaposes the creative activity of Jack Kerouac, Virginia Woolf, Truman Capote, and Mother Goose against the linguist John McWhorter’s convincing dismissal of the …

This article examines the complex nature of literacy through a variety of lenses. The linguistic lens focuses on literacy as a language and multimodal process. The cognitive reveals the mental processes and strategies readers and writers employ to construct meanings through the linguistic and multimodal dimension. Not just a linguistic and cognitive process, the sociocultural lens examines literacy use within social and cultural contexts. Apolipoprotein E ɛ4 allele is a common susceptibility gene for late-onset Alzheimer's disease. Brain vascular and metabolic deficits can occur in cognitively normal apolipoprotein E ɛ4 carriers decades before the onset of Alzheimer's disease. The goal of this study was to determine whether early intervention using rapamycin could restore neurovascular and neurometabolic functions, and thus impede pathological progression of Alzheimer's disease-like symptoms in pre-symptomatic Apolipoprotein E ɛ4 transgenic mice. Using in vivo, multimodal neuroimaging, we found that apolipoprotein E ɛ4 mice treated with rapamycin had restored cerebral blood flow, blood–brain barrier integrity and glucose metabolism, compared …

The Supreme Court Law Review: Osgoode’s Annual Constitutional Cases Conference

In November 2013, the Parti Québécois introduced the Charter affirming the values of State secularism and religious neutrality and of equality between women and men, and providing a framework for accommodation requests (also known as Bill 60). This proposed piece of legislation would substantially alter how public services are offered and received in Québec. This article argues that this legislative project was much more than a simple law, and rather, as discussed, about reconfiguring the constitutional relationship that Quebecers entertain with the rest of Canada. The purpose of the research is to assess the recency effect about sequence, manner of presentation and form of information on audit decisions when the information is presented sequentially or simultaneously. Recency effect is a biased decision of the auditor when information is given in sequence and auditors tend to weigh the last information greater than the earlier information. The research used a 2x2x2 experimental design with 80 participants between the subject of undergraduate students majoring in accounting.
