A Mentality Study On Drawings Of Flood Victims, Lertsiri Bovornkitti

Massive flooding in parts of Thailand during the period September - November 2011 had great impacts on residents of the areas affected. The Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University, set up one of the relief teams. As a faculty staff member, the author undertook a visual art project among those affected.

The study was carried out on 74 immigrants at the Rajamangala Stadium Shelter; the drawings at the site were examined for their mentality status. Children with a good physical fi tness affect to their ability to perform physical activities and well-being of children in the future. Previous studies found that environmental and lifestyle patterns have different effects on physical fi tness.This study to compare physical fitness among girls in child welfare and school children aged 7-9 years. Participants were 47 females of child welfare and 42 females of school children. Participants in this study receive a questionnaire, body mass index measurement and physical fi tness test. The purposes of this clinical trial phase I were to study the safety and side effects of Thunbergia laurifolia Lindl. water extract at dose 600 milligram per day, calculated by probabilistic multiplication method to be a Reference Dose (RfD), on 10 healthy volunteers, which was permitted by ethical review committee Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University. Five males and 5 females’ healthy volunteers, age between 20-29 years old, received 600 milligram water extract of Thunbergia laurifolia Lindl. orally per day in the morning for 14 days and washout period for 14 days. Delayed management may cause loss of testis. The most common conditions are testicular torsion, torsion of the testicular appendage and acute epididymitis. Managements are different in each disease. Does Memory Predict Decline In Activities Of Daily Living In Older Adults With Alzheimer's Disease?, Sarah West, Robert Mccue, Charles Golden

As the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) increases, neuropsychologists will need to make accurate recommendations regarding cognitive and functional decline in these individuals. Since memory impairment is the hallmark of AD, this study examined whether auditory and visual memory could significantly predict deficits in self-care activities. Participants were older adults diagnosed with AD, who received a neuropsychological battery assessing their functional decline and memory. Of auditory memory measures, immediate auditory memory was significantly correlated with declines financial and medication management; none of the auditory memory measures were significantly correlated with declines in driving, dressing, grooming, or feeding abilities. Territory, Wilderness, Property, And Reservation: Land And Religion In Native American Supreme Court Cases, Kathleen Sands

In two trilogies of Supreme Court Decisions, both involving Native Americans, land is a key metaphor, figuring variously as property, territory, wilderness, and reservation. The first trilogy, written by Chief Justice John Marshall, comprises Johnson v. M'Intosh (1823), Cherokee Nation v. Georgia (1831), and Worcester v. Georgia (1832). The second trilogy concerns Native American claims for religious freedom under the First Amendment and includes Bowen v. Roy (1986), Lyng v. Northwest Cemetery Protective Association (1988), and Employment Division of Oregon v. Smith (1990). "[This] I Know From My Grandfather:" The Battle For Admissibility Of Indigenous Oral History As Proof Of Tribal Land Claims, Hope M. Babcock

A major obstacle indigenous land claimants must face is the applicationof federal evidentiary rules, like the hearsay doctrine, which block the useof oral history to establish legal claims. It is often oral history and storiesthat tribes rely upon as evidence to support their claims, reducingsubstantially the likelihood of a tribe prevailing. Indigenous oral historypresents unique challenges to judges when faced with its admissibility.Canadian courts have largely overcome these challenges by interpretingevidentiary rules liberally, in favor of the aborigines.
