Neuro-Fuzzy Based Hybrid Method For Modeling And Control Of Ph Neutralization / Mohd Fauzi Zanil, Zanil Mohd Fauzi

Student Works (2010-2019)

The pH neutralization is regarded as one of the fundamental parts of industrial chemical process. In electrochemical industry for example, heavy metals must be recovered (by reducing the solubility of the metals) from waste streams by controlling the pH value to prevent polluting the environment. The pH neutralization shows strong nonlinear characteristics because of feed condition. Theoretically, the nonlinear effects for this process come from negative logarithm of ionic hydrogen, where process dynamic occurs when the hydrogen ions increase or decrease during neutralization process and because of dynamic nonlinearity called the ‘‘S-shape’’ curve which consists of extreme sensitivity and insensitivity …

Study On Structural Transformation Of Molybdenum Oxide Catalyst For Propane Oxydehydrogenation (Odh) Reaction / Durga Devi Suppiah, Durga Devi Suppia

Student Works (2010-2019)

Catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) of propane is recognized as an attractive alternative process as compared to propane dehydrogenation which the latter requires higher reaction temperature. For ODH of propane, key points in synthesizing an active catalyst are the preparation method, surface reducibility, and acid-base properties. However, existing ODH catalysts gives low activity and poor selectivity. Combination of optimal activation thermal analysis and structural control can help to guide and gain insight into the structure-activity relationship of the nanostructured catalyst system. Molybdenum and vanadium oxide based catalyst has been identified as one of the most suitable catalyst for the reaction. However …
