Hiv Services For Refugees In Egypt: An Evaluative Study, Reham Hussain

Refugees are a higher risk population for HIV infection due to the absence of proper medical attention and socioeconomic stability during flight and at the country of asylum. Cairo is home to refugees from high conflict regions where sexual violence is prevalent, thus calling for a strong HIV focused care program. This study IS a small scale evaluation of the HIV and AIDS services targeting refugeesâ in Cairo at Refuge-Egyptâ s VCT clinic. Populist Retribution And International Competition In Financial Services Regulation, Adam C. Pritchard

Law & Economics Working Papers

This essay compares the current effort to reform financial services regulation with the regulatory initiatives that come out of the Great Depression. Unlike the 1930s, policymakers today must account for the impact of regulatory competition in crafting responses to the financial crisis. The available evidence suggests that jurisdictional competition is no match for the forces of populist retribution in modern democratic states.

Despite the critical significance of the roles played by media in conflict and conflict resolution, this area has been relatively neglected by both scholars and practitioners. Most existing studies focus on the often negative contributions of the media to the escalation and violence phases of conflict. Very few studies deal with the actual or potential media contributions to conflict resolution and reconciliation. Indeed, the media, particularly radio and television, were instrumental in fomenting conflict and violence in places such as Rwanda and Bosnia. Aerospace Engineering

The design of circulation control (CC) dual radius flap systems were investigated to characterize the parameters that make up the flap surface to offer further knowledge into the CC field of study. Multiple dual radius flap geometries, along with variants, were developed by varying specific flap parameters from a baseline configuration that had previously developed. The aerodynamics of the different flap geometries were analyzed using two-dimensional CFD. This research will explore the design of CC pneumatic flap systems to improve the performance of existing CC flap configurations, and provide insight into the characteristics of the CC flap geometry.
